Much more WWE news on a busy day!
- Several wrestlers were surprised that Floyd Mayweather didn't appear live on RAW last night, considering it was the go-home show before WrestleMania. WWE figured it was best to have Mayweather appear via video packages after what happened last time he was on RAW.
- WWE is advertising a John Cena vs. JBL vs. Shawn Michaels WWE Title match for their 5/10 show in Kalamazoo.
- Variety has an article up detailing WWE's plans to market towards children. Check out the article here.
- Smackdown last week finished with a 2.5 rating.
- WrestleMania XXIV will be released on Blu-Ray disc on May 20th, the same day as the regular DVD is released.
- DirecTV has an interactive channel dedicated to WrestleMania 24 on channel 116. The channel is airing all the WrestleMania commercials over and over again. The interactive part also features a puzzle game that hypes Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather.

Advertised matches never happen. They are just used to sell tickets.

advertised matches alot. Cena wins!

I don't want Cena to win. I'm pulling for Triple H. He hasn't held the title in
forever. And I'm not counting his reign during the PPV (can't remember which
one it was).

I dunno, I expected it . . it's smart to keep Cena's streak going for when Taker
retires. Streaks are instant draws, IMO. Then again, Cena doesn't exactly have
the same sorta mystique . .

Oh no. Cena might win.
Boo.
Fucking.
Hoo.

giving cena the title back is a good idea. this way, cena and hhh can feud and
they can turn hhh heel again like everyone wants.

I didn't need to see an advertisement to know Cena was going to win. He always
wins, you just gotta accept it :(

SkyTV does that here too (WM commercials 24/7) on channel 775 I believe.

Cena is the only big, jacked-up guy Vince can trust right now. Trips is the
other one, and they will need each other for a feud. JBL will get a token shot
because he is a company man. Orton shuffles back to the middle of the pack
after Mania. You can't blame Vince, kids love Cena and (so far) he is clean as
a whistle.

JBL will win at WM when little bastard turns on Finley. Then we will get a bunch
of Finley trying to apologize to bastard for the next few months for not telling
him he is is father. I would love to see JBL win the title for a bit. It would
be a nice change in the Title scene. Not that it will happen.

Uhhh...didn't triple H get the title in October when he and Orton played hot
potatoe with it?
Cena = WWE. get OVER it or MOVE ON already.

If Mayweather can't keep his boyfriend in check, then fine him 20 million
dollars and drop him. Noone cares about his angle with Show anyways and this
will keep Show from having to do the job to that little annoying brat!!! He's
a joke!

Montreal is advertising a wwe title match between Randy orton and Triple H for
their wrestlemania revenge tour in May.

Advertised matches are not set in stone and besides, Backlash is before this so
Cena could win the belt there.
Posted By: el douche (Guest) on March 25, 2008 at 07:14 PM
Orton is going to keep the title at mania all because he got pinned on raw.
Posted By: DREW (Guest) on March 25, 2008 at 07:31 PM
Anyone remember the Backlash '06 commercial that aired on WM22 where John Cena
said that he was taking back what's his? This is no different.

People really need to stop hating Cena for no reason. sure, he's not my favorite
wrestler, and i REALLY hated when he acted like he was a marine, when he
wouldn't last one day on the front line (what a poser!), but he's a good
wrestler, a good mic worker, and an all-around decent guy. he earned his fame,
and didn't have to screw anyone's daughter to get where he is today, or be a
3rd generation star. get over ur hatred and jealousy for the man.

Everytime there is a big title match coming up like this, there is always
someone on these news forms (not saying you are stirring up shit) that talk
about some match advertised at a house show with a new champ. Alot of times it
doesnt happen, house shows are easy to change matches. When it comes around, it
probabally wont even be a triple threat anymore, and it will be like Y2J vs
Orton or something way different.

wow, cena wins... what a surprise
heres another one - the sun rises in the east
i can safely keep on not watching wwe with that stupid lamo

I've said this a thousand times and I'll say it again: WWE probably doesn't
even have Mania's booking finalized yet, let alone some house show match weeks
down the road. They have no idea what they're doing yet. Which makes all the
retard fantasy booking really stupid.
