Thursday news update!
The Mike Levy incident from a few weeks ago is now being investigated by police. The incident saw North Carolina independent wrestler Mike Levy get beaten up badly by wrestlers Devon Moore, Tank, Ian Rotten, and Rotten's son after Levy following his match with Mickie Knuckles at an IWA show. The reason for the beatdown was apparently because Levy left a knot on Mickie Knuckles' face during their match. Ian Rotten, the promoter of IWA, later said that Levy got his ass kicked for the right reasons and claimed that Levy was fine afterwards and happy he could still be part of IWA. Once press attention started coming in, Rotten said the beatdown was an angle and part of the show. The officer investigating the situation says he isn't so sure the beatdown was part of the show. I'm glad the police are investigating this. There have been reports that Levy is possibly mentally-challenged and may not have known what he was getting himself into.
Either way, he should not have been allowed into that ring because he could have seriously hurt himself or Mickie. Even if all of this is a work, CPS should be called in to investigate why Rotten's pre-teen son was taking shots at Levy with a stick. If this was all a work then his son would not have been involved or would not have needed to ask his dad for permission (on camera) to beat Levy with the stick.
Ian has some 'splainin to do.

Hmmm... I tend to agree somewhat with the officer after seeing numerous matches of Knuckles in IWA, even she being part of KODM tournaments where she bled copiously in several battles.

I watched the Levy incident video last night and it was sick...I'm surprised is still breathing after those nasty and mean NASTY curb stomps onto the ladder. Also highlights how fucking dumb and backwards the rednecks at IWA are.

As much as I dislike Rotten, that video is outrageous. Levy is still clearly selling like a champ, even though that ladder stomp probably hurt like hell. And I guess this report was made after Mickie's broken leg? That can hardly be seen as a "minor" injury.

Levy is an idiot, but those "wrestlers" who beat on him are a bunch of white trash pussies. I would love to see them thrown in jail for that. I wouldnt mind kicking their asses myself, but I know they wont fight one on one.
I also think its funny how that fat bitch Mickie Knuckles was fine with that being all over the internet, but cried when the video of her fat ass snapping her leg was online. I feel better about laughing so hard when I saw her leg break though:D

Levy actually botched a good lot of moves against Mickie, including a very stiff headbutt. A lot of them. You can hear her getting pissed about it. He was supposed to be squashed, and decided he wanted to get in offense when not instructed to, and no-sell a lot of moves.
The fucking brain donor deserved everything he got. He wasn't in shape to wrestle, and he was actually trained. Not well, mind you, but trained nonetheless. He shouldn't have shot on Mickie, and he wouldn't have gotten his ass kicked. You do not disrespect women in the south with that bullshit. People get the fuck beat out of them for hitting their wives,let alone someone as close to Ian Rotten as Mickie Knuckles is, so those of you spouting off the "redneck" jokes should just silence yourselves about a subculture you know nothing about.
Put this jackass in the ring with the Necro Butcher and let HIM shoot on him. That fat fuck deserves it for that cheap attempt to get himself over.

Mickie clearly shot on Levy - so if he started it by shooting on her, she clearly did return the favor with interest. There was no need whatsoever for the beatdown afterwards. I think the whole thing was just Rotten and his friends trying to show what a "hardcore" bunch they really are.
Levy had no business getting booked, period. Rotten should get his ass locked up for conspiracy to commit assault or whatever.

I love how everyone is crying about what happened to Levy like its something unheard of. He got off lucky. In the 1970s it would have been a lot worse. I'm no Ian Rotten fan, but I understand.

I thought Ashley was a worthless pile of garbage before, but after seeing her "2000s style" attempts at conveying a message, I think even less of her. Webonics needs to go away now.

The whole Mike Levy situation is "two wrongs don't make a right", only in this case, it's THREE wrongs don't make a right.
1. Ian should have never booked him to start with.
2. Levy shouldn't have just taken the squash and not tried to put himself over like he did.
3. The post-match beatdown shouldn't have happened as bad as it did.
Everyone was in the wrong really. But, it all goes back to things such as the Mass Transit incident in the old ECW and the time Ian Rotten beat the holy hell out of Peter B. Beautiful at KOTDM 2001. It doesn't exactly make these beatdowns right by saying it, but these goofs should know what they're getting themselves into before trying to find an easy way to get into the wrestling business by getting their asses kicked by people like Ian Rotten and New Jack.
Actually, if you watch the DVD of the whole Mike Levy incident, sure he took a hellatious beating and was probably hurting for days afterwards, but in the backstage footage, he's not any more cut up then anyone else that was in the KOTDM tournament and I've even heard some reports that he was seen laughing about it all later that day.
