WWE News: Shane McMahon in Mexico, Carlito’s Future, Chris Harris and More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 08.19.2008

- Shane McMahon was in Mexico last week and had meetings with the Televisa Network. Televisa is the leading television network in the country and broadcasts both CMLL and AAA.

- Carlito's future with the company is in doubt again. He hasn't been used on TV since the draft, but has continued to work on the road with a new look. He has discussed a release from the company with friends once again. If he gets released he could go back to Puerto Rico and work the top program with Ray Gonzalez, but the fact is that business is down in Puerto Rico. When he last wanted a release he had discussed working with AAA or the NWE. He has support in TNA since Dutch Mantel works there, and TNA wants to begin expanding their Hispanic fan base.

- Prior to his release, Chris Harris had some heat backstage due to how, "he carried himself." Many felt he acted like he had accomplished something in wrestling, but since it wasn't with WWE, that was considered a strike against him. Many people in TNA were said to be happy when Harris got released, since he left for supposed "greener pastures."

- Dos Caras Jr. and El Sicodelico Jr. have not officially signed with WWE at this time, but as of right now it is considered a done deal that they will be working for the company.

- Phil Shatter, a 6-foot 3-inch, 275lb Independent worker with a good physique has signed a developmental contract with WWE. He will be headed to FCW in the next couple of weeks

This is seriously like the 6th time this year Carlito has said he wanted a release. When is Vince gonna realize he doesn't draw, doesn't bring in a dime, and can't work? Release the bastard already.

Chris Harris does seem like an arrogant prick though. It's a shame too. He seemed like he had a lot of potential in that 1 match he had. You know they've got big plans for someone who goes over Armando, he's as big as The Rock for Christ's sake. [sarcasm for those who can't tell]

you're starting to get very boring with the whole "carlito's future is in doubt, no it isn't, yes it is, no etc...

Wow what a name, Phil Shatter.

He may well be called Bob Crapper, Steve Dumper, Jim Pooper, etc. etc.

Chris Harris just reminded me of Hugh Morris while he was in the WWE but less impressive. Atleast he had some color on his tights and did a moonsault rather than the generic newbee crossbody Harris showed up with.
And from the looks of him, Harris did spend some time in a pasture just grazing before he made it on TV.

I think Carlito can work - just not the WWE style. He is unable or unwilling to go out there and punch/kick/resthold the 5 minutes up to the finish.

Vince is afraid he'll go to TNA and show what he can really do. But TNA will blow it like they always do.

This is actually probably the 6th time this that 411mania has posted the same news items on Carlito and Harris. Must be something they do to pad things out on a slow day.

How could having "TNA reject" on my resume not lead to greatness?

Posted By: Chris Harris (Guest)  on August 19, 2008 at 12:38 PM

I ran into Chris and SoCal Val in the ticket line at a Reds game this summer about two weeks before "Braden Walker" debuted in ECW. I have no idea how the guy acts at work, but I was extremely impressed at how gracious and friendly he was towards me.

If you've seen Shatter do his thing in an NWA Anarchy ring, you may take back some of those cracks. Dude can put it down.
