Extreme Rising News: Rhino, Sabu Off Friday Show, Possible iPPV Update

April 20, 2014 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

– More craziness with Extreme Rising, as the promotion has pulled two more talent for their show this Friday in Philadelphia. The promotion has pulled Rhino from his match with Devon Storm at the show, while Sabu will not do the Friday show but will be on the Saturday “anniversary” show. In Sabu’s case it was an instance of the talent double-booking himself between Extreme Rising and Big Time Wrestling; Sabu is doing a one-shot for each of the two promotions to make good.

– Steve O’Neill, who has been the target of some online disputes, said that he will be releasing a statement this evening. As previously reported, O’Neill has been in a dispute with Luke Hawx, who was set to main event the coming shows but walked away from the promotion due to communication issues with O’Neill and claims that there have been a host of issues with the promotion. (You can read more about those here.) As of this point, Hawx is in physical possession of the promotion’s championship title.

– O’Neill posted the following to his Facebook page:

Next Friday STEVE O’NEILL will have a cup of vodka aka truth serum and a microphone. My friends at the former ECW ARENA I speak some serious truth. And F**K YOU to all the non-believers.

He added that he may put it on iPPV after all also. The Extreme Rising shows were initially set for the iPPV format but were pulled from it late last week. O’Neill noted:

All I can say is I’ve been working on an alternate solution. Other “vendors” can’t hang so I have to get sh** done myself! Monday! Monday! Monday!
