Nick Hogan Sentenced To Jail
Posted by Larry Csonka on 05.09.2008

- Today Judge Philip Federico of the Pinellas County Court sentenced Nick Bollea to the following sentence:

* 8-months in the county jail starting immediately.
* 5-years probation.
* 500-hours of community service, none of which can be performed by public speaking.
* No alcohol consumption for five-years.
* Drivers license revoked for three-years.

- It will not go down as a felony on his record. Nick was apparently "very accepting" of the sentence as he left the courtroom.

He did break a serious law.

Serves that snivelling piece of shit right. Hopefully he gets made into
someone's bitch and spends the next 8 months getting his virgin asshole
destroyed on a nightly basis - might teach him a lesson or two

0wn3d!!

"Whatcha gonna do brotha, when them brotha's with da 24 inch pythons come

They should make a spin-off of Hogan Knows Best, to Hogan knows Jaillove.

This seriously need to get filmed for Hogan KNows Best, him being in the slamma
for 8 months, he won't get fucked with too much.

For once the law works it's wonders. He's the son of Hulk Hogan and he's getting
a pretty large sentence. Think about it, he can't drink ANY alcohol for five
years. For a kid his age that's worse then anything. This is a very good
decision by the judge. Normally we read stories on how celebrities get away
with everything or their family get's in trouble and doesn't get sentenced to
anything. If this punishment doesn't teach this douche a lesson, nothing will

Nick will be fine in county jail, but you better believe that Hulkster will be
buying plenty of Honey Buns and Jolly Ranchers to keep the inmates away from
Nick. In jail, he who has the most bear claws gets the most respect.

What's with all the hate on Nick?

If the douchebag, John Graziano, was wearing a seatbelt he probably wouldn't be
a vegetable.

If anyone got what they deserve it was him.

You guys... people arent made other peoples bitches.. IN COUNTY JAIL! He is not
going to be locked up with murders, rapists, child molesters, and gang bangers.

I hope Nick gets the full prison experience.

Posted By: Guest (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 04:29 PM

I was close I guessed/hoped for one year in jail, and three years without a
license. The community service and the no drinking is just icing on the cake.
I couldnt watch reruns of Hogan Know Best just knowing what Nick's negligence
did to that kid.

8 months in what kind of facility? county jail, not like an actual prison?

yeah that's not that scary(fuck if I'd want to do it, of course)

Posted By: Drue (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 04:32 PM

Seems fair to me. Then again, I'm just an everyday person. I'm not the victims
parents who's son will never be the same again. I feel so bad for that whole
familly. Nick should feel lucky considering his sentence could have been much
worse. My heart goes out to everyone involved with this...yeah, even Nick.

Nick Hogan, Nick Bollea. Terry Boulder, Thunderlips. All these names.

Posted By: Chico (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 04:33 PM

Yes, it's probably the right thing. The kid messed up, his dad probably condoned
it, and his friend was unlucky (and did, in fairness, have his seatbelt
unbuckled apparently). Nick's messed up horribly but I feel he's redeemed
himself at least by a very small amount by pleading guilty, and the family see
justice done. Everyone wins except the unfortunate fellow who has to live the
rest of his life with permanent injury.

I don't think many people know what 'county' jail' is. No one gets raped in
county, well at least not like a statey. County jail is like a really shitty
hotel with bad food.

As more Marcus, you are an idiot and i pray for your sake someday you realize
how big of an idiot you are.

Vince is gonna make major money of this in 8 months time whenever Nick joins the
WWE

Posted By: IOV (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 04:39 PM

Um...no...sorry. For effectively ending another person's life, eight months in
County is pretty much a slap on the wrist. He deserved worse.

Posted By: BJC (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 04:39 PM

Guys... you arent made someone elses bitch in County Jail. He isnt going to be
locked up with murderer, gang bangers and rapists. He is there with people who
committed crimes similar to his or lesser crimes like repeated Vandalism.

Posted By: natedoggcata (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 04:43 PM

i gotta disagree with natedoggcata. Granted yes your not locked up with Lifers
and forced to barter you ass for a months desserts (which is how much his sweet
virgin ass is worth) BUT he will be locked up with small time dealers,
pederasts, and non english speaking fuckups. chnces are he will leave jail
angry at his dad, hooked on dope (take your pick), and a taste for puerto rican
dick. Plus once he gets out he'll probably fuck up again and do more jail time.

Posted By: Guest#3402 (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 04:48 PM

That's a slap on the wrist. He got that sentence because of who his dad is.

Posted By: Kevin (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 04:53 PM

This is really sad, and just honestly not an easy topic to talk about. On the
one hand, I am glad to hear that justice was at least served to some degree.
Nick made a MAJOR screw up and did not deserve to just be let off, and
especially not just because he and/or his father are celebrities. On the other
hand, as STUPID as it was what he did, I'm sure it was just an accident. I
highly doubt Nick got in that card thinking "Hey, let's drive drunk and
crash now!"

Can you imagine what he must be going through to know what he did to anybody,
much less a friend? That is almost punishment enough... by which I sure as heck
DON'T mean that he didn't deserve any punishment. He definitely did.

However, I kind of lean towards thinking 5 years would have been excessive.
Nick is not a hardened criminal, he is just a stupid young idiot boy.

Then again, it really is hard to say. I'm not the family of the guy who was in
the car with Nick, and I'm not that guy either. I can never imagine how they
feel. Like others have said, though, it isn't like Nick forced him into that
car. The guy was drunk too and made the decision himself to get in that car and
the decision not to buckle up. He and the family do need to take responsibility
for that and realize that it could just as easily have been the other way
around. They need to think how they'd feel had it been him who was driving and
Nick who had the permanent injuries. Wouldn't they feel like it was all a
horrible accident and want REASONABLE leniency while still a fair sentence?

Posted By: RavenEffect (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 04:54 PM

No, Ken Schmidt, I am not an idiot. John Graziano is an idiot. He got into a car
with a drunk driver and didn't wear a seatbelt.

I knew a kid (who was same age as) Nick, and is currently serving atleast 10
years in prison for the same offense. Same exact county in Florida. Fucked up

Posted By: kasehard (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 05:03 PM

All depends on what county that jail is in.. And actually, rapists, murderers,
etc ARE in there until sentencing.. And rapes DO happen. My dad was a cop for
29 years, my roommate was a prison guard, etc...

I think that if Graziano would've worn his seat-belt, it would've saved not
only his life (I don't call being a vegetable living), it would've also saved a
lot of grief on everyone's parts.

so he'll do what.. 4? 5 tops?

Posted By: Jamal (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 05:11 PM

Everyone who drinks has driven under the influence at one point, whether you are
buzzed or blackout drunk it's still DUI, but no one plans on crashing there car.
That is why I call John Gruziano an idiot, because he got into a car w/ a drunk
driver and didn't wear a seat belt. Hell if Nick hadn't been drinking I'd still
call him an idiot. There is a reason wearing you seatbelt is the law. I do not
feel sorry for him at all. That was his own choice he is a grown man.

Posted By: Marcus (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 05:16 PM

This is a good sentence. the sad part, however, is that the Graziano family
will continue with their civil suit, and will most likely win, getting money
they don't deserve.

as much as Bollea deserves his sentence, the Graziano family deserves nothing.
at any point, Graziano could have put on his seatbelt and reduced his own risk
of injury OR he could have gotten out of the car, and negated his risk
altogether.

the Graziano family should not profit from their son's stupidity.

McGruff the Crime Dog says:

"Beer does contain alcohol, which is a drug. Some adults, like your father
and uncle, may choose to drink beer. It's okay for most adults to drink beer or
have a glass of wine once in a while, but drinking too much can hurt them. And
alcohol can hurt kids. You and your friends should stay away from beer,
cigarettes, and wine coolers. Your body is still growing, and drugs and alcohol
can really hurt it. Drugs are dangerous and against the law for all kids."

Also, you can order McGruff's Buckle Up Coloring Book, which makes learning
about seat-belt safety fun...

Nick... see who fault is that? BROTHER GOING WILD!

Compare his sentence to paris hilton's repeated DUI charges. Only difference of
the crime is Nick actually had the accident that she could of had.

I say this ruling is fair, and every celeb should be held to it weather they
injure someone or not.

Actually, a recent study showed only 7 percent of all men get raped in jail,
which still is 25 times higher then the regualar standard, I believe.

Man you people are dumb as hell, it's a county jail. You think he's going to get

system before making dumbass comments like that.

chose to ride and put himself in a bad position. Mistakes on both of their
parts. He is just a kid. Jail is no place for a kid.

Even if raped do occur in county jail... THEY ARE NOT TOLERATED! That type of
stuff always goes unnoticed in maximum security prisons but if you rape in
County Jail, I hope your ass is loose because you will be caught, charged and
shipped off to State prison where your ass is free game.

Nick is a young man. Hopefully, this will be a wake up call and he will get his

I would also hope that Nick's parents got the same wake up call and they will
realize they have spoiled their kids rotten.
Giving things to your kids does not teach responsibility.

8 months only? Should have got more.

Posted By: Guest#4388 (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 06:52 PM

Nick got roughly what I expected. The no drinking or driving stips are good. I
agree with those pointing out the roles could have easily been reversed with his
friend and showing no sympathy. There's no way they put Hulk Hogan's son
anywhere that isn't safe for him. Remember, this largely happened because Nick
could get away with shit because of who his dad is. Anyone who drives drunk is
an asshole and deserves to be locked up. It's seriously fucked up that there
are no uniform sentencing standards. I hope Nick comes out of jail a whipped
puppy and never endangers others again, but I won't bet on it. I'm glad the
only person he hurt was basically an accomplice to his actions.

Posted By: Jason (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 07:01 PM

It's my understanding that a stay in county jail is relatively rape free, so I
think Nick doesn't have much to worry about, at least as far as forced
penetration is concerned. If I was him, I'd be accepting too. I'd rather do 8
months in county than 8 days in prison.

Wow, so lets review:

- Nick's drunken driving (while underage) leads to his friend being paralyzed
for life.

- Nick gets a grand total of eight months in prison, NO FELONY ON HIS RECORD, 5
year probation, 3 years he can't drive, no alcohol consumption for five years
when he isn't old enough NOW to drink.. yeah okay. BULLSHIT. Sorry, this is
bullshit. I don't care if he was "accepting" of his sentence, it was
because of him a kid's going to be a vegetable for the rest of his life and all
he gets is 8 months in prison with visitation and it won't even be on his
record. Repeated offenses and this is what he gets? Its better than nothing
but jesus, if somebody hurt me like he hurt that kid I'd hope they'd get more
than an eight month jail sentence. Apparently in the US celebrities can
basically murder somebody and waltz off with a slap on the wrist. Hope ya have
the full prison experience Nick and I'm sure it won't be the last time.

Umm... I'm confused.

If Nick got 5 years probation, doesn't that mean he WON'T be doing time unless
he screws up again? If he's going to jail anyways, what's the probation for?

Posted By: Vinz (Guest)  on May 09, 2008 at 07:44 PM

I think it was a fair sentence...I mean he's not even old enough to legally
drink anyways. Sometime in jail will be a little wake-up call. Then when he
gets out he won't even have a license for the next three years. His freedom is
gone.

The bottom line is that Nick made a mistake. He was speeding in his car that has
that cocky little rich kid liscense plate. But, Nick is the result of VERY BAD
PARENTING! That is the biggest problem. Why didn't Hulk and Linda punish him
for going 45 over and reaching speeds over 100mph, not once but like 6 times in
a matter of months? AYFM!?!!? What kind of parent lets that slide? How does one
let their kids act in such a stupid manner that puts the people on the road and
their own child in danger like that. I lost respect for nick's parents. Just
plain stupid.

I've represented drunks on vehicular manslaughter charges who have got 2 years
for basically killing someone. 8 months for "reckless driving" is
pretty severe in my opinion.

Like some have pointed out, if the friend had had his seatbelt on, he walks
away and there probably wouldn't have been charges at all.

Look fellas I don't if you guys have ever been locked up but Pinellas Co. jail
is a fuckin shit hole. I was there back in 04 ridin out a 364 day sentence for
aggravated battery. I was lucky enough to be able to work as a trustee and had
certain liberties that other inmates didn't have. So I saw a lot of shit. And
while it's unlikely that he'll become a prison bitch, because of who's son he
is he can get really fucked up. Bad. A celebrity like him will know two
words...Protective Custody. And that doesn't even guarantee his safety. Sucks
to be him.

A lot of people on this thread seem to think that Nick got off easy. I am not
so sure. There are not many of us that can say that we have never done anything
as reckless as what he did. The consequences may not have been as severe, but
then that could just mean we got lucky and got away with it. He is going to
have to live with the consequences of his actions for the rest of his life.
The sentence itself seems in line with the crime and Nick's lack of a previous
criminal record. I hope that all parties involved can find some sort of closure
and move forward from this tragedy.

"People get beat up in their cells

Maybe that happens in maximum security if your jail is badly run, but this kid
is obviously going to minimum security where he'll be surrounded by drunk
drivers and people who didn't pay child support.

So, not only do I doubt you really work in a county jail, but you obviously
watch too many prison movies.

Nick should be happy he didn't kill his friend or himself. If I were him I'd
react the same way. Everyone on this site can sit and say shit about both of
them but no one on this site could even fathom what he's going through. Imagine
the guilt of basically killing your best friend. It doesn't matter who your
parents are, everyone feels guilt.

couldn't cut it as a cop. A trustee is an inmate who with good behavior can work
in the kitchen serving and preparing the food and is housed on the minimum
security floor. Our pay was maybe a month or 2 off our sentence. I didn't want
to be their longer than I had to. With that said your not even close to a C.O.
You're mall security at best. And second now listen closely because this is
very important you've NEVER been in jail so shut the fuck up and speak when
spoken to.

And to the GURU, compared to prison you are absolutely right.

They both fucked up: One was drinking and driving, the other didn't wear his
seatbelt.

They're both tools and get no sympathy for being retarded. How often are BOTH
of those things preached in schools and public?

Absolute retards, and with all the non-drinking and no-driving Nick wil be
doing including his sentence, he deserves it. John copped a bit more than he
bargained though.
