Saturday news...
- WWE.com has an article up which ranks the Top 25 Entrances, with Hulk Hogan's coming in at #1. Check out the article here.
- Paul Heyman has a new article up on the Sun website talking about how Ric Flair deserves better than cutting promos for independent wrestling promotions. Check out the article here.
- WWE.com reports that Batista, Shelton Benjamin, and Candice Michelle will all be attending the Democratic National Convention while Shawn Michaels, Mr. Kennedy, and Mickie James will be attending the Republica National Convention.
I heard Umaga is being sent to hang with Ralph Nader.

Val Venis and Kane will be representing at the Libertarian National Party Convention.

I already knew that Shawn was a loon, but to know that Mickie James is also retarded makes me very sad.
Poor, stupid rubes.
But high fives to Benjamin and Batista!

Notice that Vince isn't attenting either convention, smart move. I want to suggest vince for Chairman of "the President's council of fitness and Sports." 1. it'll keep him away from the creative process. 2. if anybody can market "Athletics and fitness is good" it's the guy who was on the cover of muscle and fitness at 60!
Posted By: Davis (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:03 AM
I always enjoyed the Guerreros entrance with the "Lie, Steal, Cheat" motiff...
Posted By: Charlie (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:04 AM
Lets all hope that Mr. Kennedy doesn't trip over a wire and dislocate his other shoulder. That would be a career ending injury.
Posted By: Ydennek (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:07 AM
what a lame list. how is The Rocks theme he used when he came back even remotely on that list.
that and the fact that the links dont work to watch each persons entrance. All you get is an ad, then "top 25" picture.
Posted By: nelson (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:08 AM
gee 411 thanks for spoiling the list...
Posted By: Guest#1200 (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:10 AM
Go Batista, Shelton, and Candice
Posted By: Wicked (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:14 AM
McMahon's entrance is number 2 and Taker is buried near 8? Who is sucking Vince off by making this bullshit list. And jericho ahead of the LOD? Be real.
Posted By: The Coach (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:17 AM
i personally think takers theme should be #1 =)
Posted By: Michael Cole (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:22 AM
that's not a bad list, but Jive Soul Bro should definitely be on it
Posted By: x (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:44 AM
RVD will be hosting the Green party convention.
Posted By: Guest#7817 (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:45 AM
Heyman is 100% right about Flair... the guy deserves much better. The promo for PCW that he cuts isn't the man he should be right now.
It reminds me of Captain Lou... doing local advertisements (especially his brother's insurance company) in Putnam County, NY when I was younger- he looked like a fool trying to hang on to what he was... and that's Captain Lou- Rick Flair is in a completely different league above Albano... and he sells himself for this?!?
I could understand leaving the WWE to be able to do certain things they wouldn't let you- the NWA Hall of Fame should have been your night... but doing crap like this- come on Ric... you're better then this.
Posted By: cyks (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:53 AM
Although I hate them both as workers I always thought that the New Age Outlaws had a good entrance theme in 1998. The crowd today would go bananas if they heard "Oh you didn't know... Your ass better caaaaaaaall somebody!" blairing through the WWE PA.

Oh my God, Mickie is bonerific AND a Republican?! That's it, I must have her...

Damn, Mickie James is a Republican? :-( That makes her so less sexy...

Never liked Batista and Shelton but Candice? Oh well.

All I can say is-
Batista- Cheated on his wife
Candice- Porno Movies

Mickie is a repub? Well I guess I don't need to read Csonka's reports anymore... man that just ruined her forever for me...I feel cheated and dirty.
Posted By: Kip (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 04:52 AM
Didn't Mr. Kennedy compare himself to JFK during the build-up to Cyber Sunday? Oh well. No surprise with Shawn, but if this were to happen ten years ago I would of laughed so hard. And Mickie is from Richmond, VA former capital of the Confederacy.
Does the States have a Marijuana Party like here in Canada, because RVD would be a perfect spokesman.
And Heyman is absolutely fucking correct about Flair looking completely low-rent for shilling out some indy promotion probably run by some inbred hick.
Posted By: Guest#2249 (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 04:53 AM
Austin should of been number one. The glass shattering has always just stirred this great emotion from the crowd and when I saw Hogan as number one I was thinking Voodoo Child, which was pretty badass.
Posted By: Guest#9763 (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 04:57 AM
i am not a fan of batista. but his entrance makes me jump out of me seat every single time.
i thought mr.kennedy would be a democrat since they are in favor of more affordable healthcare.

"I already knew that Shawn was a loon, but to know that Mickie James is also retarded makes me very sad.

Wait, so because people have different opinions than you, that makes them "retarded" and "a loon"?
Who really cares what political party these people follow? Why should you care?
Posted By: Brent (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 05:47 AM
If you're talking only about themes and not the actual entrances themselves, it is a pretty decent list. However, it is missing the all time best--Demolition
Posted By: Michael L (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 06:19 AM
Ahh, I always knew Batista was an idiot. Nice to see some real confirmation of that fact.
Posted By: morph316 (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 07:18 AM
the entrance themes should have included the non WWE/F themes. By that I mean they should have picked for the LEgion Of Doom ,the song IronMan,before they worked for Vince. Back then when ya heard those opening chords of Ironman you knew an ass kicking was on the way. And also no Badstreet ,USA for the Freebirds? cmon Or howbout Kerry Von Erich coming out to Tom Sawyer by Rush?
Posted By: gutter (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 07:20 AM
So Batista and Benjamin are r-tards. Who knew?
Posted By: ScottAlmighty (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 07:35 AM
There is no real difference between a democrat and a republican. Do really think anything is going to change with Obama as president?
Posted By: Dillrock (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 07:59 AM
Great to see that a hottie like Mickie James is also on the "right" side of things.

Dont fall into
the demo/reb bullish its all a game to distract us from the real issues... both candidates are puppetts working for a corperate agenda and honestly could careless about the average american worker... I consider myself an american that wants my say...
F@ck the Electorial College...
F@ck putting myself in a party, when both partys have lost the actual meaning as to what they once were..
The wrestling community online is fairly smart so i expect alot of you to not fall into their stupid games... the whole werld of politics is about as real as WWE television.. but that wuold be a insult to WWE cause at least in WWE there is some truth behind certian things.. In politrix its all lies
but wow... hbk and mickie james rebies.. ?> lol.. thats funny. shawn reminds me of jim helwig now....

The Undertaker and Ric Fair are republicans.

i bet shelton benjamin blames george bush for his lack of getting over.. pretty much what every other democrat does in this country.. blame bush for their not being able to this or that..

Posted By: Shane (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 09:04 AM
I agree who really cares what political party a wrestler is in favor of, you really should make your own decision. Oh yeah the __is a tard because they are a ___ or i hate ___ because he is a ___, really intelligent response there. What are you 13, shouldn't you save that for the playground.
Posted By: jp20 (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 09:09 AM
Nice I agree with a lot of that top 25
The Rock's music when he came back to the WWE was awesome

Posted By: Guest (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 09:58 AM
just because somebody is a republican doesn't make them a "loon"
There ARE more Republicans than the neo-Bushites and the religious right.
Oh wait, society brainwashes children to think there's only one right answer to things.
Go back to playing with your goddamned legoes.
Posted By: FFFFFFFF YOU (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 10:04 AM

Seriously. Grow up. I have friends of all sorts of varying political and theological views.

Posted By: you go ahead (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 10:26 AM
Has anyone here considered that the people going to each convention might not necessarily be of that party? Their role is to get people to vote a la the "Smackdown Your Vote" campaign.
Besides, based on recent events, if the WWE wanted to send someone representative of the Republican party, they should send Michael Hayes.
Posted By: Dave (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 10:46 AM
So Mickie "My porn pics expose just how unattractive I am underneath my clothing" James is a Republican? I didn't see that one coming.
And Shawn "Born again Christian" Michaels is a Republican? I think I already knew that one.
High five to Batista, Benjamin, and Michelle. My opinion of all three of them just went up.
Posted By: Rowe (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 10:53 AM
How do Shawn Michaels, Mr. Kennedy, and Mickie James all support someone as senile as John McCain? Oh wait, just look at their boss...
Posted By: Chris (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 10:55 AM
If Mickie James is a Republican it just makes her even hotter (so wrong its right logic)
Posted By: alun (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 11:11 AM
Hi, I'm a liberal and anyone who has a different view than me is evil...
I like to say I support free speech but only if it is what I believe.
I’m so smug and elitist that I spend most of my time wondering how anyone else could possibly have a different viewpoint despite the fact that half of the country is on the opposite side of the political fence.
Now I will dislike a wrestler because of their political affiliation, and why, because screw them, that’s why!
Grow up kids….
Posted By: Voth22 (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 11:14 AM
The number of people who are bashing (enter wrestler here) simply because they are attending a convention for (enter party here) is mind blowing. When will people realize that BOTH parties are flawed and BOTH parties have screwed up America in very major ways? Politics is NOT supposed to work as a smooth flowing system of efficiency. It NEVER has in the history of our government, and hopefully it never will.
Grow the fuck up and realize that differing political views are what make this country amazing.
Posted By: ShadowHendrix (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 11:16 AM
Thank you FFFFFF, you are absolutely correct with that statement
I must say our choices for president this time around kinda suck.
No offense but Obama plays the race card; If his name was Thomas Smith nobody would vote for him. McCain is kinda old. How can he relate to us younger voters?
Looks like I'll be staying home when the rest of the country casts their votes

Oh my God!! That was the worst Flair promo I've EVER heard. Not his fault, I suppose. I don't know. There was no passion. At all. It was like he was trying to be crazy Ric without the crazy. And we all know crazy Ric rules. That promo was more like something Tony Schiavone should be doing. Or Cole Slaw, begging "Please come see our show" Ric NEVER had to beg. He just said "The Horsemen are gonna be here, on this date" and people showed up. He should have dropped a few names. But it's like he just doesn't care anymore. He even over used the WOOOO. This is the Lord and Master of the WOOOO, and he was just throwing it around like Cole Slaw throws VINTAGE SOANDSO!! Boys, this hurts my heart to see what The Man has come to. He's Slick Fucking Ric, and he deserves better. The entrance list is horseshit. Undertaker is 8th. STONE COLD is 17TH?!?! The guy that made Vince more money than even HE could count is 17th? Hogan should NOT be 1st. He should be near the top, because, like him or not, that fucker got a crowd goin. Vince is number 2. That wasn't a question, I was referring to Vince as feces in this case. Arrogant asshole. I think we've all agreed on here that the Dead Man owns every other entrance before or since. I heard it live once. No Way Out 2006. I was working security for that show. You can see me about 4 times on the DVD, the best one after the Matt Hardy/Tatanka tag match against MNM. If you're so inclined. If you don't give a damn, never mind. Anyway, that gong hit after Kurt Angle came out and ever hair on my body stood up. I imagine the rest of the arena did the same. It was fuckin awesome!!
Posted By: the Mad Redneck (Registered) on August 23, 2008 at 11:53 AM
Don't judge Mickie too harshly, like most Republicans she is just too stupid to understand. They still think George Bush is a conservative. Hint: he's not.
Not that the do-nothing, ineffectual lame-ass Democrats are any better. Obama whoop-dee-doo!
Lewis Black said it perfectly: "The Republicans are a party of BAD ideas, the Democrats are a party of NO ideas"
Kane for president in 2012!!!!!
PS Ric Flair is the GOD of any room he walks into. He'll be fine.
Posted By: Dr. J (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 11:58 AM
Strictly sticking to the entrance music fiasco here, how are they going to have the nWo theme and specifically discuss their use of it in WCW, yet leave out perhaps the most awesome ECW entrance of all time? Especially when Hall, Nash, and Hogan aren't on the roster and the wrestler I'm thinking of is. He also had a pretty awesome WWE entrance theme to boot.
But enough with the suspense - I'm referring to Taz - "War Machine" by Kiss, remixed to include Taz growling "Beat me if you can...Surviiivvveee if I let you!"
Posted By: Wyatt (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 12:09 PM

you go ahead it's racist statements like that that create problems in this country, I hope you get your head blown off!
If Flair really needs to shill himself to make a buck, he should seriously go to TNA. At least he will still get exposure while getting paid.
Posted By: jj (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 12:14 PM
GANGREL at 23? i'm calling BS! and goldberg should have been on this list.
Posted By: hellboysetsfire (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 12:15 PM
Well that makes sense. They send two minorities and an air-headed bimbo to the DNC, and they send a perpetual top draw and two crowd pleasers to the RNC. I'd say Vince is smart for knowing where the money is.
Also, Mickie James just increased her hotness about 10x.
Posted By: GOP FTW (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 01:07 PM
By the way, "dont be stupid", all candidates in any political system in any country work for a corporate agenda. At least in this country, the money goes back into the economy at some point.
Also, anyone who says they "care" about the "common man" is either a celebrity with a "cause" or part of a organization with their own agenda. You'd be surprised how quickly either forgets about the "common man" once they get what they want. Hell, I don't care about any of you, but I understand you're instrumental to the smooth running of the world, and respect you for that. Doesn't mean I'm going to drop MY life to see YOU get ahead.

GOP you are falling into the illusion that it gets back into the economy, that my friend is the sad untruth. thats why we are in the state we are in.
I feel bad that you dont like any of us and only tolerate us cause we make shit run together. I actually like other people and I do what people to succeed other than myself. I want the masses that are stuck in a endless detb to the banking establishment to be free from struggle and stress... you might not want other people to do good , but i do. and I will take my tyme to help that...
So I ll be doing that while you sit and hate and get caught up in your lil puppett race of mcain and obama... I ll be studying and developing new ways to uplift this country

Are you talking about the ring entrance list, or what the WWE wrestlers should come out to at the conventions in honor of our canidates of all parties?
Posted By: TrainingWithTonya (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 02:57 PM
Did it say anywhere that Mickie is Repub/Batista is Demo?
I thought this was just the WWE marketing itself at the two conventions this year. Didn't the Rock go to both of them in 2004?
Posted By: Ted (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 03:53 PM
Going to a political convention doesn't mean you personally support it. Any or all of these six wrestlres could be viewing this as "ho hum, just another PR appearance". People also go to conventions to learn, scout, network, make money, protest..
It'll never happen, but Kennedy or Batista could make a scene.
Also since noone's said it yet, Kozlov and Armando Estrada to the Communist Party convention.

"I feel bad that you dont like any of us and only tolerate us cause we make shit run together. ... you might not want other people to do good,"
Neither are what I said. I love our people, a lot. I've invested a great amount of time and money in helping (key word "helping") people succeed. I really want everyone to succeed, very very much. However, some don't. Some are content to leech taxpayer money and work dead end jobs, wallowing in debt and poverty forever.
I don't feel it's MY responsibility to provide (key word "provide") YOUR success. It's absolutely shameful to piggyback someone else's influence and power to get ahead. I'm not looking for handouts; I'll live and die by own merit, thankyouverymuch. All that I expect is that everyone else do the same and not try to rely on the words and actions of others to lift them out of whatever hole they've dug themselves. Stop looking to our politicians for a free ride or a fix for the economy. Not gonna happen, not unless it suits them and their agenda.
Stay in school, get a job, bust ass every day and get ahead, save for retirement, enjoy life. It's just... that... simple.
Posted By: GOP FTW (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 04:22 PM
Okay...this political debate is really, REALLY stupid.
The real problem with America isn't that it's run by a certain political party, it's that it's people hate members of the other party. It is the blind hatred that is the real problem.
and to You Go Ahead:
Obama is not a Muslim. If you had half a brain, or the capacity to pay attention, you would know that. Not that it should matter. If he's the best guy to run the country, he should win, regardless of his religious beliefs.
I don't have a problem with religions, I have mine, but it shouldn't have jack-shit to do with why someone is elected.
NOW...Can we PLEASE move this over to the politics section of 411 where this sort of thing belongs? Because every wrestling fan knows that who REALLY should be president is...JBL!
Posted By: Ron (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 05:18 PM
How could they leave Goldust off the list? That guy hand a pretty neat entrance.
Posted By: King Of Kings (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 05:38 PM
I'm pretty left, but I could give a shit less about what Mickie James thinks about politics, I only watch her for boobage. I'm not gonna hate HBK because I don't give 2 shits about his politics cuz he's one of the most kickass wrestlers of all time and has entertained me for 20 years now. And I really don't give a shit who Kennedy campaigns for as long as he doesn't break his neck tripping over his own shoelaces.
Seriously if you guys would stop hating each other over political parties maybe more shit would get done in this country.

THERE IS NO DOUBT IN ANYONE'S MIND UNDERTAKER OWNS THE NUMBER 1 SPOT.... Hogan, H's, Vince, Austin, Anyone put them in what ever order you want but taker is number 1....Even the poll results show 44.9% voted undertaker
Posted By: sketchy1 (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 06:22 PM
Well the Rock's Hollywood Theme(my current ringtone) is on it because it's the hardest and greatest theme we've heard over the last 5 years. It was untouchable. LOL@Vince being at #2. Now that's a joke. Taker should be higher as should Austin's. Shawn's is WAY too fucking high. That shit is for sissies.
Posted By: Magnus (Guest) on August 23, 2008 at 07:16 PM
Well Ron, he may not be a muslim, but he is a racist. He did attend a big time racist church for 20 years, and in that case I would say his religion does matter. Anyone with half a brain could figure this out.
CM Wolf, you hit the nail on the head!
And Warrior had the best entrance.

"...while Shawn Michaels, Mr. Kennedy, and Mickie James will be attending the Republican National Convention."
That right there is proof solid that massive head trauma is a problem in wrestling.

Anyone who votes Republican is a subnormal dumbass who barely has time to go to the polls anyway between fucking their sister and slamming their enlarged forehead in their refrigerator door.
What? Everyone's THINKING it. I'm just SAYING it.

I need B. Hussein Obama and the rest of government to regulate what I drive, what I eat, what I read, what I watch on television, what light bulbs I put in my home, what temperature I set the air conditioner, what I say and what I think. Governement is smarter than I am and they know how to spend my money better than I do. Government, please wipe my ass for me from the day I'm born to the day I die.
I know, I know... people will say that Marxism and all it's various forms (Socialism, Communism, Fascism, Liberalism) doesn't work. People will say how all the European contries that have implemented Liberal ideals after WWII have FAILED and are now moving Conservative (England, France, Germany)to salvage the what is left of their countries' economy.
The reason all those OTHER countries failed with Socialist agendas is because they didn't have THE MESSIAH Barry Obama! He is a citizen of THE WORLD! He will lower the oceans and FORCE (as his wife says... "force") change in America!!!

I can see it now...on Election Night, a special six person tag match on ECW: Batista, Shelton Benjamin, and Candice Michelle vs. Shawn Michaels, Mr. Kennedy, and Mickie James in a Winner Gets The White House match!

Hahaha, yeah. What a surprise; a Republican gets embarassed and what's the first thing he goes for?

What happened to the Strike Force theme?
Arriba!

Poor list. I would have included Strike Force, Demolition, Dusty Rhodes, NAO, Sycho Sid, Sting, Flair and Kamala...
They made this list by theme recognition, i guess. When you hear a great theme the crowd pops and gets instant recognition...not only that, but the theme should be timeless. So I agree with #1 being Hogan, but Undertaker should be #2. Come to think of it, Hogan's Voodoo Child should be #3. Vince's no chance in the top 10, maybe.
Orient Express and Harlem Heat were awesome themes too. But those are racial themes and we cannot accept them...right?
