Nick Hogan in Court Facing the Music
Posted by Ramon Aranda on 05.09.2008
Nick is currently in court.
Nick Hogan has just pleaded no-contest to the felony charge of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury.
Currently the plea calls for a year of county jail and five years of probation. The father of John Graziano, Nick's friend who was injured in the crash is currently making a statement about his son and what the accident has done to his family.
"What Al-Qaeda couldn't do, Nick Hogan did in a matter of minutes." - Father of John Graziano
[John Graziano was a former Marine.]
Update #1: John's father is asking the judge to give Nick the maximum punishment. John's sister is now speaking and crying to the judge.
Update #2: John's girlfriend is speaking now. She thinks Nick should be punished to the maximum extent of the law. She says that Nick hasn't even shown any remorse - not even apologizing to the family. She's pointing out Nick's lifestyle of racing carelessly on the streets. She explains to the judge how things have changed and won't be the same ever again. She pleads to the judge that it shouldn't just be considered an accident - "an accident doesn't consist of the driver being drunk."
Update #3: The Hulkster has now taken the podium dressed in an all-black suit and black bandana (wtf?) to address the judge. He says John was like a son to him, spending a lot of time with him and Nick. He says his family has also been torn apart by the accident and they too are hurting.

I didn't realise Al Qaeda had made a previous attempt on John's life. Must have
been one of their smaller projects.

TG, Nicks friend was in the military.
Nick deserves to be punished but it's not like he did it on purpose. It was a
driving accident, Nick needs to learn the error of his ways but he's not a
doucebag, just a goofball. a year of Jail and No Liscense will be just fine.

5 to 6 years of jail is a little too much for that racing accident incident.
That family should be grateful that their son is alive and not dead. Yeah he's
paraylzed but he's alive so they should be lucky

nick is yet another in a long line of stuck up punks who think because tey have
some ties to a famous person they can get away with anything. he was drinkin
and driving, and he messed up someone badly by being a moron. if i had done
this, as a poor nobody, i'd be payin a buttload of money and i'd be in prison
for years. if my daddy was hulk hogan, i wouldn't be. end of discussion.

Since this is Nick's first Felony charge, considering his age, profile and past
driving record it's hard to sway one way or another for how this will go.
He won't get the maximum because he pled no-contest to avoid that, any lawyer
wouldn't allow his client to enter such a plea unless there was some sort of
understanding to keep the prison time minimal to none at all, with a heavy
probation period, suspended license, and comm.serve.
Putting the kid in prison will do nothing to bring John G. back, and Nick will
be nothing but a target and will have to be kept in some sort of solitary for
sure.
If I had to bet, I'm going to assume 1 yr with parole after 8 months and 5 yrs
probation.

Okay, I think Nick should take as much accountability as the next guy, but John
Graziano is to blame as well. Allegedly they both were intoxicated and I doubt
John was telling Nick to slow down. Also, he apparently wasn't wearing a seat
belt. I understand his father is hurting, but come on, it's not like he's a
five year old, John Graziano is at fault as well and the only reason that's not
being pointed out because he's a US soldier.

"Hey Ockbar, that's fucking Hogan's son"
Ishmal " Oh fuck that mother fuck, when Hogan went Hollywood I lost all
the respect in the world for him"
Ockbar " yah, let's bomb him or something"

The fact that both John and Nick both have speeding convictions etc and are
documented as both being speedy demons, since John was negligent in ignoring
the seatbelt laws the total fault will not all be Nick's which should come into
play in getting a reduced sentence.

Thank you Guest#2919 I was about to say the same.. The truth is their son is to
blame as well. I myself have been in the car more time that I should have been
with drunk friends that were driving stupid.. Even crashed into a building
once.. and honestly if what happened to Nick and his friend had happened to me
when we crashed the LAST thing I would want is for my family to take my friend
to court and ruin my friends life as well.. I MADE THE DECISION to get in the
car with drunk drivers, I hate when people try to deny responsibility..

this kid knew the dangers of getting in the car just as he knew the dangers of
signing up for the military. I agree Nick should receive a fine and probation
but not 5 years. this family needs to realize their grown up son was hanging
out with a kid much younger and it was his choice to do so.

Nuthin' like fake remorse to get the blood boiling..
i wish Nick was a vegetable.
Bring the BITCH down to the fullest extent of the law.

Didn't do it on purpose? so he accidentaly got drunk? RIIIIIGHT.
"That family should be grateful that their son is alive and not dead. Yeah

OK I have worked in long term care facilities and the whole. Oh they should be
thank full is a bunch of bullshit. when someones child or husband or sibling is
paralyzed most time the family is completely torn apart. and lots of them have
said that death might be better. you don't know what someone if feeling while
in a coma or paralyzed. One of my former patiens that had come out of a coma
but was still paralyzed from the neck down says that the coma was a long
nightmare because he knew the his family and friends were around him but he
knew that he was causing him sorrow. Then after he was released from the
speciality care center he ended up getting sent back because the family
couldn't care for him and couldn't afford the home nursing needed.

Whats the punishment for underage drinking, as well as underage drinking in
driving in Florida?
The courts made an example out of Wesley Snipes, Nick should be next. It might
make some of these high and mighty above the law celebrities think twice before
breaking the law.

Hulk should have stepped up to the plate from the beginning with money and his
own time as a responsible human being. The first visit to the hospital should
have been to tell the family he had put up a million bucks for the kid and then
talked over what else he could do. The fact that he's ducked and run from this
makes him look like a complete jerk. They probably wouldn't even be in court if
he had stepped up to the plate in the first place.

IT NO MATTER! MILITARY OR NOT MILITARY... NICK IS "FIND NO GUILTY"
like I said, and I'm gonna say it again.. Nick's innocent and Graiziano's
family need stop talk nagitive or point finger at Nick and say "need more
punishment" I'm sick of it. Nick's friends's his family continue point
finger at innocent Nick and it was like thousand worm in my stomach! and
couldn't throw up! Image it!

He gets 5 years probation, 3 years suspended license, has to go to DUI school
and has to do 500 hours of community service.

people seem to be forgeting that no one forced John into the car. Now i do not
know this for a fact but i have to guess that john willingly went and was
possibly even in favor of what they were doing.
This is NO WAY in defense nick, hes a stupid rich kid who thinks laws don't
apply to him. But he is a kid and a kid doesn't deserve to go to jail for 5
years for doing something stupid that kids his age do all the time. It just so
happens he has a sports car, thats not his fault, thats Hulks fault.
Hulk Hogan is hugely at fault here for allowing his son to do this, and whether
he was there or not Hogan supplied Nick with the tools to do this and I hope the
Grazianos take him for millions of dollars in civil court, Linda too if their
funds are now separated.
As cocky a bastard as nick is, a year in jail (provided its a real jail not
some cushy white collar jail) should scare the living shit outta him and set
him on a better path. I don't know whether or not to believe that hes shown no
remorse but if he indeed hasn't, put that shit head away for 2 years so that he
goes to prison and not county jail.
Either way I can not support the maximum penalty of 5 years and i think the
family is wrong for pushing for that. They should let him go away for one,
then target Hogan financially and take millions. As the lyrics in my favorite
rap song go, money can't take away the hurt but it can help wash away the dirt.

And now apparently he's getting 8 months jail time.
Posted By: HBK (Guest) on May 09, 2008 at 03:49 PM
whatcha gonna do, Hulkster? When yer son gets butt raped in prison? HA! Awesome.
Fuck that little punk.

Nick Hogan must SUFFER!
Posted By: Warrior (Guest) on May 09, 2008 at 03:54 PM
5 years probation
500 Hours of Community Service
No Alcohol until Probation is over.
License revoked for 3 years.
8 Months in Jail.
AWESOME

No, Graziano wasn't wearing his seat belt which is dumb in itself but he wasn't
the one driving the car. Should he have known the dangers? Sure but Nick
should've known the dangers as well considering he's the one behind the wheel.
How about being a real friend and not letting him get in the car or, I don't
know, not drinking and driving period?

Straight from Wikipedia:
"On May 9, 2008 Hogan entered a no contest plea and was sentenced eight
months in Pinellas county jail. The sentence also calls for Hogan to serve five
years probation, 100 community service hours per year and his driver's license
was suspended for three years."

facing the music.

After seeing John's brother on tmz. I think Nick should be watching his
back.John's brother looks like he could be connected. Nick may have a bounty on
his head. Ha!
Posted By: bubba army (Guest) on May 09, 2008 at 04:26 PM
John's fault for getting in the car and not using his seatbelt
Posted By: Jones (Guest) on May 09, 2008 at 05:09 PM
I don't agree with what Nick did but did anyone ever stop to think maybe John
should not have gotten in the car with an underage drunk who likes to race?
DUH!!!!!
Posted By: ynothing03 (Registered) on May 09, 2008 at 05:36 PM
Yes I realize that Nick is under 21 and therefore any alcohol is too much but be
blew a .055 That's maybe 2-3 drinks. Unless it was his first time drinking I
seriously doubt he felt anything from that. It's certainly not enough to impair
him and cause an accident. The accident was caused by being immature not drunk.
The sentence was more than adequate. He clearly recieved no favoritism for
being "Hulk's" son. I think he should do community service that
includes talking to high school kids about the importance of wearing your
sealbelt because it's very likely John would've walked away from the accident
and be fully recovered if he had his seatbelt on like Nick did.
