TNA News: Matt Morgan, World X-Cup, Jarrett’s Possible Return and More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 05.12.2008

- The deal struck between TNA and NBC is one that allows TNA and American Gladiators to "share" Matt Morgan. Morgan will have to miss some NBC dates for Gladiators, as well as some TNA dates, but both sides will be able to choose their important dates, the agreement is done and everyone seems happy. Morgan's gimmick will be "The Beast," and he will come down from the ceiling in a cage, then being released. It is also designed for him to play a heel role on the show.

- Hector Guerrero went to CMLL and inquired about using Mistico for the World X-Cup, but he is booked through August and won't be able to be a part of the July event. CMLL also doesn't want to send Perro Aguayo Jr to be used, but are open to anyone else it seems. TNA would love to bring back hector Garza for this, but with his steroid bust a few years back, he cannot travel into the US for 7-8 more years.

- TNA will not be working with AAA, due to Konnan being heavily involved there and the fact that Konnan has a lawsuit filed against the company.

- The plans are for a Team USA, Team Japan and a Team "International" for the tournament.

- Jeff Jarrett has not retired, but recently tuned 41. Jarrett is not opposed to a return, but is waiting for the right time to do so, so that he can make a major impact.

- There was talk of bringing in Tammy Synch into the company in a major role. Some TNA talent recently worked a convention with her and came back with negative reports, so she is not under consideration any longer.

- Dark Angel Sara Stock should be getting a look from the company soon.

Team International? Seems to me they just couldn't get enough guys from Canada and Mexico to make two seperate teams.

Too bad it looks like TNA won't be bringing in Mistico or Perrito for the World X Cup.

CMLL has a couple other solid jr. heavyweights though, so it should still be good.

And Sara Stock is definitely a looker

I think Jeff should return again so, he can boost their successfully TNA: Impact. I alway hope and 1 day will become better. And why Booker T still in TNA and act like he better than any wrestler? Jay Lethal think he is better but he don't that the reason he try to be like Macho Man because he wish to be white and successfully colorful wrestler.

Wait? Matt Morgan is "Beast"? Which means that he taped episodes LONG ago because in the new previews for American Gladiators that starts tomorrow, they show "Beast" being lowered from the ceiling? I thought that he was NEVER going to be a part of the show?

it is interesting to note that nbc/universal now has a working relationship with both the wwe and tna.

Tammy got negative feedback? What did she do now? She seemed to be doing well from previous reports....

Sucks that neither Mistico nor Perro will be a part of the X Cup as they're both highly entertaining. Dr. Wagner Jr. and Atlantis own all of you. Viva Los Perros Del Mal!

The "negative feedback" from Sytch could be her resentment towards TNA for stiffing her on Candido's final check...you know, the one he died for...so, forgive her if she's a little bitter.

Team International: Sonjay Dutt, Curry Man, Shawn Daivari and maybe someone from Europe or Australia. I hope there is a Team UK, Team Japan, Team Canada, Team Mexico, Team USA and Team International. That's six teams, and one for each corner of the TNA ring.

Jeff Jarrett has never made a "major impact" in his entire career. I feel for the guy and his personal tragedies, but as a worker he's the very definition of mediocre.

Are there sic corners in TNA rings? I know there are six sides, but has anyone actually counted the corners?

Team International?

Thats just dumb !!

What no
Britan conatacts? England contacts? Canadian contacts?
Russian conatcts ?
Mexico contacts?

I think the better hold off on this !!

It's pretty bad the first ones were decent and they were run back in 2002 in the dam Asylum and TNA still can't get this shit together !!

I wish they would do just a full out X cup with; usa, uk, mexico, japan, canada, etc. Get a bunch of different teams as possible. Make it seem like a big deal and this is the top of the mountain when it comes to professional wrestling. Even invite the WWE to send a team to represent them as kinda of a middle finger to them. Get a big ol trophy or some belts for the winners to wear for a year. Do it like a true world cup.
