Who will WWE announce for the HOF tonight?
- Former TNA stars The Naturals were backstage at RAW last night.
- The website for the new WWE Kids Magazine will launch soon at wwekids.com.
- Here is the official blurb for WWE's upcoming Andre the Giant biography which is due out in October.
Andre the Giant is known to millions beyond the boundaries of the wrestling ring. From his sheer size of 7' 4" and 500 pounds to his memorable acting role in The Princess Bride, the circumstances of his life and career ensured him recognition wherever he went. Born Andre Rousimmof in a small village in France in 1946 (to parents of average height, as were his four siblings) he suffered from acromegaly, or gigantism, which results in an overabundance of growth hormones. By the age of seventeen Andre was 6 ' 7", and continued to grow throughout his life. At the time there was no treatment and life expectancy for this rare condition was forty-five. Determined to make the most of his life, Andre looked for a profession where he could put his size to good use and enjoy each day as if it were his last. As a wrestler he traveled to Canada and then to the USA where, under the aegis of Vince McMahon Sr., he quickly became a superstar, performing to crowds of up to 90,000. Chronicling his life and his phenomenal rise to stardom and featuring input from many who knew and worked with him, this book gives readers a unique insight into the man known and loved across the world as the gentle giant.
- The 3/28 episode of Smackdown will air at 9:30PM in Philadelphia, after the Devils/Flyers NHL game.
SPOILER WARNING!
- WWE will announce on ECW On Sci-Fi tonight that the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2008 will be Eddie Graham. Dusty Rhodes will likely do the induction while Mike Graham, Eddie's son, will accept on behalf of his late father. Graham was the promoter for Championship Wrestling from Florida.
it is great to see vince induct all the guys he put out of business by raiding their talent and invading their territory into the hall of fame.

A great addition, but I have to wonder why this wasn't announced on Raw.

Its all to spice up the ECW rating since its dropped in the last weeks. ECW isnt really bad but it doesnt have any big names. And if a show dont have big names you dont get ratings, doesnt matter how good the show is.
But still nice that they havent completely forgotten about WWECW.

I thought it'd almost certainly be Funk due to them waiting till ECW to announce it. Damn. I guess maybe next year, along with Steamboat and Arn Anderson.

"Born Andre Rousimmof in a small village in France in 1946 (to parents of average height, _as were his four siblings_)..."
I love bad grammar. I'm sure they meant to say that his siblings were of average height, just like his parents, but what that sentence actually says is that both Andre the Giant and his siblings were born to parents of average height. Well, I'd hope so, else they wouldn't be siblings!

Good to hear Eddie being inducted. What about Crazy Luke?

The man who should really be inducted, ESPECIALLY since 'Mania is in Florida, is Gordon Solie.

Who is Eddie Graham?

welcome to the capitalistic economy, rey.
the whole point of capitalism is to buy or bury your competition until you are the only choice left.
which is what makes it the opposite of communism, which starts off with only one choice, breaks down into a capitalist system which leads back to a monopolistic system.
and i agree 100% that Gordon Solie should be inducted when they are in Florida. but who knows? there is still time to swerve us all and get him in.

Eddie Graham humm, lets see, he rigged an injury in order to get an eye surgery he could not pay for otherwise, and in a shocking twist, he committed suicide because he could not get off the boos. Oh well, there may be hope for Benoit to be inducted after all. Way to lower the bar Vince.

Umm, ECW? Terry Funk makes a wee bit more sense to me.
Posted By: Joe (Guest) on March 18, 2008 at 08:49 PM
BOOZE motherfucker, it's spelled b-o-o-z-e. This is basic.
And Eddie Graham is one of the brightest wrestling minds in the history of the business. He "got it," much better than any of you (or me, or anyone else but maybe Arn Anderson). Young'ns need to show some respect, AGAIN.
And he wasn't a child-murdering fuck, so Benoit is still nowhere close to getting in.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Andre and everything, but no way was he ever 7ft 4!

MP, your comments amuse me. I love the fact that I got heat from you. Sometimes it is just to easy

I seem to remember from my history lessons that conquerors would ELIMINATE the names of his defeated foes. Ill give Vince a little credit for actually honoring SOME of his very worthy opponents.

Vince didn't put him out of business. It was Jim Crockett who raided his roster and later purchased the territory.

rick rude needs to be inducted in hof soon
Posted By: joseph (Guest) on March 19, 2008 at 07:33 PM
In a shoot interview, Billy Jack Haynes said tha Dusty was the reason for Eddie Graham's suicide. So, why would WWE allow Dusty to induct Eddie? That's liek the Invader inducting Bruiser Brody!
