More WWE News: Developmental Star Arrested for DUI, Roadkill Angry and More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 02.15.2008

- WWE Developmental Star Ted DiBiase Jr was arrested this morning in Tampa Florida and charged with a DUI. DiBiase, who is 25, was arrested at 3:30am after he crashed his SUV into another vehicle. Thankfully there were no serious injuries from the accident. When police arrived DiBiase showed signs of impairment and was given a breathalizer test. He blew a 0.137 and a 0.138. Anything above 0.08 is considered "impaired." The Tampa Tribune has coverage of the story here.

- Mediatakeout.com is reporting that Eminem is secretly training to make an in ring appearance with WWE. WWE has been considering a celebrity match for WrestleMania, but have not made any firm plans.

- The recently released Roadkill posted on his MYSPACE page about his release, and what is and is not true. You can read it here.

- The May 19th edition of Monday Night Raw will take place at the Kemper Arena in Kansas City. Tickets will go on sale March 15th. The event will take place 4-days prior to the anniversary of the death of Owen Hart. Hart fell from the rafters of the Kemper Arena May 23rd 1999.

Ron Killings & Eminem vs. John Cena.
Pure money.

Eminem eh? Would be interesting if he was actually serious about it.

I guess Cena's a bit above hip hop these days.

He should form a stable of rap guys and fight against Murdock n Cade and a stable of redneck wrestlers and feud over Rap vs Country. It would kill!!

Whoa. Kemper? I wonder if this year Owen is going in the HoF? Maybe nothing ... you never know with Dubble Dubble E.

Will Kane go crazy and act as if he's seen Owen's ghost?

why not have Smackdown at the Kemper Arena? it would air on the anniversary.

I'd mark out like a schoolgirl if Cade/Murdoch performed Rap Is Crap.

Posted By: JMASCORPIO (Guest)  on February 15, 2008 at 02:25 PM

wwe has been to Kemper several times since the unfortunate accident..

this isn't a first and shouldn't be seen as anything to do with owen's hof status..

however, Kemper aside..
I still feel this could be the year for him to enter.. but next year is more likely.

It'll be a bigger stage with it being WM25 (or XXV if you like) and it will be the near 10 year mark since it happened.

"He should form a stable of rap guys and fight against Murdock n Cade and a

they could make a single and call it, "Rap is Crap", and then they could sing it and feud with the No Limit Soldiers! that is an innovative idea!!! :)

Eminem making an appearance would be gold! They should have him feud with Y2J or Jeff Hardy, and the promos will be sweet.

that's been done - remember Kurt "Mr. Perfect" Henning's I hate Rap video in WCW.... Pure gold. I'm singing it now. (sarcasm implied)

Oh wait, most of the people who read this were still in diapers then. But then again, leave it to Vinny Mac to take something old like that and do it all over again and call it his original idea.

By the way, wasn't that some other creative guy named Vince's idea? (Russo is implied)

I find it sad half the West Texas Rednecks are dead... and 90% of their wrestling talent...

Posted By: G-Walla (Guest)  on February 15, 2008 at 03:25 PM

I can tell you that the only thing preventing Owen Hart from entering the HoF is his widow Martha, who wishes to do nothing with the WWE or the business in general.

Posted By: Henry (Guest)  on February 15, 2008 at 03:43 PM

Sucks for DiBiase, but at least it didn't happen after his debut, or it would be a long time before he would be given another shot (look at DH Smith).

Posted By: Guest#7003 (Guest)  on February 15, 2008 at 05:10 PM

Ditto for Martha Hart blocking Owen in the HoF... it's a part of her 18 million dollar settlement. That sucks for his actual fans; a legend in every sense of the word

Eminem + WWE = Best thing ever!

Posted By: Barry Toastman (Guest)  on February 15, 2008 at 06:32 PM

Why didnt DiBiase Jr not buy the cops off? Everybody has a price,im sure some agreement could have been reached.

Posted By: Jigsaw (Guest)  on February 15, 2008 at 08:32 PM

I guess everyone doesn't have a price, otherwise the cops would have led Ted Jr. walk away.

That sucks...I was hoping to see him make a WWE debut. I bet he's released by next week...either that or he goes into WWEhabiliation and returns in six months.

if nothing else eminem's promos will be the shit.

Interesting that WWE is going to Kemper..there is the brand new Sprint Center in KC that is begging for events to fill dates, and is a much nicer venue. Unless WWE choose Kemper for a specific reason, the only thing blocking Sprint Center would be a concert already booked, though Monday is an odd day to have a major concert event.

And concerning DH Smith, he was brought up and punished AFTER his positive test result to make an example. Isn't Ted Dibiase, Jr the FCW champ? It will be interesting to see if TD Jr drops the FCW title at the next show.

Irony: TNA brings in a niche celebrity, and get insulted... WWE brings in a whiney little bitch ass rapper, and gets hailed as awesome.

Posted By: Travis (Guest)  on February 16, 2008 at 01:25 AM

Travis, I think you'll find that's because WWE has a decent track record of using celebrities effectively. Hell they got Mike F'n Tyson to appear but they didn't derail months of storylines and pushes to put a belt on him. Like him or not, Eminem is a GLOBALLY recognized name and could boost the buyrate if it actually happens.
