Nick Hogan's Lawyer Comments On Sentence

Says Nick is happy with it...
Nick Hogan's lawyer Kevin Hayslett said after the proceedings yesterday that Nick was happy with the sentence wanted "resolution out of respect for his friend John." Hayslett said that Nick was not a convicted felon and would go on to do good things with his life.
I'll bet Nick Hogan is happy with the sentence! Eight months versus five years?

He was never going to get five years. When it comes to court you always overstate what you want, because chances are you wont get it in full. For example, personal injury cases can go as high as 6 or 7 figures. But that doesnt mean that they will even get half of it. They might only get 5000. I see the judges ruling as fair. it makes sense if it was difficult for Nick to visit him in the hospital. If it were me, id have a very hard time walking in there. Your best friend, and brother is in a state that might as well be death, and its his fault. at 17 thats a lot to man up to. Especially for a kid whos lived a sheltered celebrity life. That being said, kid seems like a douche, maybe he will learn something.

Hulk Hogan helped shape Nick into the man he is today. This is what happens when a kid is spoiled rotten. It's not just the Hogan's but families everwhere to a lesser degree allowing this to happen by not saying no when they should.

Yeah, maybe he'll learn to make sure his friends buckle their seatbelt.

Re: Guest #9600
I think that sensible people who have their head screwed on the right way would probably have a hard time walking in on that situation. Even so, his NERF-ing and skating through the hospital halls would seem to indicate that other things were going through his head at time.
Since the brain-death of his erstwhile "best friend" has not apparently improved his character, I can't really imagine that he'll "reform" himself as he probably would have done that already if he had any inate sense...and I don't see 8 months in the county can affecting him either.
Since this is a pro-wrestling site, I have to wonder that, when he next returns to the 20' x 20', if this will affect Hulk's reception to any extent...it may not, but you never know...

The sentence is a joke..
By the age of 22 he will be able to drink again, and that's what? One year of legal drinking he can't do?

I'd be happy too if I walked out with a joke of a sentence and didn't spend one fifth of the time I was supposed to in jail. Yeah, county jail and minimum security at that, right? Something to celebrate. I'm sure he was skateboarding all the way to the jailhouse having his last 40 ounce but that's okay since he legally can't drink ANYWAY for 3 more years!
