Various News: Mick Foley Appearing On Svengoolie This Week, Team 3D Hosting Cancer Benefit Show, More
Posted by Joseph Lee on 09.01.2014

- Mick Foley will appear on the September 6 episode of ME-TV's Svengoolie, which will focus on Werewolf of London. It airs at 10 PM ET. Other wrestlers who appeared on the show include Jim Cornette, Jerry Lawler and Lisa Marie Varon.

- NBC has photos from Antonio Inoki's wrestling event in North Korea, which you can find here.

- Rifftrax have riffed on Jesse Ventura's movie Abraxas, which is available now on Hulu Plus.

- British wrestler Jackie "Glitterboy" Evans has released an autobiography called Confessions of a Wrestler. Here's a synopsis: Martin Gillott, better known in the wrestling world as Jackie ‘Glitterboy' Evans, knew early in his career that life in the ring would be no walk in the park. Posing as a blond, Lurex-clad gayboy who liked to fight dirty was great for ticket sales, but not so good for his health. He was knocked out five times in his career – always by a furious fan, never by his opponent. Yet Martin loved the game, and wouldn't change a day of his 12-year professional wrestling career. Now he tells all, including hilarious accounts of adventures in and out of the ring, fans violent and amorous, landladies who were scarier than Giant Haystacks and girls who were faster than Mick McManus. And then there were the many well-known names he rubbed shoulders with along the way, from Brian Glover to John Le Mesurier. Confessions Of A Wrestler will have you in stitches – just like ‘Glitterboy'.

- Team 3D are set to host a cancer benefit event through the Team 3D Wrestling Academy, working with "Hope For A Single Mom". It happens on September 13 at the Melbourne Auditorium in Melbourne, Florida. The event begins at 5 PM and bell time is at 7 PM. Along with Devon, talent includes Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan, Garrett Bischoff, SoCal Val and Jay Lethal, along with Academy students. You can find more information here.
