More WWE News: Photographers, Fans Upset Over Cena, Andre the Giant Book, More
Posted by Ashish on 04.15.2008

- WWE no longer allows their photographers to shoot from ringside due to the fear that they will show up too prominently on HD broadcasts. Photographers now take their pictures from the area where WWE sets up their stationary cameras for TV broadcasts. Photographers still take photos from ringside at house show events though.

- Many fans in London were upset when John Cena didn't appear on RAW last night. He missed the show beause he was busy filming his new movie, 12 Rounds, in New Orleans.

- The first issue of WWE Kids Magazine is now out.

- Justin LaRoushe's WWE ring name is Bam Neely.

- The cover for WWE's upcoming Andre the Giant biography can be viewed here.

- Artist John Byrne says on his website that WWE decided to stop using comics in the new WWE Kids Magazine because they think kids don't read comics anymore. Two of Byrne's "Hardy Boyz in Space" comics will appear in the first two issues of the magazine and can be viewed here (scroll down a bit on the page).

WWE is right for once; kids aren't reading comics today.

And who the f*** is Justin LaRoushe?

does anybody read comics anymore?

Posted By: Guest#5529 (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 01:17 PM

Obviously you two don't read comics, so then you don't venture into comic stores and see that there are plenty of people who still read comics, kids included, but not hating those who don't know just informing them of reality

Posted By: Charlie (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 01:22 PM

I still read them and the comic store I go to on Wednesday is usually packed. But I kinda have to agree with the WWE I don't think kids will be interested in "hardyz in space" good call.

Justin Larouche is Chavo Guerrero's new bodyguard. He just got promoted up from developmental.

And yes, people still do read comics.

I like comic books.

again, vince and the wwe thinking they know what is cool and what is not.

this is the same company that did a "cruel intentions" angle 10 years too late

Posted By: rey (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 01:43 PM

but i thought that England hated Cena...that is what the Cena haters said.

it couldn't be that they are full of shit, could it?

Justin Laroushe is the man who helped Chavo Guerrero on last week's episode of ECW. I'd never seen him before. He looked alright, but the name Bam Neely is just terrible. I guess it's a play on former Boston Bruin Hall of Famer Cam Neely, but it still sucks.

Posted By: Rob (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 01:46 PM

WWE should be sucking John Byrne's cock not turning him away.

Posted By: tapp (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 01:47 PM

boo fucking hoo London fans, you can see Cena every other week. Also you guys have the greatest signs ever

"I bought my ticket when Cena got injured"
"John Cena for ages 5-12" man I must have lol'd for like 10 minutes at that sign

British fans were upset that Cena didn't show up? the Brits are all about realistic grappling style with amature style takedown moves and submissions. WHy would they want to see Cena?

Posted By: Davy (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 02:18 PM

First Kenny Dykstra and now Bam Neely...why don't they just let those two tag team to form "the Bathletes"

Posted By: 3BD (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 02:30 PM

The bajillion comic book films out there are no doubt getting kids into comics. I'm sure kids are more into comics than wrestling these days.

I really hope that this book will do justice to the legend that was Andre The Giant. I did not grow up a hulkamaniac - I was an Andre fan! May he rest in peace. He is missed.

Read: the 'da kidz' were upset John Cena wasn't there.

Everyone I know who went to it wasn't complaining, put it that way.

Why would they have Cena show up? It's not like he's in the main event of the next Pay Per Vi...oh. Hmm.

Posted By: HeyNothingYouCanSay (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 03:43 PM

Of course people don't read comics. They read GRAPHIC NOVELS! It's a real form of literature gosh darn it!

Posted By: Nick Noel (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 03:53 PM

They had probably many a rude chant and sign prepared for mr Cena and were let down big time when the man didn't show up.

"Your new name is Bam Neely! Genius!"

Posted By: Steve307 (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 04:34 PM

of course no one reads comics anymore for their whacked out sci-fi fix! they can get that from WWE and TNA programming. actually i still read comics but i just go to books a million and read them without buying them. call me cheap.......

Posted By: JMASCORPIO (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 04:43 PM

What's really messed up is that I honestly didn't even notice Cena wasn't there until I read this article. Cuck Fena!!!!!

I'd like to see the source on fans being upset about not seeing Cena. Considering the fact that the entire crowd would have been ok with giving Regal the title and its not just because he is from England but because he is awesome. It might be because Orton and JBL arent over in the UK and the mainevent might have been a bit weird for them.

Comics are for Losers

Posted By: Hank (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 06:23 PM

Kids don't read comics anymore they read manga. A Hardyz or Rey Mysterio manga would be marketable to kids... John Byrne fans are mostly 30 plus who grew up on the x men and superman.

Posted By: i equal ratings (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 07:59 PM

superman sucks

Posted By: Guest#8418 (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 08:25 PM

kids read comics of course

cartoons of any kind are still a "kid thing" asides from Adult Swim and Hentai, of course

I was at the Raw taping yesterday and the crowd was mostly kids so thats probably why there were people complaining about Cena not being there - I actually enjoyed the show alot and thought it was a good wrestling show

Posted By: G3KKO (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 09:17 PM

Cena actually was there but in his own words "You can't see me" And kids don't read comic books anymore? It took 50+ years but the Legion of Concerned Parents and Teachers of America has apparently won this battle

Posted By: jasonel (Guest)  on April 15, 2008 at 11:13 PM

Bam Neely, I love it.

"Kick his ass, B-Bass!"

I actually think this was one of the better Raws. Not because Cena wasn't on it, but it actually took me awhile to realise he wasn't there.

The lower and mid card is just doing an awesome job.

I saw the cameramen way back in 98 while watching fuzzy PPVs. Just because HD is here does that mean we suddenly see new people?

Posted By: Bolton (Guest)  on April 16, 2008 at 12:41 AM

No, they weren't "upset" that Cena didn't show up, that's just what WWE wants you to believe, dumbass. In case you hadn't forgotten, the official line is "ev3ryb0dy luvs C3N@!!!111"

Posted By: Guest#4666 (Guest)  on April 16, 2008 at 01:47 AM

I don't really read comics anymore....

I prefer Graphic Novels and Manga.

well i guess if vince has decided that kids dont read comics anymore then hes right. he knows whats best for us and he does all of our thinking for us. we dont know how things really are in the real world and vince does.

Posted By: gutter (Guest)  on April 16, 2008 at 06:37 AM

That sign at Raw: Cena for ages 5-12, was an instant classic. And I heard that the reason they were pissed Cena wasn't there was because they had their flaming toilet paper ready for his flaming ass.
