AHHH! NOOOO! ANYBODY BUT DANIELSON!

Yeah it was awesome to see Cattle Mutilation finish off Cade. Danielson got an initial cheap pop by being billed from Oakland, CA.

SWEET! Hopefully he gets to do more for the company. WWE can market him and Bryan can wrestle the **** matches on a national stage.

Of course, this is jumping the gun, but I mean really, what's the likelyhood of WWE letting an ROH Star beat one of the superstars? Indy talents always lose, and this guy has been on PPVs.

Finish your stuff in ROH Danielson, and please, come to the bigger stage and show the world your talent. You are too good to be in anything but the big league.

No disrespect to ROH, I'm a huge fan as you can tell, but Danielson is better than ROH. Although, I shudder to think how ROH would survive without the American Dragon.

Uh Oh! They only let the other guys go over when they're planning on hiring them.

Looks like ROHbots have another reason to bitch, talent poaching.

Cannot wait to see Daneilson vs Mysterio!

rohbots are gay! danialson and other midjets like him shudnt be wressling yo. that shits gay. ok im done.

::waits to hear Bryan forced to do an awful British accent in order to convey his new character as William Regal jr:: ... He he will obviously feud with Hornswoggle.

Considering Danielson's still under contract to ROH I highly doubt he's going to be appearing in the WWE anytime soon. Besides, ROH guys have worked dark matches for WWE before without actually getting hired. In fact, the WWE has been using indy guys for dark matches since at least the Attitude era and has very rarely hired any of them. Besides, it's not like defeating Lance Cade of all people means much in WWE land.

Posted By: Craig (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 02:56 AM

Dragon's not going anywhere before May 2009 when the ROH contracts expire.

Posted By: nomark (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 02:56 AM

Yes yes guest we all know you're a brainless idiot who wouldn't recognise good wrestling if it came up and suplexed you. You really didn't have to mention it.

Posted By: Craig (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 02:58 AM

Good for him, HBK students collide!

Posted By: Scott (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 03:13 AM

They must be interested in Danielson otherwise I doubt they'd have him go over a WWE guy who they seem ready to push.

Posted By: DS (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 03:13 AM

That shit was nuts got to the arena for raw and dragon/cade was already going on...couldnt belive he won. Didnt give a shit what else happened that night got to c danielson wrestle and FUCKING WIN.

"danialson and other midjets like him shudnt be

YEAH! Snitsky vs. Knox iron man match!

If Danielson got an offer to go to the WWE, making his ROH contract disappear would not be difficult in the slightest. ROH is bush league. Their contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on. Anyway, it isn't notable that he worked the dark match. It IS notable that he went over a WWE contracted talent, though. COuld be nothing, but it's interesting nevertheless.

Danielson will lose 98% of his moveset to be WWE ready and be jobber fodder for Umaga...

Posted By: Lance Dancer (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 03:37 AM

Your foolish to think that a 'contract' would stop Danielson moving over to the E. If they really wanted him, the E could buy out his contract in a heartbeat. The bad thing is, they just don't want a pasty looking bloke who's not on the roids and can actually wrestle.

Posted By: El Spidro (Registered)  on June 10, 2008 at 03:50 AM

Don't worry, Dragon actually likes to wrestle, so I doubt he'll be in the 'E anytime soon ;)

Posted By: KX (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 04:08 AM

This is really interesting. Some things to think about, though:

1) If Danielson weren't interested in the WWE, why would he work the match?

2) If the WWE weren't interested in Danielson, why would they put him over Lance Cade?

3) How awesome would it be to see Bryan Danielson as Ted DiBiase's partner at Night of Champions?

HAHAHA YOUR ROH FANS MAKE ME LAUGH. THE LAST THING WWE NEEDS IS THE MOST OVERRATED WRESTLER IN THE WORLD ON THEIR ROSTER. HE HAS NOOO CHARISMA AND IS A BLAND INDY GUY HELL SNITSKY IS MORE TALENTED.

Posted By: DP (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 06:03 AM

Poaching is a bit harsh an expression (if technically true) Scouting and signing good talent from a decent indie promotion is just sensible business and good for everyone but the big ROH marks. Even ROH will gain some benefit from it because he'll either go on to bigger things and therefore give credibility to his old stomping ground, or he'll fail and instead return to ROH bringing with him some additional national coverage/fans/experience. It would only be really bad for ROH if they lost a lot of their top talent in one go.

I suspect you may see more interest from WWE these days as they don't want to loose up and coming talent to TNA.

"The bad thing is, they just don't want a

Uh, that's not far off a CM Punk description. I would say it's not far from a Regal description, except of course he was on roids. Still he didn't look it, for all we know Danielson is on roids. What's ROH's testing like?

Posted By: Fenris (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 06:28 AM

Someone better have got that on video... even though it is not allowed.

Bryan Danielson you legend.

Posted By: Brad (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 06:53 AM

Actually Lance Cade is in line for a major push as of late and this guy coming unexpectedly and beating Cade with his ROH finisher is really something.

Posted By: knockout (Registered)  on June 10, 2008 at 07:56 AM

This is awesome. I'm a WWE mark while being a smark at the same time, and I know Danielson is one of the most talented in the world. Unless he comes to the WWE, he'll be forgotten forever. His talent shouldn't go to waste. If he comes, I hope they push him because he could draw if booked properly.

Posted By: Guest#7242 (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 07:59 AM

Danielson has already said he wouldn't work for WWE. Where have you people been? It's only a Dark match.

Posted By: Banz (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 08:22 AM

Given that he was under developmental contract for a bit, is it really that big a shock WWE might want Bryan?

"THE LAST THING WWE NEEDS IS THE
MOST OVERRATED WRESTLER IN THE WORLD ON THEIR ROSTER"

I agree but he's married to the bosses daughter so we're probably stuck with him.

Posted By: scott (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 08:44 AM

Well, if WWE signs him they'll have to send him to FCW to learn HHH-Style punch and kick wrestling first.

Posted By: JeremyL (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 09:05 AM

good for him. its always good to try to better yourself. everyone should want to work for the best possible outlet for their talents. its not like roh is going anywhere. maybe if he signs he can you know, quit his day job and wrestle for a living.

Great I think the IWC will officially explode with this brief mentioning. He worked one before you know.

WWE Dark Matches = EPIC FAIL

Posted By: Know Your Rick Role (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 10:59 AM

He could be a valuable asset to the WWE... But I never knew ROH had contracted workers... I was curious to see what he would do in WWE. Oh well!

Posted By: Kyle (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 11:20 AM

"OMG~!!! DANIELSON GOES OVER AND IS GOING TO BE HIRED AND RIP UP HIS ROH CONTACT AND BE A JOB IN THREE WEEKS!"

Dear humanity,

It's a DARK MATCH. People work dark matches ALL THE TIME. I doesn't mean anything on it's own. I'm not saying he's not going to sign (because, frankly, I hope he does) but I'm certainly not going to assume it based on ONE DARK MATCH.

He HAS TILL FIVE, REFEREE!

Posted By: Stanley (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 12:04 PM

I find it morbidly hilarious that people can't bring themselves to act like humans on this thing, it's either "THAT SUXXORS, EPIC FAIL ROFLCOPTOR" or "AT LEAST THIS ISN'T ..... BECAUSE THAT SUXXORS, EPIC FAIL ROFLCOPTOR"

Grow up

IF WWE wanted him that bad, you don't think Vince wouldn't just give ROH some green that they so desperately need?

It's a good think that Dainelson worked a small package finisher into his gimmick a few years back. Considering how weak and stupid CM Punk's finishers have been in WWE, Danielson will be showing off the devastating "Dragon Package" before long!

Posted By: Brad B (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 12:26 PM

Though it's unlikely that'd he would sign with the WWE, isn't it fun to dream?

Especially since WWE would have the money to gain the copyright to Europe's version of "The Final Countdown". Again, near impossible, but how awesome would that be?

Posted By: Guest#4005 (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 12:40 PM

I am laughing at all the little WWE marks. Danielson has 11 months left on his ROH contract. He is not going anywhere. He has worked WWE dark matches before. Big deal.

Posted By: Sid (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 01:05 PM

First Colin Olsen, then Matt Sydal, now Brian Danielson? The Indys are slowly being picked clean

Posted By: natedoggcata (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 01:20 PM

maybe ROH is will trade Danielson for a couple of lessons from WWE about video production, because really they're more in need of the latter at this point.

Not like its a new thing, he has appeared on Velocity before...Cena vs Dragon...

Posted By: piperfan101 (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 01:58 PM

Not jumping to conclusions or anything but if he signs is wwe gonna send him to Florida for "developpement"? Considering he's better then the entire wwe roster with the exception of MAYBE HBK and Y2J how ridiculous would that be?

Posted By: Joe Been Latulippe (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 02:03 PM

DAMN! where did u guys find out that info that dragons contract runs out in may next year? BUT STILL CMON.....BRYAN IN WWE! OH HELL YEAH! IMAGINE HAVING NIGEL,COLT,BRYAN....THE LIST IS ENDLESS! O WAT THE HELL I AM KIDDING MYSELF!

ROH INVASION!!!!

Posted By: Guest#0281 (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 02:56 PM

That dark match was just two of HBK's boys going at it (he did train both of them). I'm sure it was a fun class reunion.

Danielson in WWE would only work if (A) He got an actual character, and (B) Only came out to FINAL COUNTDOWN every show.

Posted By: Ramsey (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 03:12 PM

Maybe AmDrag is Piper's new apprentice. Huh huh think about it.

lol.

The cornerstone of ROH is testing the waters again.

Good luck holding onto the guy this time ROH!

lol

I just had a conspiracy theory:

Realizing that ratings are going down vince is now trying to secure his core fan base the best he can and thus he's going to amp up the quality of action packed high octane wrestling to spice up his product.

Lets not forget that Vince is in fact willing to let smaller technical guys become stars if the fans really love them, Mysterio, Y2J, Hell compared to everyone else at the time Bret Hart and Shawn Micheals, Eddie Gurerro (bad speller sorry). Vince isn't just a big man style guy, he knows that the fans need the occasional spotfest.

Danielson may have said he would never work for WWE. But Ron Killings said he'd never go back to WWE and yet... if Danielson can go to WWE and make some money and not kill his body as much as he has to on the indy scene, why wouldn't he? Even if he doesn't get the epic main event push most of the IWC would demand, he's too talented to be completely buried. If he can better his life, who cares what the IWC thinks?

Posted By: Ryan (Guest)  on June 10, 2008 at 05:00 PM

"Danielson has already said he wouldn't work for WWE... It's only a Dark match."

Um... working a WWE dark match would, by definition, be working for WWE, McFly.

Does this mean Berman will make him wreslter of the week???
