More On TNA's Surprise Announcement

As reported earlier, Vince Russo is headed back to TNA to head up the creative direction of the product and will likely be the "major announcement" that TNA is hyping for the No Surrender PPV on Sunday.
Several TNA personalities were told about the move today with many already concerned that Russo will move the product away from in-ring matches (which most argue is TNA's strong point) and towards skits and soap-opera style storylines. Many are also upset because if Russo is the big announcement for the PPV (or the only announcement), it is a huge disappointment and will upset many fans. Many also take it as a sign that Russo has not changed, since overhyping stuff has always been something he has done.
There is also a lot of curiousity as to what this means for Jim Cornette. Cornette and Russo have been bitter enemies for years now. The idea for now is to keep the two as far from each other as possible.
