To me if TNA is ever going to really make it they have to sell tickets. PPV and TV ratings are nice as are internet sales, but to be viable they have to have revenue from ticket sales and post event merchandise. My thought is they should look at cities that had great non-WWE wrestling tradition and court them. Memphis, Louisville, Atlanta, Charlotte and the North Carolina area, Minneapolis, Dallas etc. all had/have traditional fans who were not necessarily WWE fans. Throw in Houston with Booker T's school, Detroit, some Florida cities, and Nashville/Knoxville and maybe Pittsburgh for Angle's sake & suddenly there is a semi-reliable revenue stream and set of potentially loyal fans. Success would mean that the advertising and product connected with the audience so it would not be a sure thing, but to me any non-WWE organization that wants to be a viable #2 has to cultivate a fanbase among groups who feel left out since various promotions folded. Can or will TNA do this? Doubts seem reasonable at this point, but it is nice to see them trying to develop some house show revenue. Maybe Big 12 country is the right place for TNA to start reaching out to new fans.

Unfortunatly when TNA was in Austin last year I talked to JB and he said they would come back in the summer. I guess they aren't. That's too bad, if you haven't gone to a TNA house show, you need to go. You won't be disappointed!

Maybe they'll make it further west on the next trip. Some of us in Denver are waiting for them to get here.

I live in Dallas and will be at the House of Blues house show, but I just hope tickets aint gonna be so high for it. I wish TNA would book a smaller place (Moody, Dallas Convention Center Theater)

Tough schedule for the crew though. Thursday- ESTERO, FL
Friday- Dallas, Texas
Saturday- Lawton, OK
Sunday- MUSKOGEE, OK
Monday- Orlando (Tv taping)
Tuesday_ Orlando (Tv taping)
Wednesday-Off
Thursday-Saturday- 3 shows in Kansas.
At least the least 3 shows are all in the same state. But starting off with 3 shows in 3 days in 3 different states is pretty harsh.

Dan Martin...I think TNA's doing a good job of what ur talkin about. They manage to sell a lot of merchandise and do the meet and greet thing at houseshows. In time, we will see TNA start to cultivate followings in those lost markets. At this point, they're not only still branching out, but they're also making their second trips to a lot of places. Texas is seeing TNA for a second time as well as Kansas i believe. As time moves on, we'll see

The drawback to TNA running at the House of Blues in Dallas is that the stage seats are not reserved. I paid extra thinking I was getting a front row ringside seat. The tickets show a seat number and row A. But when you get there, stage seats are first come first served.
I purchased seats for myself and my dad, the guy who turned me onto wrestling years ago, imagine my disappointment when we had to sit at the back because we were unaware.

That is a good thing. I think regardless of promotion that many fans in the lost markets are still fertile ground for doing business. It does not even have to be the hub of the old promotion like Memphis a place such as Evansville, IN could be a reliable stop to make some money and build an audience.

And still nothing for Pittsburgh. Way to go TNA. We appreciate it. Hey Angle, can't you do something to help us out? Ya know, since you live here and all.
