Complete WWE Smackdown Taping Results (SPOILERS)

All of the action from last night’s taping!

- The set/ring is decorated red, white and blue for July 4th.
- Smackdown kicks off with the VIP Lounge, and MVP has HHH as his guest. HHH and MVP have some back and forth, they show video of Edge losing the World Title and HHH mentions that Edge has everything going for him, since he is marrying a woman of power. Vickie then comes out and announced Edge vs. HHH for the WWE Title at the Great American Bash. HHH makes fun of Vickie more, saying she should get married in Vegas.
- Michelle McCool defeated Victoria, Kelly Kelly, Cherry and Maryse in a "Star on a Pole Match" to determine Natalya's opponent to crown the first ever Smackdown Diva Champion. The title was on display.
- Jesse and Festus defeated Ryder and Hawkins. Festus was dressed as Uncle Sam. After the match Edge attacks Festus with a chair.
- Vickie and Edge have a backstage argument, and Vickie locks him out of the office.
- Jeff Hardy defeated John Morrison
- Umaga defeated Funaki
- In a US Title match, Matt Hardy successfully defended the US Title against Shelton Benjamin, Chavo Guerrero and Ken Kennedy.
- Edge comes back to the ring and promises to reveal some dark secrets about Vickie Guerrero. Vickie comes out and yells at Edge, who then calls off the wedding. Vickie cries hysterically and throws down her wedding ring.
- Dark Match: HHH and The Big Show defeated Edge and Mark Henry. Edge left the ring, and HHH got the pedigree on Henry for the win.
Ha, Kennedy is really moving up in the world now he's back on Smackdown!

RAW pushing new talent, La Famila crumbling(probably a ploy), WWE may finally be taking a turn for the better :)

Damn drama.
What's most important is that the spotmonkey picks a lame victory over the greatness that is John Morrison. Battle of the wellness suspensions. Difference being that one of them is talented and didn't get his due to overwhelming stupidity.

Gotta love the fresh feel that both shows have right now, so happy that Edge, Vicky is over, lets hope we now see more wrestling on the show now.

Good to see Kennedy still losing. And to someone who isn't even on the smackdown roster, very nice indeed. Hope this continues until Vince finally sees sense and gets rid of the worlds most overated wrestler.

I really hope WWE isn't stealing from TNA and having La Familia breakdown just to surprise and confuse everyone when Vickie Helps edge cheat.
You know for Henchmen being trained by a multi Time Tag Champ, the Edgeheads cannot seem to win a match. What kind of guy doesn't even train his protgees!

So even though Matt Hardy was drafted to ECW and the US title is now considered a part of that brand he's still defending it on Smackdown? And what is the point of having Chavo on ECW? He's on Smackdown so much more! ECW and Smackdown should really just brand back together.

Wow, retard central here. The SD/ECW talent exchange never ended. So what if Kennedy lost a Fatal 4 Way, would you of prefered Matt losing the US title on Smackdown? No, you would of all fucking bitched about it. If Morrison beat Jeff everyone would go "so much for Jeff Hardy's push". If Ryder and Hawkins won, everyone would freak out going "why let JOBBERS win?" The WWE title hasn't SPINNED since freaking OCTOBER, so I'm pretty sure it's not a spinner. I just find it pretty sad how pretty much everyone bitches and cries on here because the WWE won't do exactly what you want. Why don't all of you shut up and enjoy your free fucking entertainment the WWE gives you 5 hours a week

too many russo gimmick matches - four way, pole, weddings, etc. title giveaways not at the ppv. This is terrible - oh wait there copying TNA! Get rid of the crative staff & quit copying what we can't stand!!!!!!! HA!HA!

I'm pretty sure that, or at least hope that, HHH's comments toward Edge about marrying a woman in power and getting married in Vegas are self-referential and self-deprecating forms of humor. Otherwise, it's just fodder for fans on the internet to trash HHH more.

Difference between Jeff and Morrison:
Morrison's spots are entertaining. He has one of the best movesets in the WWE. Corkscrew split-legged moonsaults FTW! STO backbreaker into a corkscrew neckbreaker FTW!
Jeff, on the other hand, is stuck in the late 90's when his shit was still amusing. Nowadays, he does just as much "high-flying" as Kane. I mean, they both have big top-rope moves that are really easy to do (but then again, rolling like Kane does after his flying lariat takes some skill), they both have weak dropkicks, and they both do leg-feed enziguiris (except I think Jeff's might be a mule kick? It's sloppy, I know that much). So all Jeff has on big ol' boring 300+ pound Kane in the flying department is Whisper in the Wind and some occasional planchas.
