He probably shouldn't use that move for bigger guys (or maybe just not for guys who suck at selling). Too much weight coming down on his knee. Bring back the Anaconda Vice.

That GTS did look sick.. like Punk had to bring his leg up higher, and accidentally it snitsky kind of hard. Punk should break out the Anaconda Vice to deal with his larger opponents.

I thought something looked off when he hit that GTS. I just wrote it off as Snitsky's attempt to sell it. You could see Punk put extra effort into the knee-lift though to make it look like it actually connected more. Apparently he did TOO good of a job.

Snitsky's nose was bleeding before Punk hit the GTS. I think he may have broken his nose earlier in the match and this is WWE leaking a story to push the move and punk.

I'm with joey dreading another neckbreaker finisher replacing the GTS. the only cool neckbreakers are Paul Burchill's 'Twisted Sister' (at least it looked cool when he hit it on Kofi, but that might have been camera work) and John Morrison's Corkscrew neckbreaker. everyone elses looks the same.
BTW the Twist of Fate and RKO are not neckbreakers they are cutters.

Snitsky is a terrible wrestler. He's been borderline passable up until now but he sold terribly for Punk, was generally stiff and sandbagged him on the GTS.
Punk is 220lbs, no small man, with help he'd be able to hold anyone up easily...hell, JBL was hoisted easily enough last week.
Punk had an awesome reaction at the start of the show and Snitsky helped kill the crowd during his match.

Actually that was a different song entirely. The song you're referring to was called Accross the Nation and it was performed by The Union Underground. It was the Raw theme for a while though.

I know I will get killed for saying this, but I kinda like Snitsky. Just needs new tights. I think they realllly missed the boat with the Tomko/Snitsky team a couple yrs ago.
Was it just me or was Snitsky looking a bit chubby last night though?
The GTS did look stiff and when CM was pinning Geney, you could see Gene's lips moving, probably telling him what was up.

To all the folks saying CM Punk's too small to use the GTS on bigger people: When I was in high school, I was 5'10" and 155 lbs, and I could squat over 450 lbs. Even nowadays, I'm about 15 lbs heavier, and don't workout anywhere near as much as back then, and I can pick up a 220 lb guy in a fireman's carry easily. I'm certain that a guy Punk's size, who does work out from time to time, could easily pick up a 300 lb guy on his shoulders.

Punk had to bring the knee up because the no sell mf'r couldn't legitimize it.
I would LOVE to see him bring back the Anaconda Vice, but think it would have been awkward against Snitz also. Anything is awkward against him because he is a talentless, boring, nobody care about me, peice of trash.

I was told some time ago that the E doesn't like to put a submission finish over unless you're a top star. Like Lance Storm stopped using the Single Leg Crab and started using the lame superkick

Hey, Moron (with all due respect) - the Anaconda Vise is a modified Kimura, or an overhead armbar from the half guard.
I figure Punk's establishing GTS as his more dynamic finisher. Most of the wrestlers with submission finishers also have high impact finishers.
Kurt Angle has the Angle Lock and the Angle Slam.
Cena has the STFU and FU.

Actually it was also known as the Million Dollar Dream when Ted DiBiase and his young protege the Ringmaster were around.
The Anaconda Vise has the additional leg-scissors of the body along with the hold, if I remember correctly. He hasn't busted it out since you-know-who did you-know-what and submission/choke holds were banned for a while. But now that HHH and HBK are allowed to do the crossface (sans Crippler) he should bring it back.
And yes, it WAS Snitsky's fault. He's a sandbagging motherf***er. HHH would have looked much better on Punk's shoulders and wouldn't have gotten hurt.
Wrestling is scripted people. The best wrestlers are the ones who know how to take and sell a move by their opponent/partner. I hate to say this because I know internet fanboys will flame me, but HHH is awesome. He always makes his opponents' offense look believeable and he can be picked up and slammed or take a finisher with anybody. Snitsky sandbagged Punk so bad it looked like Punk did that GTS all by himself and picked up his knee higher because he thought Snitsky would just stand up straight, which he nearly did. Lucky for Punk he didn't get hurt on that move. Snitsky didn't help Punk pick him up and he earned his broken nose. I bet he wrestles with 2 black eyes next week.
