TNA News: More On Tomko, Nash Problems, Angle Injured
Posted by Ashish on 07.31.2008

- As reported yesterday, Tomko is done with TNA. His problems with the company started when he opted to go to Japan for the Inoki Genome Federation instead of attending a TNA Fan Festival. Tomko had been trying to balance commitments in Japan and TNA which caused conflicts. This left him in the doghouse with TNA management.

SPOILER WARNING!

- Kevin Nash also was upset with TNA management over the finish to a Gauntlet match he was involved in at the Impact taping and walked out of the show. Management booked another Gauntlet match and he was to get eliminated during the commercial break, which upset him. But because he is set to headline an upcoming PPV against Samoa Joe, he has leverage and is thus remaining with the promotion.

- Kurt Angle was injured in said Gauntlet match after he took a bad hardway shot with the ladder and was bleeding profusely, to the point it alarmed everyone.

END OF SPOILER WARNING

more and more bad news for tna... they will never top wwe... especally while hhh is healthy... he is the top wrestler ever... dose tna have a wrestler with even halve the talent of hhh... probly not...

Can Kurt ever not get injured?

Posted By: The Diceman (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 01:54 PM

Nash... The ever professional veteran is at it again...

Posted By: Julio Moreno (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 02:00 PM

At this point it would just be easier to report when Kurt Angle isn't injured

Posted By: Guest#2472 (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 02:04 PM

Indy feds sound more organized than this. If anyone from TNA is ever wondering why most fans think they are a joke, this report says it all.

Urgh !! Nash headlining a PPV with Joe. That should be a horrible match. It'll be even worse if they give him the damn title which wouldn't be a surprise if they did considering how stupid they are and they gave the title to Sting two years in a row.

Posted By: Mike (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 02:08 PM

Wow, Angle bled 'hardway'? J. Mercury style? Cause if it ain't J. Mercury style, it ain't 'profuse' enough.

Hope he recovers and isn't too seriously hurt.

One day TNA really will cross the line when Kurt dies in the ring.

Posted By: Jeremy (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 02:21 PM

Three more perfect examples of why this company is so ass backwards it's ridiculous.

-Is Tomko being used or pushed? No? Then who the hell in TNA cares if he wrestles in Japan if he's not being used?

-Kevin Nash has leverage and is unhappy? Yet he's still in a main event? Odd; so was Scott Hall and he no-showed the PPV and they sure as hell wrote him out of it, didn't they?

-Kurt Angle is still wrestling? Wasn't he injured and supposedly told to 'take time off' several weeks ago?

Does TNA's brass have three whole brain cells between them, combined? God these people are stupid.

Posted By: Nick (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 02:22 PM

Nash is being a whinybutt and Angle's hurt. Business as usual in TNA.

Does anybody else think that Angle is purposely getting injured for the meds?

Posted By: the dude (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 02:28 PM

God, Kurt's broken down so bad, maybe he should consider hanging it up.

Posted By: William (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 02:31 PM

Hey Kurt, please keep telling yourself that the WWE was working you into ground and that you are physically and mentally better off being in TNA. BTW, how's your neck and arm?

Posted By: guest (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 02:33 PM

WOW He's upset because he was to be eliminated during a commercial break. Grown ass man acting like a little child over something so petite. Hogan must have really rubbed off on him. I just hope he doesn't use that leverage to win the title

Posted By: Guest#4166 (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 02:51 PM

Nash has to get eliminated during commercial breaks. They never know if he's going to die taking (or doing) a move, so the less TV time the better.

I like TNA, but they need to get rid of the old guys that can't wrestle the TNA fast-paced style.

Kurt's always injured, to the point that it's not a story anymore. Tell me when he decides to do the smart thing and take a break and then it's news.

Posted By: Guest#2898 (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 03:08 PM

f kevin nash. He sucks, He's a pain to deal with, ....its time for him to go...AGAIN

Posted By: Joe (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 03:10 PM

Angle got hurt again? Wow he seriously needs to consider just retiring from the wrestling aspect. Stay on as a manager or whatever, but man enough is enough. Too bad he doesn't appear to have much common sense.

How about you just report to when Angle is NOT injured in some way? Would make it a lot easier for everyone.

Posted By: Guest#7494 (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 03:15 PM

I have the feeling that Angle will die soon if he does not take some time off...

Posted By: Batman (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 03:16 PM

could be man

Posted By: Jsinn (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 03:25 PM

I can understand why he'd be upset at getting eliminated during a commercial break. That's what the lower midcarders (X Division) are for!

Seriously though, I hope Tomko gets some good gigs in Japan. He's proven to be a pretty big success over there and his in-ring abilities can only get better.

Posted By: m8 (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 03:37 PM

"Angle Injured"

That stopped being a big headline a long time ago. It's gotten to the point that if Angle's active, it's just a matter of days before he's hurt again. It's a shame, but the guy is a liability to himself and should have quit long ago....

It's a shame his ego won't let him retire from active wrestling, become a manager or spokesperson, and only wrestle once every year or so.

As it is, it's unfortunately just a matter of time before he's paralyzed, a vegetable, or ends up killing himself... all before a live audience.

TNA shouldn't be allowing the commercial breaks to occur during critical parts of matches anyway. How does WWE manage to make sure nothing important happens during a break, when in TNA the whole match happens during the break. TNA: We Are Wre--returning after a short break.

Posted By: Will (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 04:16 PM

so angle bled alot how the fuk is that injured when like last week or a few weeks ago angle hurt his neck in korea angle blew his knee i think bleeding a lot would make the bastard happy caseu on of his appendages is blown or broken worse

Posted By: mazzacre (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 04:18 PM

When is TNA finally gonna grow some sack and tell "Big Lazy" Kevin Nash to take his ball and go home?

are u kidding me?, wwe has just as many commercial breaks between critical parts of matches as tna does. Man, when tna has problems people blast them to death on this website. Granted, i don't like the whole Kevin Nash situation either but man, i'll put my money on joe vs nash over khali vs hhh.

Posted By: cj (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 05:10 PM

At this point, it's TNA's own fault if they get screwed by Nash. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 14 times...

Posted By: WireTap (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 05:27 PM

Wasnt it Kevin Nash that talked in 96 about the "young lions wanting more than just a nibble on the carcass"?

Guess opinions change when the lion starts loosing his teeth.

Posted By: CM Wolf (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 05:35 PM

Ya but you do understand that everything that Nash had a problem with totally made sense. You have a guy headlining a ppv and you have him eliminated off camera. Come on TNA it's not that hard to figure out

Posted By: Kip (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:01 PM

Angle injured.. why is this headline on every single week? I thought TNA was going to take care of the guy and make sure he didn't work hurt.. oh, right, right of course. Probably a VINCE RUSSO SWERVE in that too!

Nash should just walk out to WWE. At least then he can join HHH in burying the roster when he isn't tearing quads, or for that matter when HHH isn't either.

Posted By: Black Scorpion (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:11 PM

Wow. Now what could Kurt Angle be doing that would cause such abnormally profuse bleeding, I wonder...?

Posted By: BJC (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:20 PM

Isn't hearing Angle is hurt, kind of like someone telling you that the sky is blue.

I like Kevin Nash and all, but he really is there to push the new guys not headline. He's a little old and broken to carry the torch right? But I do agree. I think it would serve no purpose to job him out during a commercial break. That doesn't really help out the viewers at home add credibility to whomever beats him

Posted By: bevans2016 (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:21 PM

Sheesh.

Right, i'm not a TNA fanboy by any means. Let's get that out of the way first.

Angle's last neck injury was through no fault of his own, much like thie one sounds. Tell him to hang up the boots all you want, but this wasn't his own fault, merely accident.

And Nash, christ. If, say, John Cena was penciled in to headline the Unforgiven PPV against Punk, Do you think he would be happy that they had him eliminated during the commercial break of Raw in a meaningless match?

Nowt wrong with those IMO.

Posted By: Brett (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:22 PM

I guess they are afraid Nash might get injured and cry like a baby just like he did before WWE fired him.

He thinks he deserves complete control of his character and booking.

Posted By: RedVexx (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:24 PM

Im confused? Management booked TWO gauntlet matches? god damnit TNA

Posted By: natedoggcata (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:36 PM

Kevin Nash isn't the kind of wrestler who gets eliminated over commercail breaks, he's a near seven footer, and a big name veteran. Getting rid of him should be a highlight of a battle royale.

Posted By: Davis (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:36 PM

And they say WCW was messed up......

Posted By: BischoffRulz (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:46 PM

Only in TNA will you read the statements
"Angle Injured...
In a gauntlet match...
From the ladder"
WTF?!
I was originally going to post Angle injured? This isn't news, but seriously, what the fuck TNA? When has a gauntlet match involved FUCKING LADDERS?!

Posted By: SirCrudNoodles (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:56 PM

nash didnt say he want to win but come on lose in the commercial break nash deserves better than thar

Posted By: fuck tna (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 06:58 PM

I hope Nash leaves TNA and goes to WWE. TNA doesn't need that washup hasbeen anyways. Kurt Angle should take it easy on himself before he ends up injured really badly. Also ladders in a gaunlet match is new and people will like it. Let's see WWE come up with something like that.

Posted By: Argyle (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 08:18 PM

WTF, I really really hope Kurt will NOT kill or cripple himself one day....

Posted By: Guest#6464 (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 08:35 PM

i agree Nash deserves betta than to get eliminate durin break, its not like he wanted to go over. Its sad wen past wrestlers get in the ring yrs latah wantin to main event but Nash is a exception, look at the guy ,if it wasnt cuz he gray i wud say he still looks and carry himself like he did in 98

Posted By: Pheo (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 09:20 PM

Crossing the Line of insanity are we?

Jesus christ this promotion is a joke

Kurt injured? And now for more news, the housing market is down and unemployment continues to rise.

Posted By: tHE cOACH (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 10:13 PM

The Gauntlet was a weapons match. Pretty much a Gauntlet with a bunch of weapons. Have no idea why! But this is TNA.

Posted By: Spike (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 11:02 PM

Anyone else notice lately that every other news post on any site involves the phrase "Angle injured"? Sad.

Posted By: FatKane (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 11:18 PM

oh please wwe marks ROTFL this is too much you're true joke of a company just built up a show on a gm that ended up being mike adamle no one is a bigger joke then WWE. Wow Kurt Angle got busted open unintentionally big freaking deal hes going to be fine. Tomko didn't stand the test of time and wasn't going to be another Batista not in a million years. He was an ok talent but was no star. TNA should get rid of Nash who cares hes slated to be in a main event write him out of it.

Posted By: LMAO (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 11:29 PM

by the way Tomko being asked to attend a fan fest that led into a ppv is not asking too much good TNA should get rid of him if his priorities are more with Japan anyways not saying thats a bad thing but if he feels he should be in Japan more then more power to him go there and do that the rest of his career WWE didn't care and TNA sure won't.

Posted By: LMAO (Guest)  on July 31, 2008 at 11:31 PM

R u guys semi retarded?

Why would u talk shit about Kurt Angle when it was most likely a accidental spot where he took a shot with a ladder and got busted open!?

Im sure he said Gee i hope i get hit in the head with a ladder so i can get hurt and bleed all over the place

Grow up tards Angle is a FN beast he has busted his ass and hurt his body for doing what he loves and entertaning you ass clowns

Get over yourselfs fan boys

OMFG!

Kurt Angle bleeds profusely from a hardway shot to the face w/ a ladder, and the IWC is ready to shit out a kidney and mark the end of Kurt's career. The red scare on Kurt Angle's health is in full effect as usual. Every ordinary injury that happens to Kurt gets blown way out of proportion as usual. U kno, it was only about a month ago that Batista and Edge's heads collided violently in the middle of the ring causing Batista to bleed profusely. Similarly, this occurance was unplanned. But just because Kurt has a history and Batista doesn't, no one cares that Batista went full force head on into another person. All we care about is putting Kurt Angle's health under a microscope and disecting every muscle cramp he gets. Every single time something normal as happens to Kurt i.e. Kurt appeared a little banged up after his match with Joe at LockDown, we get about boatload of comments eluding to Kurt's death.

Nash is a big baby so what if you're losing a freaking gaunglet match you're facing the man of the promotion in a few months chill out dude. and kurt as much i adore your wrestling career please hang it up

"more and more bad news for tna... they will never top wwe... especally while hhh is healthy... he is the top wrestler ever... dose tna have a wrestler with even halve the talent of hhh... probly not..."

Are you foreign? I mean, is English your first language? Just curious.

Ignoring all the sheep hating on Nash because they think its the thing to do, the guy had a point. If TNA is planning on him being a main event challenger to Joe on PPV then he shouldn't be an after thought on tv in the weeks building to that match. Argue the merits of Nash headlining at this stage in his career all you want but, if TNA have made that decision, then they should be doing what they can to keep Nash's profile high in preparation.

Odds on an "Angle injured" item on this site in a given week = EVENS

Posted By: Dr Domino (Guest)  on August 01, 2008 at 07:41 AM

i was pissed when Jackie didn't get her entrance the other week, so i won't complain about Nash (or anybody else) bitching because of getting eliminated during the break.

and Kurt Angle...

is laughing his ass off at the pussies, who think bleeding equals death.

you know you all bitch about Nash, but if he is headlining the PPV, and was eliminated during a fucking commercial break, all you would be bitching about it not making sense.
