WWE News: 2009 Hall of Fame Ceremony, CM Punk's Push, SD Rating

More Tuesday news...
- The 2009 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place on April 4th at the Toyota Center, the day before WrestleMania XXV. The post-WM RAW will also take place at the Toyota Center the day after WrestleMania.
- CM Punk is featured in WWE.com's graphics for the Great American Bash, which seems to indicate that WWE planned to push him prior to last night's big World Title win.
Punk sucks monkey's balls. Matt Striker should be in the Title hunt, he gets tons of heat, and is probably better than Punk and most of the roster.

Punk and Cena need to team together next week, and Cena needs to continue "being there" for him and putting him over to the fans via interviews... then Punk blindsides Cena with a chair after a victorious tag match and explains that he is already sick of being babied by Cena. While it will be a "heel turn", the fans will actually go crazy.

Its a straight edge thing, although it should be a Pepsi Free logo as regualr Pepsi has caffene, which is a drug (hey if he wont take asprin, he sholdnt drink caffinated beverages). However, the caffene restriction has generally been ignored by a number of "straight edgers", as has the resrictions on casual sex (see CM's trial of banged valets/divas/women wrestlers).
As the song goes: "I dont smoke, I dont drink, I dont f**k, at least I can f**king think". Hey if you are going to be such a devoted proponted of a lifestyle as to get tats of it all over, at least follow the rules.

How do we know Punk actually slept with his girlfriends, besides it mean's no casual sex as in no hooking up at parties/concerts with random people, or banging on the first few dates. He if he slept with his girlfriends it was because those were long term relationships, and possibly he didn't sleep with them. We'll never know Punk's sex life till his autobiography comes out.

Punk is the champ. Now every single story or article pertaining to him is at least fifty percent knocking Punk. Any time somebody gets pushed, they suddenly suck in you idiots minds. no cm punk is straightedge its his real way of life that he has adopted into his in ring gimmick just like matt cross and josh prohibition the guy wont even take aspirin or wont be sedated when he has surgery

As for the Pepsi tat, he got it because the lead singer for Bad Religion had a Coke tattoo because he likes Coke. Punk got a Pepsi tattoo for the same reason.

The problem is not that Punk is the champ it is that hotshotting the title like that generally does not work to get someone over. Ultimate Warrior with the IC belt at Summerslam 88 is the best example of that concept working, but I can't think of too many other success stories. Punk has been losing so much a long build would have been better. It is all about the follow through at this point though. Hard to say whether he will be a failure or success until he has a few PPV's under his belt. The title should have came back with Cena. Edge was a much better choice for a Smackdown champ with the talent they have instead of HHH

I thought CM Punk cashing in money in the bank (in opportunistic Edge-fashion) and winning the World Title on RAW was fresh and cool as hell. I don't know what your gripes are about. CM Punk is very over as a face, is a good wrestler and is dedicated to the profession.
Certain internet fans - cry me a river...The guy hasn't even got his feet wet on RAW after busting his Monday in three segments and you all run to bash him. What a bunch of whiney babies!!!

Well, my personal problem with CM Punk is that I've never liked him in the first place. I've never understood why so many people do. I'm not whinging because he's a new champion or whatever. I'm whinging for the same reason I have for the last few years, I don't see much in him.
