What happened to Big Daddy V? Did his man boobs choke him out?

Ummm, well. With kind of a list, my odds on favorites for the show would be Kane
wins the battle royal AND the ECW Title.

I'm going with Kane
Posted By: y2kev (Guest) on March 25, 2008 at 11:42 PM
Looking at all the names in this battle royal, Kane is the definite to win. And
it wouldn't be bad if he won the ECW title either.

Stupid move by WWE. They have a golden opportunity to try to introduce a new
star yet they just go with all the old standbys. I realize a Wrestlemania
payday is important to those vets but if you debut a Chris Harris or Ron
Killings in that spot it would make far more of an impact in the long run.

Brian Kendrick ecw champ?
Posted By: of course (Guest) on March 25, 2008 at 11:48 PM
Kendrick but no London? Interesting.

Venis FTW!

The only 2 guys I can see winning at the moment (which would make sense seeing
as how Chavo is a HEEL champion), Kane and Tommy Dreamer.

it is real sad that no one is giving hacksaw a chance. i say he wins the battle
royal and the ecw title and dedicates his victory to the
USA!!!!USA!!!!USA!!!!USA!!!!

Looks like London is well and truly in the doghouse right now.

This match would have been the perfect opener to Wrestle Mania but im guessing
that Bunny Mania is more important so they decided to give the 5 minutes from
this match to that crap instead.

WE WANT STEVIE!!!!

Noble FTW, motherfckers

a battle royal to open WM? Nate please don't book wrestling shows in the future.
Battle Royals outside of the Royal Rumble usually stink. This list is nothing
exciting but I guess they had little options otherwise.

I very much expect Kane to win (and probably win the title) given that Dish
Network's description for ECW on Sci-Fi the last 2-3 weeks has been
"Starring the monster Kane."

I have a feeling Matt Striker was just a stand in for Big Daddy V tonight, for
whatever reason. And without Colin Delaney (which makes me a very sad panda)
I'd love to see Cody Rhodes get the match, if not the title.

Isn't London still injured ? .
Got to be Kane to take the win , unless of course we get the old "late
surprise entrant".

Looks like Kane but it would be great if Tommy Dreamer won and then Colin
Delaney costs him the victory over Chavo and they start something.

Out of that list, Kane is the only real logical pick to win, and my guess is
that he'll take the ECW Championship. My heart will be rooting for Val Venis,
however.

This match got taken off the PPV because Vince realized there was a woman's
match but no man so he was a sad panda until he got his man ass segment....not
like he cares about the ECW title anyways i mean look at who the contenders are
(no offense Kane)
Posted By: Matt (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 02:24 AM
Paul the Battle Royal followed directly after by the ECW Championship match
would have been a great opener. Personally I think that MITB opening the show
has been a terrible idea in the past. Sure it pumps up the crowd but that match
needs to be near the end of the card.
Posted By: natedoggcata (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 02:34 AM
sooo is it pretaped or something? I cant imagine they'd want to spoil what the
arena is going to look like and show it before the PPV even starts...

OMGDZ The Jobber Rumble is upon us!!
Posted By: Guest#0221 (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 03:43 AM
No Paul Burchill, disgraceful. And that also means no Katie Lea at ringside,
boo. But Deuce and Domino are in there, can't figure out that decision at all.
Posted By: Sabre (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 04:11 AM
London may still be semi-injured. Remember he's only fought a couple times
lately. I would've liked to see Stevie and Burchill, and perhaps a debut like
Willie mentioned, though that would definitely be wasted since it will only air
online, and would really only be worth it if the person won in their debut.
Killings for ECW champ would be fun. As it stands, it's basically Kane or
Dreamer for a nostalgia/reward win. I can't see a reason it should or would go
any other way.

Big Daddy V isnt in the match, but his manager is?
Posted By: Litas Biggest Fan (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 08:13 AM
I still think Matt Hardy is going to win either this or the Money in the Bank
match...

NEW ECW CHAMP
Tommy Dreamer
Posted By: steve0 (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 10:03 AM
I would actually really love to see Kane win. Sure, the ECW title currently
really doesn't mean anything, but at least it is still something. At least it
is a World title. Kane deserve's the WWE or World Heavyweight title, but I'd
love for him even to at least get the ECW title. That's why I'm pretty sure it
won't happen. They always screw Kane over and never give him the respect he
deserves. That, and they have made a joke out of ECW since not too long after
bringing it back. So, I am sure we'll get some ridiculous loser as champ, like
the Miz or some bull crap like that.
Posted By: RavenEffect (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 11:51 AM
Hacksaw Jim Duggan FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted By: Guest#7861 (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 12:42 PM
So how about that brand split?
Posted By: El Dandy (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 01:22 PM
Why aren't they holding a spot open for a surprise entry from Super Cena... he
could be ECW and WWE Champ and be totally overplayed... oh wait, he already is.
Posted By: Suprise Entrant (Guest) on March 26, 2008 at 06:01 PM
I guess Paul has never seen Wrestlemania IV or 14. Both opened with battle
royals, neither match set the world on fire, but they were nice little openers
that got the crowd into it. I'd bet money that this opens the show. So fuck
off.

kofi kingston has a chance...no?
Posted By: randyorton (Guest) on March 27, 2008 at 12:24 AM
It is gonna be the same thing that always happens. Kane will win it, then
someone like snitsky or matt striker (or any other HEEL) will come in and throw
them out by surprise. Then we will hear Michael Cole complain and make a foo
out of himself.
