WWC Summer Madness and IWA Juicio Final results!
Interesting weekend as WWC and IWA have big events on the same day.
WWC Summer Madness from Bayamon PR on 5/12/2007
- The D'Jour Twins defeat Los Adorables in a very solid opener. The twins recent winstreak and apperances on TV seem to indicate a push beyond their usual filler status.
- Voodoo Man defeats Superstar Romeo by pinfall after nailing him with the voodoo staff. How the mighty have fallen. Romeo was one of the top emerging new stars and has gone back to being a jobber as of late.
- William De La Vega defeats Kimura by pinfall after nailing him with the spanish flag. Kimura is the unnamed japaneese guy that I had referred to in previous results. He wears a mask and dresses like a cross between Jushin Liger and Great Sasuke, but since he wears a mask, there is no telling if he really is from Japan or is just a puerto rican under a mask.
- Superstar Ash Rubynsky defeats Hannibal by pinfall with the F-5. Ash was chosen by Bronco and Rico Suave to teach Hannibal a lesson. Hannibal had turned on Bronco during a tag team match two weeks ago. After the match Rico Suave comes out to mock Hannibal, but Hannibal attacks him. Huracan Castillo and Ash get in the ring and help Suave beat Hannibal down.
- Bronco #1 & Rico Suave defeat Noriega & Chris Joel by pinfall to win the WWC Tag Team Titles. The finish has Suave pinning Noriega after using a set of brass knuckles.
- BJ defeats Rick Stanlee by pinfall to win the WWC Junior Heavyweight Title. The stipulation was that no one could interfere during the match or they would be suspended. After the match, Ash, Lucky 7, and William de La Vega come out and help Stanlee beat BJ down. The four then made a new group whose name I failed to catch.
- Out comes Crazy Rudy and Barrabas Sr. This segment is all due to the controversy of who injured Barrabas Jr, an angle that has been running for several months(since February if I am not mistaken). Rudy says that Suave blamed him for the attack, but that he had a CD in his hands that showed the true attackers. He told someone from production to play it, but out comes Rico Suave and says that there is no need for that. He takes the CD and breaks it. Barrabas Sr demands to know why he did that and Suave simply attacks him. Rudy was also attacked as Barrabas Jr came out, still injured and on a wheelchair, to plea for Suave not to attack his father anymore. Suave attacked Jr and gave him a piledriver. Rudy then rolled out and got his barbed wire 4x4 and managed to clean house and make the save.
- Huracan Castillo defeats Fire Blaze in a deathmatch to retain the WWC Puerto Rican Title. The finish comes with both men knocked out and the ref declares that the first man to stand will be awarded the match and the title. Blaze was moving first and was almost to his feet when Bronco #1 came out. He grabbed a microphone and told Blaze that he had a folder with pictures of Blaze without the mask(taken by him after an ambush attack shown on TV). He told Blaze to lay down or he would show the world his ugly mug. Blaze laid down and this gave Castillo enough time to stand and be declared the winner. I bet this leads to some sort of hair vs mask match.
- Apollo defeats Alofa the Samoan Tank by pinfall to win the WWC Universal Title in a match in which Eddie Colon was the special referee. Originally Eddie was counting slowly whenever Apollo had the pin. This led to his father coming out and arguing with him. It seemed to get to his head and he finally counted the fall for Apollo to win the match.
NOTE: They advertised Crazy Rudy vs Black Pain for the TV Title and Eddie Colon vs Joey Mercury. Neither match happened for reasons unknown.
IWA Presents Juicio Final(Judgement Day) from Toa Baja PR on 5/12/2007
- Noel Rodriguez & Dennis Rivera defeat Shaka the Trucker & Bolo the Red Bulldog by pinfall. Noel pinned Shaka after his father's patented Facebuster DDT(he is the son of Victor the Bodyguard, RIP). Noel won the IWA Hardcore Title(the last title his father held) according to a stipulation agreed before the match that the winner of the pinfall would win the title.
- Kafu defeats Jesus Aguilera by pinfall. Kafu is a new big guy who was brought in by Orlando Toledo to help him crush the faces. Jesus is Carlito's former bodyguard in the WWE and did some work in Wrestling Society X. Kafu won with a Chokelift Bomb.
- Amazona defeats Black Rose by pinfall to win the IWA Women's Title in the tournament finals. Rose then turns on Amazona and attacks her.
- Los Lucha(Phoenix Starr & Zorke) defeat Los Aerios(Carlitos & Hiram Tua) & The Dominicans(Balbuena & Eli Rodriguez) in a 3 Way Flag match. The object of the match was to capture their flag(mexican for Los Lucha, Dominican for the Dominicans and Puerto Rican for Los Aerios) and raise it to the top of a pole in a corner. One of Los Lucha claimed to be injured and was replaced by Kafu. Of course, this gave them the advantage and Los Lucha won the contest. One of the best matches of the night.
- El Bacano defeats Chicky Starr in a grudge match after El Diamante interfered and knocked Starr out with his loaded glove.
- Tommy Diablo defeats Psicosis and Billy Kidman in a 3 Way Dance for the Xtreme Cruiserweight Title. Match of the night full of great cruiserweight action.
- El Diamante defeats Jumpin' Jeff Jeffry in a "Loaded Glove on a Pole" match to retain the IWA Intercontinetnal Title. Jeffry gets the glove, but Diamante gets another glove he had hidden under the ring and uses it to knock Jeffry out and win the match.
- Chicano defeats Mikael Judas by DQ to retain the IWA World Title. Judas won the match after using his steel crucifix to knock Chicano out, but the decision was reversed when another ref came out and explained what happened. Chicano was then beaten down.
- Los Rabiosos defeat Cruzz & GQ The Ravishing to retain the IWA Tag Team Titles.
- Savio Vega vs Colossus went to no contest. The story was Savio trying to come back to the ring after being injured by Colossus. His family did not want him to do it. His brother Dennis Rivera came out first dressed like TNT(Vega's alter ego "super ninja" character) and brawled with Colossus(Dennis a new TNT? I think it would be a good idea) but was quickly decimated. Before he could be injured further, Noel Rodriguez hit the ring with a baseball bat, but his attacks where blocked and Colossus gave him a powerful chokeslam. Chicky Starr took the bat and went in next, followed by Invader #1(so much for retirement?). Starr dropped the bat as Colossus attacked him, but Invader got it and tried to attack Colossus. He ducked and Invader blasted Starr, then was chokeslammed by Colossus. Savio finally came out against everyone's wishes and managed to clean house.
