Sting Signing With WWE No Longer Believed to Be a Lock
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 05.21.2014

- We know you love your Sting/WWE updates, so here's the latest one for you and it's about as informative. As you undoubtedly know, Sting has been rumored to be signing with the company since WrestleMania and before, with the man himself having made a couple hints toward it and several reports saying that he had a contract and just had to sign it. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the more time that has passed the feeling is that the signing is no longer "imminent."

If it doesn't pan out, this isn't the first time that negotiations have come close and then fallen apart. Sting said in an interview several years back that he had nearly agreed to a 100-date contract but he ended up going back to TNA for guaranteed similar money and far less dates, considering that he didn't have to do house shows and wasn't used on all TV shows and PPVs.

Sting is still set to do several WWE Network and WWE DVD-related projects, so it's likely not a dead thing yet. Believe me, we'll be as happy as you guys are when it's finally conclusive one way or another.
