Thanks to 411 reader Kevin White Jr. for the following results.

Long time reader, here are the results from Hartford, CT. Great show.

ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT

PRE-SHOW:

Rhett Titus d. Bob Evans – Rhett is just Not Good in my opinion, the gimmick is worn out, and it just annoys me. Basic pre show match with Evans taking the pin after a Frog Splash from Titus.

Ernie “Gillberg” Osiris d. Mitch “Wanna Be Petey Williams” Franklin for The Top of the Class Trophy. Another basic pre show match. Note to Mitch Franklin you are NOT Petey Williams, Petey plays the role perfectly Mitch is a midget and not good at all, this was very bland, the Gillberg chants were excellent, and Osiris even teased the Jackhammer. Osiris with the win.

MAIN SHOW:

Adam Pearce & Chris Hero d. Jigsaw & Ruckus. This was a decent opener, Ruckus and Jigsaw get worked over for most of the match, Hero and Pearce good teamwork and isolate Jigsaw into their corner. Ruckus got in for maybe 2 minutes, hit some flippy stuff, but Hero’s awesome spinning roaring elbow finished off Ruckus. Basic but decent enough. **1/4

Post Match: Kingston jumps the rail and brawls with Jigsaw, hard slaps to the face back and forth, Ruckus separates them and Kingston tells Jigsaw tomorrow in Philly he better be ready, and he yells to Ruckus, who are you with? Heated segment, Kingston was pissed, and left thru the crowd, yelling to get the camera off him.

Kevin Steen & El Generico d. Nigel McGuinness & Go Shiozaki. Very Good match, they went practically the whole 20 minute time limit, Excellent job by both Nigel and Go, they worked Generico’s arm practically the whole match, really enjoyed this match, last five minutes were great back and forth chops and super kicks, Steen and Generico hit the swanton and splash finish and Go was able to break it up finally Steen locked in the sharpshooter and Nigel tapped. ***1/4-***1/2

Post Match: Nigel attacks Steen using the chair to go after his knee, setting his knee in the chair and coming off the top, before too long Go breaks it up and Nigel and Go have a stare down to lead to the title match tomorrow night. Nigel walks out to chants of “You Tapped Out”, while Go helps Steen & Generico back to their feet.

Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black d. Delirious & Pelle Primeau. This was an alright match, nothing special. Jacobs and Black as they should went over here, Pelle still got in too much offense, Black and Delirious have a good back and forth but Black is too much for young Pelle, and finishes him with the Small Package Driver within 10 minutes. When Pelle was in it was bad, when he was out it was good, Black and Jacobs dominate and move on. **

Post Match: Delirious called the Haze out and asked her out, basically he same segment from the Hammerstein, Rhett came out and made the moves to Daizee, this time Daizee bitched him out and left, leave Delirious in the ring, and again the “You Got CockBlocked” chant followed, as Delirious weeps off, pissed and sad at the same time.

Austin Aries & Bryan Danielson d. Roderick Strong & Davey Richards: Damn good match. These guys just work so well together, Strong and Dragon at one point went off on each other like at the end of This Means War, great exchange, just overall great stuff, Tag work was phenomenal, Strong lit Dragon’s chest up all match, another match that went down to the time limit, Strong had Dragon almost tapping in the Strong Hold dragon finally got out of it and hit a few stiff kicks to the head and locked in the triangle choke and Roddy tapped. Great stuff here. ***1/2-***3/4

Post Match: Strong seemed a little pissed off with Richards, Aries and Danielson were pleased with their victory.

Kevin Steen & El Generico d. Chris Hero & Adam Pearce: Generico and Steen were both hurting badly from the last match, selling considerably all match, Hero and Pearce were great in working over the injuries but after Hero had miscommunication and ran into the Briefcase that Hagadorn was holding up, out of no where Generico was able to get the roll up pin in probably a quick 8 minutes or so. **

Post Match: Sweeney is pissed at the loss, blames Dempsey as usual.

Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black d. Austin Aries & Bryan Danielson via DQ. Less then two minutes here, they began brawling during Aries and Danielson’s entrance and the brawl led to a chair getting involved and Aries using it and getting DQ.

Post Match: Jacobs and Black cowardly run out and Aries follows, and the fans chant “Bullshit” and “You got screwed” while Dragon stands in the ring irritated at the finish.

***INTERMISSION***

Shane Hagadorn d. Alex “Sugarfoot” Payne: Moving on.

Post Match: Sweeney and Edwards called out Claudio for their match.

Claudio Castagnoli d. Eddie Edwards: Good match, much better then expected. Edwards got a lot of offense, and he is damn good talent. Quite a few near falls towards the end, Edwards was able to connect with a superkick as well as a few big suplexes to close 2 counts, but in the end after a giant swing, Claudio caught Edwards in the air with the uppercut to get the win. The last few minutes were really good and good back and forth exchanges. ***

Erick Stevens d. The Necro Butcher and Brent Albright: Damn good brawl. Necro’s punches are brutal looking. After a few suplexes and stiff forearms in the ring this one spilled to the outside, Into the Guardrail busting it off and Necro took it rammed it into both guys, at one point Stevens put the guardrail around Necro’s neck and threw him into the ring post, Necro looked beat. Then Stevens and Albright brawled over to right in front of me and Albright tossed Stevens literally into my lap. After some brutal chair shots from all three guys while in the crowd, they rummaged thru the section tearing up plenty of chairs, they made it back into the ring, where they had some great back and forths including Necro nailing a Punch when Stevens came off the top rope. After Albright was sent to the Floor Stevens nailed the doctor bomb on Necro to pick up the win. Really good brawl. ***1/2

Post Match: Sweet N Sour attack Albright, all members are out and they get Albright in the ropes and Pearce begins to whip him with his belt, Albright finally breaks free and Chases them all away. Albright is a beast.

Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black d. Kevin Steen & El Generico to win the ROH World Tag Team Titles: They went after each other right from the start, they brawled out to ring side and Black hit a beautiful powerbomb on Generico into the guard rail, and Steen came right back with a Powerbomb on Black onto the ring apron, it got into the ring, and Black worked over Generico’s arm and got him on the apron, and shoved him off into the guardrail and Generico was taken out. Black and Jacobs double teamed Steen from their and continued to Steen finally got back on offense but Black blocked a Swaton attempt by getting the knees up and Black and Jacobs went back to work, hitting their double tree of woe dropkicks on steen in the corner. They got Steen with the small package driver but he kicked out at 2. Jacobs and Black went for the Super Contra Code Power bomb, but out of the Back came Generico with his arm bandaged up, hit Yakuza kicks on both Jacobs and Black tore the bandage off, then Steen hit the package piledriver on Jacobs but Black stopped the Brain buster, and thru the commotion was able to roll up Generico for the belts. ***3/4

Post Match: The fans are pissed and rightfully so, soda, beer, water popcorn, the ring is cluttered, Jacobs and Black are getting onslaught with garbage, the ring fills up worse then went Hogan joined the NWO in 96′. Jacobs gets on the mic while getting pegged with soda after soda and states the revolution has just begun and that the Age of the Fall are “Unstoppable.!”

Show Thoughts: This was a very good show with some great action, an awesome brawl, three damn good tag matches, and a surprisingly good Edwards/Claudio match, outside of the DQ for AOTF/Aries/Danielson, which made sense, everything clicked just right. The garbage throwing after the title match was great, and made it feel even more special. Really good show, no complaints here, check this out when it hits DVD.
