ROH News: May 14th Newswire
Posted by Larry Csonka on 05.14.2008

May 14th: We have major details for the 6/6 tournament in Hartford, CT to determine the new ROH World Tag Team Champions. There will be eight teams in the tourney. The format of the tournament will be announced next week in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. We can announce the eight teams now. ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness has insisted on being in the tourney so he can try to become the first man to hold the World Title and World Tag Titles at the same time. Go Shiozaki has agreed to be his partner, since Shiozaki needs a title belt for his stay in the United States to be successful. They round out the field of eight. Here are the eight teams in no particular order:
-ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness & Go Shiozaki
-FIP World Heavyweight Champion Roderick Strong & Davey Richards of No Remorse Corps
-Kevin Steen & El Generico
-Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black of The Age Of The Fall
-Austin Aries & Bryan Danielson
-The Vulture Squad of Ruckus & Jigsaw
-Chris Hero & Adam Pearce with Larry Sweeney of Sweet & Sour Inc.
-Delirious & Pelle Primeau
-Tickets now available at ROHwrestling.com.

This one is on us as well as CM Punk vs. Homicide. Also make sure to catch last week's ROH Video Wire to see one of the most episodic sagas in ROH history.

May 14th: After much debate we have decided to give a link to the video of the shocking incident between Jimmy Jacobs and Lacey. This has been released at www.AgeOfTheFall.com and is not anything official from Ring Of Honor. Lacey is not scheduled on any upcoming shows and is gone. In fact, she has disappeared and hasn't even checked her Myspace since May 6th. What happened to her? This video seems to give some vague answers: http://www.rohvideos.com/watch?v=hsV7rkWoqBE

May 14th: The entire Lacey/Jacobs/Aries/Sytch/AOTF saga can be easily followed on www.ROHvideos.com and rohvideos.com. There is an article on the main page of www.ROHwrestling.com listing the videos in chronological order that you can watch for FREE to be up-to-date with what is going on.

May 14th: Jay Briscoe explains why he vacated the ROH World Tag Team Titles and what role his brother played in an article on the main page of ROHwrestling.com.

May 14th: We are still on a hangover from last Saturday's record breaking event at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Celebrities were out in full force as those in the largest crowd in ROH history included James, Jason, Erik, Mike B, Alexis and Joel Anderson from Survivor Micronesia, Boo, Michelle and Stacy from Survivor Fuji, Thunder D from Survivor Pearl Islands, Sonia from the first Survivor, Sam Roberts from Opie & Anthony and Michelle Deighton from America's Top Model. ROH in the Hammerstein Ballroom was the place to be on May 10th and it'll be the place to be again on August 2nd. Thank you for giving us ROH's greatest achievement yet with a successful show in the Hammerstein Ballroom.

She hasn't checked her Myspace???? Gabe, stick to the wrestling. That's what the smarks want from your indie. This AotF angle proves you suck at sports entertainment. You can't really do angles without TV anyway. It's so cheesy.

And those "celebrities" aren't really celebrities. It's embarrassing to even call them that. ROH really looks bad when they try to look bigger than an indie. UGH.
