Hulk Hogan Says Reality Show Partly To Blame For Family Problems
Posted by Ashish on 05.20.2008
Hogans' thirt for fame looks to have cost them...
FOX News reports that Brooke Hogan is having a hard time keeping things together following the incarceration of her brother, Nick Hogan.
"She's suffering the worst of all; she just can't keep it together and has been hit the hardest," said the source, adding that Brooke is "extremely sensitive" and her emotions are spiraling out of control. Brooke's relationship with her father was severely strained after his reported infidelity with her former friend made news in February.
And Hulk Hogan went as far as to blame the family's reality show on all their current problems (he and wife Linda are in the middle of a divorce, Nick is in jail, and Brooke is having her issues).
"I was offered lots of [reality] shows when I was making my career comeback against The Rock, but I kept saying no. But years later, it was my daughter's career and son's racing career that we were thinking about. We saw the Ashlee Simpson show and Jessica Simpson's and Lindsay Lohan on the big screen and we just didn't haven't a vehicle to compete. But I considered it, because this time it was about the Hogan family rather than Hulk Hogan; they all wanted to do it and I tried to warn them about what they were in for. Now look what happened."
Looked really strained when The Hulkster was rubbing suntan lotion all over his daughter by the pool.

yeah, Hulk.
Just keep telling yourself that it's not your fault.

I can't imagine coming of age under that kind of fishbowl, and having my family dynamics magnified for the world to see.
Is Vh-1 entirely to blame for the Hogan/Bollea-family problems? No -- each member made his and her own decisions. But did a magnified spotlight inflate each family member's ego before they were ready to appropriately deal with increased spotlight? I think that's a pretty fair assessment.

When is this delusional old bastard gonna look in the mirror and realize what the words "Personal resposability" mean??

in a shoot interview, sid said the vh1 show was the worst thing hogan could do. in the eyes of fans, he was an immortal superhero with 24 in pythons.
after watching "hogan knows best." he is nothing more than a feeble old man doing everyhting he can to try and hold onto the spotlight.

Because you know... A scripted reality show is really... really... real...

a reality show didn't cheat on your wife, and a reality show sure a hell didn't use poor judgement behind the wheel of a car... Man up!!

Yes Hulk, reality T.V. is the reason you're life's gone to shit.
1) Reality T.V. made it so you couldn't keep your "python" out of your daughters best friend.
2) Reality T.V. is to blame for the fact that your daughter's sining is as bad as your wrestling.
3)It's also to blame for the fact that your son is a n idiot who almost killed his best friend.
Damn you Reality Television... you brought some humility to Hulkamania... brother!

Oh yeash it's all VH-1's fault Hulk can't keep his pecker in his pants. It's all the network's fault that Nick got drunk and decided to pretend he's Jeff Gordon on the freeway.
The only problem with the show is it showed Hulk for exactly what he and his family are. A bunch of spoiled pricks who believe the whole world should bend over for them.
You made your bed Terry go live in it.

Lets see her brother is in jail and her parents are separated (or are they divorced now?). Those are some hard things to take for anyone, whether their in the spotlight or not. These are family problems that are obviously dragging her down. You know of her idiot brother didn't get in that car accident (and at the same time continue eating up her parents money) that would be a huge relief. But thats not the case and she needs to face reality. What Brooke needs to do is keep herself okay. If that means staying away from her family, then thats what she needs to do, but at the same time try to support them.

As the man of the house it is your job to tell your children that they have no talent and that they need not be famous.

Is it fair to say Brooke is runnin' wild?
She's a kid, Hulk; whatcha gonna do?

It's sad to hear about the the misfortunes of the Hulkster and his family. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
I pray that they are able to pull together and make it through this.

omg brook hogan suffered..well by god she didn't suffer and does not have to suffer as much as the other dude does.yeah yeah lay all the blame on t.v and if i am not mistakin didn't the hogans have a Reality show called hogan knows best well he must not knew best enough to explain to his son what could happen with reckless driving a Reality show didn't tell you dad to sleep with your best friend and it didn't tell your brother to go out and drive like a mad man and get him and his friend almost killed.i am sorry brook but i feel no pain for you..for you do not have to go though like that guy does..he is the one that has to suffer while your brother got over easy.

Doesn't this remind you of a parent blaming their messed up kid doing messed up things on TV, music, and video games..
Next Hogan will blame Marilyn Manson and Eminem.
Get over yourself Terry.

Looking back, I really wish Andre beat you at WM III. You haven't done a decent thing since that match. Seriously. In life, or in the ring. Pastamania, anyone?

WAAAAAAAA, cry me a fricking river. You know who has a hard life, anyone serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. Any of those families that have lost a loved one. Anyone living in those countries whose life is completely ruined and live in constant fear of death every day. How about the 70,000 dead in China, and all of their families. Or how about those poor bastards in Myanmar. The Hulkster and his spoiled brat kids and bitchy wife, they can kiss my ass.
Posted By: DC (Guest) on May 20, 2008 at 12:48 PM
So the tv show made him cheat on his wife? And the tv show made his son a completely reckless driver? Hm, I guess Hulk also believes that his tv show caused the Holocaust as well. Bite me, Hulk. Be a man and take responsibility for your own damn actions. Loser.

What's next? You gonna blame 411 Wrestling for coppin you some feel off of Brooke's butt and sweet spot? Dude you seriously need some morals and own up. You're to blame for the fall of hulkamania. You're to blame for you're reality show. You're to blame for your infadelity. You're to blame for your dumbass son thinking he's Mr Nascar. You're to blame for pretty much everything. This isn't 1985 anymore. You are sadly the single biggest egotistical prick in the history of not only wrestling, but apparently the media as well. Some advice, Grow the hell up!!!! Hulk up to your mistakes,(hope you dont mind if I borrow that line Guest3961 its pretty funny and ironic :) and stop your crying and bitching and stop feeling sorry for yourself!

I think that Brooke and Nick should have stayed in school and not been home-schooled by Linda because of this reality show. Nick was what, 14 at the time? He and his sister should have stayed in school with their peers, then Nick wouldn't be "drifting", he'd be doing homework and learning something, same with Brooke. Imagine, the songbird not singing publicly yet? Yep, that would have been the right and "normal" thing to do. Reality shows have done nothing for any of the families who have participated, only to cause a lot of stress and problems. Hulk, welcome to the real world~~ Hulk says "they wanted to do it". Um, who makes the decisions in the family, you and Linda or your kids?

That show was so fake and scripted. It was a huge embarassment for all involved. Anyone's life would be fucked up after being forced to sink so low.
Posted By: LOL (Guest) on May 20, 2008 at 07:35 PM
Didn't Hogan win father of the year award on the show or something?
Posted By: DP (Guest) on May 20, 2008 at 09:47 PM
they should have given that cocky little son of his more than eight months. That kid NEEDS a dose of reality. In fact, they should put him in the general population for a day. That would knock him down to size.

First I understand wanting Brooke to be exposed to the world regarding her music.
No disrepect but Terry, what the hell are you thinking? Nick's racing career. How can you say he had a career when he didn't even have a lic, when your show started? How many times did the cops come to the house regarding Nick's RACING around town? How much money and effort does a teenager need to build a death trap? Education is what Nick should have been focused on.
I don't care how much money you have. No boy should be given a car like that before learning to be responsible, or legal.
Second, after his many close calls with the cops and his failure to do as he was told regarding the car. He should have had it taked away, sold, dimanteled or something.
Boys under 25 are the number one killers on the road.
Hell the beer wasn't his fault or was it?
