What’s the deal?
Ashley Massaro made the following post on her MYSPACE blog today:
some unfortunate news...this is the hardest decision i have ever had to make
I have some thing to tell you guys and I wanted u 2 be the first 2 hear it...I tried very hard out of the respect I have for her privacy and not wanting her 2 be exposed in any negative light but I have a 7yr old daughter and I just found out 2day that she not well and I can't be on the road with WWE when my own flesh and blood needs me...I am a single parent trying 2 juggle taking care of my child and working my butt off for her and now at this point when she is sick and needs me home I have 2 make the decision 2 bow out of wwe for a while and take care of my daughter...I wish I could do both and that there were more ways 2 get everything done but with the severity of the situation I'm going 2 have 2 ask for an early release for now...I may be back if she gets better...please keep her in your prayers...I love the wwe...I love all the talent that works there and most of all I love all the fans...thanks for always being so supportive...so this is me taking a bow and stepping out of the lime light right now to take care of my family...stick with me guys cause I will be back somewhere some how when this is all over...thanks for all your love and support and I'm sorry 2 be the bearer of bad news...thanks and good night my punks...stick with me ill see you soon

I have a feeling that the WWE would be MORE THAN HAPPY to let her out of her contract. She deserves it just for the (over) use of the number 2 as a word alone.

that sucks for her little girl. if it's legit, let her go so she can tend to her child. If WWE is scared of another "Kurt Angle" release and jump, put a long no-compete clause in(although I doubt they care if Ash jumped to TNA)...

Non-compete clause? Do you think they give a shit if she goes to TNA? I think this is just a way for her to quit before they fire her. Either when its revealed that she WAS a hooker, or when they realize they pay her a ton of money and she aint getting any better in the ring. Christ, they let go of Christy Hemme and she had more upside (and is hotter) than Ashley.

Hope things work out for her and her family, but honestly, she'd probably done everything she could do in WWE...won some money in the Diva Search, posed for Playboy, featured in several Wrestlemanias, tried to be a legit wrestler and to a large degree failed...and now that London and Kendrick are split up and her boyfriend is already back on the jobber train (if he ever really left after going to Raw last year), the writing was probably on the wall for her.
She'll probably be back, but I doubt for WWE.

It's good that she is doing this for her daughter and stuff, since it seems genuine and everything. As for a wrestler though, thank god!!! She moves about as stiff as Khali, so hopefully that gives another opportunity to a hot diva who can actually wrestle.

If her kid is sick, I can't see why she shouldn't at least get some time off to make sure she gets better, and it's not like she'd cause a ratings downfall by being gone. Let her go.
And yes, her grammar sucks, but I've seen worse. Look at Test's superb grasp of the english language, for instance, or even some of the people that leave comments on this site.

Assuming it's legit then I feel sorry for her. But she is acting like she has been on the road for wwe while trying to handle her family. She hasn't been on the road with the wwe since the whole escort story broke. I'm guessing that they won't put her on tv and her contract downside doesnt pay nearly as much as being a hooker.

Well, looks like somebody is trading in their contract for another $25,000 a night job. Trash gets homesick. And as far as the kid, I never knew she had one and boy do I feel bad for that kid growing up to find out her mother was a prostitute/escort/whatever. I once ADORED Ashley, now I could care less about her and its her own fault she's got herself in this situation. Not surprised if its all made up just to get herself out of the mess when they discovered she was in the escorts considering she hasn't been on TV since.

I can't understand why everyone is jumping on Ashley and criticizing her for every little thing that she does. She's only human, just like the rest of us. Everyone makes bad decisions and no one is perfect, and if she did indeed do the escort thing, well that was her bad decision. It's the past, it's done, why keep judging her over it? The important thing is that she's doing the right thing and taking time off for her daughter.
