I'm not sure WWE has any legal basis for shutting down e-feds if those e-feds do not in any way generate profit. MSN (or any other site) will listen just to avoid any sort of problem, but I'm pretty sure if somebody wanted to fight it they would win.

A TV taping in Knoxville? Hell yeah. Too bad I gave up free tickets to the next two Knoxville shows for free tickets to next year's Wrestlemania, though... Actually, I'm okay with that.

I really don't get the E-Fed thing. What's next shutting down fantasy football sites? Bans on fan fiction? What about betting on sports events?

The wwe has copyright over their characters, which means nobody else has the right to use them in any type of public forum/media.
You can't use the Undertaker name in wrestling (god knows the gimmick has been ripped many, many times in the indies), but the name is "sacred" (pardon the pun).I think this all has something to do with the new wwe.com under Joey Styles, if you search msn for a wwe character, and the traffic leads to some e-fed, that's an impact on wwe.com's ad-revenue.

If you're using a WWE wrestler's name for an e-Fed, you need to stop e-Fedding and get a better imagination.

Torrie did the right thing. I am proud of you Torrie.

I think casual_monday_mayhem is probably right. I've seen wrestling torrent sites get attacked by WWE lawyers and their objection was not to people exchanging rips of their TV shows and PPVs, but rather the fact the site administrator used copyrighted images in their banners.

It's a sketchy area. I'm fairly certain if you could prove you weren't making money off of it, then you would be okay. But that would mean a website you were paying out your own pocket with no adds or donation links or anything.

But, hey, maybe they wanna be like MetallicA and sue the fans, next.

Hopefuly DiBiase's autobiography will be better than his last one; Everyman has a Price. Don't get me wrong, it was a horrible read, just not very good. Mainly do to the fact that it felt life it was half written by DiBiase and half written by a ghost writer. The portion that DiBiase wrote was pretty good, but the portion written by the ghost writer was horribe. That portion was written entirely in the "character" of the Million Dollar Man.

That's right, you block those e-feds because god only knows how many multiple millions of dollars they are stealing from actually booking the characters better than you, for free, as a hobby. Instead of shutting them down they should hire the bookers, can't be much worse than what's on TV today.
