Update On Ashley/Escort Story
Posted by Ashish on 05.06.2008
So is she or isn't she?
Dave Meltzer reports that the fact that nobody has retracted the story about Ashley Massaro being a high-priced escort, as originally reported by Rolling Stone Magazine based on an FBI investigation into a high-class escort service in Los Angeles, probably means that Massaro hasn't delivered any substantial evidence that the woman in the stories isn't her. Most outlets would retract the story if Massaro's lawyers had evidence to raise doubt in the story.
she has appeared in one of my movies! XPW is rising again. So much better than that Total Non Stop Abysmal

That is a switcharoo on the burden of proof.
It must be The Rolling Stones hat goes out to document, that Ashley was a knowing part of this. Anybody can put up an ad saying so and so will suck you for money, that doesn't mean that so and so is employed by the people putting up the advert.

my view is, "who cares?". She wasnt hurting anybody (unless of course she was paid to) and she isnt the first diva to sell herself for cash, if anything she should be applauded for making 25 g's per trick.

I heard Bill Clinton hired her out for the night and used a 6 foot bong (no cigar this time) to pleasure her. Matt Hardy complained shortly after that her breath smelled like bongwater.

I'm hella guilty!

I agree 100% Space. What she does is her own business. Leave her alone. I am sure most of us would do it for less than 25,000 if we could.

Paul,
The "burden of proof" in a libel or slander case is on the "victim." They must prove that not only is the written or spoken language false, but was deliberately meant to cause damage. It is unlikely that Rolling Stone would be in any actual legal trouble even if the information is false as long as they printed it responsibly (with sources and all that).

Look! She admits it!

As humourous as the jokes are about Ashley being a whore, it really doesn't make any difference to me if she worked as an escort or not.
Deep down we're all whores. Ashley is just lucky enough to be a successful one! :P
If I could get $25k for spending the night with someone then I probably would. Right now I'd be lucky to get 25 cents...

Hey Ash, still going for 25g's a night? You can be guilty with me all over again! WOOO!

I have no idea if she's a whore or not, but I tend to think that a big magazine like Rolling Stone isn't going to waste time and money printing something untrue. They do not want a libel case against their name, and they fact check and make sure sources are reliable to avoid any misstatements of fact.

She was in Playboy, looks like a crack whore, and isn't a very entertaining wrestler. Why even give a shit if she was or wasn't? It's not like she has a reputation to ruin.

Yeah, this "story" can just die anytime.

This is all garbage, just a way for someone to get some idiots to pay them $25,000.I dont belive it one bit,if i said "give me $25,000 and you will get LITA for one night"That dont mean you will....

I thought in the country it was innocent until proven guilty. To Ashley's true fan she doesn't hav eto proved us with evidence that she's innocent her word is good enough for us.

If it really was her, and the whole point was to capitalize on her being in Playboy, why would she use her real name instead of McKenzie Ryan or Ryan McKenzie, the names she used in Playboy?

"I thought in the country it was innocent until proven guilty. To Ashley's true

Yeah you should probably work on getting your OWN life and not believe what everyone tells you, especially some useless celebrity. So if I was rich and famous, and I was accused of rape, and I said I didn't do it, then you would believe me, just like that? Please...
And about innocent until proven guilty, that is in criminal court, and I doubt Ashley Massaro is going to be charged with anything. This will probably end up in civil court, which doesn't have the same rules as criminal court. And as was said before if Ashley Massaro is going to sue Rolling Stone Magazine then she has to prove what Rolling Stone said was NOT true. The First Amendment, in its very nature, makes it hard to sue for libel, slander, and defamation of character. Oh, back to criminal court, let's say she is subpoenad (spelling?) to testify in court, and she claims she had nothing to do with the escort ring, but she actually did (playing devil's advocate here) then she could be charged for perjury (lying under oath). It happened to Barry Bonds from the steroid trials.

I wonder if Ashley likes top-shelf. If so i'll take her!

I think this stuff probably started because she picked up a shady guy years ago and after the night he gave her money to shut up so she thinks that if she can make money from it, it's ok.
