Note on who will be recognized as Champion...
- According to WWE.com, the title can change hands many times during the Championship Scramble but only the final winner of the match will be recognized as the new champion, not all the people who may "win" the title during the scramble itself.

good news... i was worryed that they would give some one alot of championships that did not desrve it... i was afrayd that they would give cm suck (cmpunk) the belt ten times or somethin and maybe he would break triple hhhs record... that would just be completly not cool and i no for sure myself and lots of others would rite letters to mr mcman if that happend... im sure triple hhh would be alrite with it caus hes a greater good firs type of guy but i no everyone else would be relly mad... could you imagine if a greasy haird jerk like cm suck(cmpunk) ended the match with more titles than triple hhh??? one it would not be beleveable caus he is relly small and not a good wrestler and two im sure everyone would be mad... god wwe dont do this... if your gonna give cm suck(cm punk) mor titles than triple hhh whos next??? jeff hardy... god dont do that wwe... jeff hardy is even greasyer than cm suck(cm punk)... hopfully the match will end with ether john cena winning or with a triple hhh intereferance and mabye he could take the belt or something... now that is a good storyline... just my two scents guys... peace...

Is going to be you have to pin the belt holder like the old 24/7 Hardcore title matches or pin anybody? At this stage I see CM Punk getting pinned in the first few minutes & then getting the winning pin at the end of the match to retain the title. The only way I would support this type of match is if the made it a Iron Man match so people would have to work the entire match & mid-match pins would actuality count for something

I believe with the hardcore match you could only pin the champ, this match you may pin anyone, and I though Adamle made it clear on Raw that the final winner will be the only one officialy recognized as a champ. I did not need the clarification.

The *concept* actually sounds intriguing. I just hope they can pull it off. The line-up is amazing, but 20 minutes sounds REALLY short for a 5-man match. (I know WWE rarely gives these multi-man bouts more than that, but I think that's a mistake) In any case, I want Punk to finally shine here. Personally, I would go against all expectations and allow him to score the ONLY pin in the match as the time limit expires. Book it!
IF they do this right and give the inevitable Jericho/HBK blow-off enough time and a good stipulation, "Unforgiven" could be a great show.
(In a weird way, I'm almost hoping it'll suck. I've already decided to get ONS, WM & SummerSlam on DVD, maybe even the Rumble. That's more events than I got in 06 and 07 combined, and my wallet is not liking it. :P)

Would be a better match if they replaced JBL and Roidtista with Jericho and Orton (I'm still under the assumption his second injury was a work)
Nonetheless, it looks like a new and fresh idea. It's not like it's some overly complicated reverse battle royal cage ladder on a pole match to determine the #1 Contender to one of the tag team titles or something like that. I don't know why people are judging it so harshly, looking at it from an objective stance it seems pretty normal compared to some gimmick matches.
Plus there are numerous booking possibilities that could come from this. They could (and should) let Punk not get pinned once and have him hold the belt the full 20 minutes, making him a strong champion or they could do what I'm thinking they'll most likely do and have someone roll Punk up in the first 10 seconds and switch the title a bunch of times between JBL, Cena, and Juicedtista before Punk suddenly getting a surprise pin on JBL.
Hell, maybe next week Jericho will ask Adamle to put him in the match since he pinned Punk yesterday and make it better (The mere presence of Jericho inspires greatness)

I hope they don't book it like the ending of the WM2000 Hardcore Championship match. While the "try to pin, but clock run out" spot is a really exciting finish, the fact is that it can be botched royally like in that match. I really don't want to happen.
They should at least have contingency plans for everyone (ie. storylines for every participant) if such a mistake happens.

This is a good concept, but I don't think Cena should be in the match. He lost CLEANLY to JBL and Batista. Last time I checked people have to WIN matches to earn title shots.
My prediction: Batista will get the title, Cena will get the title, but CM Punk will walk away with the title (with someone going for the pin right at the buzzer of course. WWE LOVES making Punk look weak.)

So basically it's a 5-man elimination bout then. With a 20-minute time limit, what happens if that expires - whoever has the most recent pin/submissio wins, or the champ going into the match?
I'm glad the title's not going to be getting pinballed around during the actual match though...title reigns of a minute or two are worthless.

All I've read/heard since this was announced is "it's exact same as WM2000 Hardcore Battle royal" which is wrong, because that was a BATTLE ROYAL! It started with 13 people, if someone got tossed over the top rope they were eliminated. so ffs stop comparing it to that!
Anyone ever played WWF Smackdown 2? the Unfogiven Title Scramble is a Time-Limit-Title; 20 mins, pin the champ and become the champ. It'll probably be a good match. FFS IWC stop bitching, watch the match, then say it was shit!

Completely pointless. Why not make a simple elimination match? Plus, we all know Punk retains over Jericho (who is going to be added after the results of Raw, you will see) when HBK runs in and superkicks Jericho. Then it will likely be followed by an Elimination Chamber or 6-Man Hell in the Cell at some point in the new future. The thing is that they will keep Punk's "lucky" (IE: Getting BERRIED and then winning in the last second) streak alive.

The titles will change hands constantly, obviously but during the last 3 seconds (of course) Batista and Cena will have someone pinned (lets hope not Punk), the ref will make the three count having us wonder who the ref was counting. This will leave your title vacant which will give us an added Jericho if its an elimination Chamber, but hoping "Adamle" gives us a ten year anniversary survivor

I rememmber when wwe had the hardcore title and at Unforgiven they had a Hardcore Six Way Match with the rules excactly the same and it was a good match. WIth the men in the match this could be great and i dont know why you all are saying it will be pointless and devalue the title , because if anything , Five men fighting for Twenty Minutes to hold the gold at the end will be great for the title because they all want it. It will also be good for Punk , IF he wins ,because it will give him credibility after beating top stars. This match will be a great contest and it will have great action and so what if the title changes hands multiple times. Unforgiven will be a good show with this match and what seems to be HBK vs Y2J ( Cant call him that but still ) after the angle at SS and for the fact that Jericho isnt in the scramble. And maybe a Triple Threat for the US title and Triple H vs Show.

Moreover, I was concerned that CM Suck (CM Punk) would be given the belt ten times, or maybe even break Triple H’s record. If so, that would just be completely not cool. Surely many fans – myself included – would write letters to Mr. McMahon if such a travesty occurred. I am confident that Triple H would be alright with it because he is a ‘greater good first’ type of guy, but I know everyone else would be really mad. The Adamle explained this relatively simple concept during RAW.
My only criticism has already been mentioned: 20 minutes is a little short. You have multiple man matches go 30 minutes until there's a fall pretty frequently.
Sounds like a fun match to me, though.

I see it like this: After Summerslam there are no real World title feuds going on right now. This is their way of mixing it up a bit, something new & interesting.
I really think it should be Y2J & Orton (That "injury" is a work people -look at the hints) in the match insted of JBL & Kane. I also think the 20 min time limit is WAYYYY to short. Should be ATLEAST 30 min. At most 1 hour.

This is better than the Hardcore Battle Royal, but still seems a litte flakey.

I'm torn. On one hand, I didn't want there to be hundreds of changes just to improve their resumes. On the other hand, this now defeats the purpose surely? I guess it's not so much that the title itself is changing hands, but that whoever's holding it is the interim until the match is over and the result is announced.

The title holder will also appear on tv either with the title on his waist or on his shoulders. This individual will also make additional title defenses until he loses. Upon losing, he will be recognized as a former champion. The new champion will be recognized as a current champion.
