New indication that Mick is headed to TNA...
A source indicates that TNA is already working on Mick Foley t-shirts and other merchandise ideas. This would seem to indicate that Foley is headed to TNA.
So Can we all Expect TNA Ratings to go to 1.3 for one week

Not gonna lie, if Foley signs with TNA I might lose all respect for him. The WWE gave him absolutely everything and now that he needs nothing more from them he can play sore loser and walk out?
Just retire, Mick. Don't soil your awesome legacy like Kurt Angle did.

The WWE whipped Foley like a dirty yard dog. He's so humilated right now that he's afraid to turn his back. But Mick Foley heals, and he heals well.

Can't wait to book the angle where the Dudley's force feed Curry Man to Mick and Shark Boy has to face Team 3-D in a handicap Foley on a Poley match to get Curry Man back. Once Sharky's won, Christopher Daniels will emerge from the bowels of Foley and...TURN ON SHARK BOY!!! Swerve! Swerve!

No but I bet we can expect all of mainstream America mercilessly ripping on WWE, TNA, and ROH equally. So it's not like your company is cooler than anyone else's.

Hey, if this means there's even a shot of Christian and Foley sharing the same space on my TV screen again, I'm for it. Sodas rule!

Seriously? Are they going to give him a big push one week so he can resign with WWE the next week? I haven't watched TNA in over a year. I tuned in last week because in my area it was on at 4pm. This isn't the same TNA I was gaga for 2 years ago. I'm watching, all of a sudden Petey Williams looks like a 100lbs. Scott Steiner. Sting still hangs out in the rafters? AJ Styles is a buffoon?
Posted By: D (guest) (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 04:10 PM
mick dont do it youll just have to job to slobmoa joe and his chop, kick, suplex, musclebusta aka 4 moves of doom oh wait i guess that five minute headlock stall makes it 5

Hmmm... well that means Don West will be out on the I-5 with a squeegee and a rag again... THANK GOD. Don more soap and less urine in that water please.

Watch, Foley is going to have more problems with TNA than he did in the WWE.
Posted By: what (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 04:30 PM
No buys! This is fucking stupid...Foley isn't going to change a thing for TNA. I'm sure they'll use him in this Millionaire's Club/New Blood re-hash they are working on - but c'mon Mick..you are better than this...just stay home with your wife adn kids if you won't want to work for Vinnie Mac anymore. I'm not knocking TNA, more so than Foley just tarnashing his legacy! He doesn't need to do this!!! I say Boo-Urns!!!!!!!!!!
Posted By: Smo (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 04:40 PM
Im glad, Foley has given his all to the WWE and there really isnt more for him to do there. Plus with the way his body must be now, he needs an easier schedule. Hopefully he can be a benefit to TNA.

Posted By: bigbog (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 04:57 PM
I'm a huge Foley fan so I'm glad he'll land on his feet, but his attitude at the end of his WWE announcing run was really shitty.
Complaining about being yelled at by Vince, and talking about being treated like Todd Grisham?? WTF Mick? Grisham is more experienced than you in terms of announcing...why would you be treated better than him. JR and King both no doubt are screamed at down a mic, and you don't hear them whining do you? I've lost a bit of respect for the man with his "better than you" attitude, as it seems unlike the man from a few years back.
He's known McMahon long enough to know he won't coddle someone he feels is not doing well. Look at Adamle. No doubt he's been reamed a few times and he's still plugging away trying to improve.
Not good for Foley, seems he's gaining a reputation for being a prima-donna...last guy I'd expect it from really.

I'll only buy into it if He either Confronts Abyss for stealing his Gimmick or if he is Dude Love..
I have a feeling he will be the new mouth piece for Abyss..
Whats next Ric Flair in TNA

Well, I doubt Foley will be wrestling at all, and if he does the matches will probably horrific. So unless your some huge Mick Foley nut rider, I don't see why this would help, add another ex-WWE wrestler past his prime to the pool.

I'm not one for the whole "you sold out" thing, but this is a joke. Foley is a below-average worker who hit the lottery when Vince finally figured out how to push him and made him a huge star. So huge, in fact, that he was able to make six figure "appearances"for years after his active career was over. He had a media machine that gave him three bestselling books, further fattening his pockets. And now he's going to TNA, presumably to do his usual "human pincushion" schtick, at least for a few months, until he needs to "retire" again. This shows me nothing other than that he is a piece of garbage. Good riddance.
Posted By: guest (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 06:43 PM
ratings will probably go up a bit with foley in there but i still think that tna are haveing to many gimmick matches and people get tired of that..tna was good when they were all about the x-division and tag teams now there bringing in all the guys that wwe are leting go and if you look at it it hasnt helped them much i think they should just focus on building new stars and bringing back the x-division the way it was.........
Posted By: Jose413 (Registered) on August 26, 2008 at 07:17 PM
so just one question IF mick foley is heading to tna does anybody know the role he is going to play....NO. You can't knock this idea because you don't even KNOW the idea. He could play a VITAL role on the mic, he could replace Don West, he could help with creative, all would be GREAT ideas. His wwe career is not ruined because he has done awesome things for them including getting thrown off of a 15 foot high cage. It also helps that he left on good terms with them. Until you get some inside source on what they plan to do with him, you really can't complain
Posted By: cj (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 07:23 PM
i seriously hope you're joking about the easier schedule. One day announcing per week plus a PPV per month is cake. Where do I sign up for that schedule?
Posted By: beezy (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 07:24 PM
Lets not forget the fact the Foley can't even wrestle anymore let allow do "hardcore" matches.

You should brush up on some history, mick foley was WELL KNOWN before he ever stepped into a wwe ring as mankind. The wwe gave him some nice stuff but there is nothing wrong with leaving if you want to explore other oppurtunities.

Nobody screams in that man's ear and gets away with it! HAVE A TOTALLY NONSTOP ACTION FILLED DAY!
Two weeks later he'll quit citing creative differences with Vince Russo and be begging for his old job back. Again.
Posted By: Black Scorpion (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 07:42 PM
Mick, I have two words for you: Macho Man! Don't piss in Vince' punch bowl. He gave you the biggest stage and has helped you gain noteriety as a writer as well. That would not have happened without the WWE brand behind you.
TNA will be bankrupt in 2 years and as we have seen, Vince has a long memory for vendettas.

You whiney

You whiney know it alls ever think that maybe the TNA lighter schedule and main tv taping location might have something to do with his decision? Good for you Mick , I will be watching for you to debut in a brand new environment soon.
Posted By: JHB (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 08:45 PM
That doesn't mean anything. TNA would TOTALLY make merchandise for someone w/out signing them first. you all know they would.
but if they do, get ready for some epic Abyss vs. Foley matches.

You kidding? Without Vince McMahon, Foley would be the guy that appeared on Nitro a bit or the guy that sold out Madison Square BINGO HALL. His legacy wouldn't be 10% what it is now without Vince.
Posted By: Brendan (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 10:16 PM
Brendan, I'm sure that Mick Foley is going to lose sleep worrying that some adolescent might lose respect for him if he makes a career move. Btw, it wasn't Vince Macasshole that went off the roof of that cage, which is what really made Foley into a hero to both the arena crowds and the IWC. Foley made his rep himself. You teeny bopper fan boys have just got to stop sucking Macassholes cock long enough to realize that he's not the god of wrestling, he's just a guy who inherited the family business, and had one good idea, seeing what cable TV could mean to wrestling.
Now, if only Mick can get his friend The Rock to drop by TNA and do a promo or two -- if you can smell .... what truthie .... is cooking! lol
Posted By: truthsayer (Guest) on August 26, 2008 at 10:33 PM
I for one am excited the brilliant team at TNA managed to sign on another aging WWE star who has but a few matches left in him. Maybe some "young buck" will force Mick Foley to be hardcore, "even if it's just ONE MORE TIME!"
Who's not feuding with a current WWE star...Curry man, I'm looking at you!

"Oh, it's all great for Gail Kim to leave TNA for WWE, but Mick leaves WWE for TNA and he's a sell out, huh?

You're right, Kim is more of a sellout, the only thing is, nobody really gives a crap about her. Sure, she may be a popular woman's wrestler, but in WWE, she'll be a DIVA. When ANY woman gets the kind of reaction Hogan, Rock, Austin, Cena, Flair even DUGGAN gets, then you can make this argument.
She's just a woman's wrestler and no matter how "popular" she may be...just think about that one big breasted blonde bombshell who is considered by many (ugh) to be the greatest "diva" of all time....Trish...umm, who?
That's my point exactly.
Posted By: Killian Salah (Registered) on August 27, 2008 at 12:40 AM
Folwy's not a sellout. He's an idiot, and he's insulted the WWE fans by claiming he's too good to put up with what JR, JBL, Tazz, King, and all the other announcers put up with. He can talk about how he wants to build his legacy all he wants, but he had a legacy eight years ago, and he threw it away by coming back. Now all he's after is ego-stroking, and one last day in the spotlight.

First thing Mick will do in TNA: Bash the WWE and Vince McMahon in some shoot promo...TNA seems to think this pattern gets ratings. Step 1: Sign washed up talent. Step 2: Have said talent bash ex-employer. TNA is too predictable and so is WWE.
Wrestling, in general, is past it's prime folks, not just some of the talent. Not sure why so many people get all upset when someone leaves either company really. Nobody really cares anymore, it's not like the mid to late 90s. It's so insignificant. TNA is just plain dumb to keep signing ex-WWE like it's going to spike some kind of war. Um TNA, you don't even have a show on the same night as WWE, there is no real competition unless that happens. And most of the 1.1 million people that watch your show have probably not even heard of some of the wrestlers you bring in, all they care about is seeing people beat each others ass!
TNA was ALOT better before they started acting like WWE. TNA NEEDS TO GET ORIGINAL if they really want to compete in the wrestling business. Doing retarded storylines is NOT what TNA should be doing. If anything, be more like ROH. Become competitive ORIGINALLY.
Anyway, no, Mick Foley will do diddly squat to improve TNA folks. Why would anybody think he will? Kurt Angle, the Dudleys, Christian, Daivairi, Booker T,BG James, Kip James, Christy Hemme, Kevin Nash, Rhino, Salinas, Scott Steiner, and any other ship jumper have done nother to improve TNA's numbers. Sure, their ratings have gone up like .1 or .2 in the past few years, but that is pretty pathetic really with the talent they have. And of course there will be the TNA fanboys that will say their house show numbers are up. Well duh, they have only recently started actually going on the road, so of course those numbers will be up.
Back to the matter at hand, it's not a lack of talent that makes TNA horribly mediocre and stupid, it's a lack of creativity and originality, and that is where Mick Foley COULD come in handy. Put him on the creative team. He couldn't be any worse than Vince "I can't write a good wrestling storyline unless Vince McMahon is keeping my stupid stories in check" Russo. That guy hasn't written a good show since his WWF days, yet TNA sucks his balls all day long.
But to sum up this long rant, I still respect Mick Foley for all he has accomplished in the business, especially his days in Japan and ECW. He is a guy that cares about his legacy. It may be ego-driven, but what athlete's isn't? Do I think it is a mistake that he is going to TNA? Not really. As long as he is leaving WWE on good terms, he could still wind up in the WWE Hall of Fame, not that WWE is ALL of wrestling, they are just a large part of the business and the most successful outside of Japan. Good Luck to Mick. Have a Good Day! :)

foley is so fucking stupid!! after all what the wwe did for him he leaves it?? screw mick and screw tna
Posted By: guest (Guest) on October 17, 2008 at 09:59 AM
Mick Foley isn't any special I mean how many has-beens who are too impatient to wait for their pension are willing to fight each other in who can get tired in under 6 minute matches then go and get a hip replacement come back sign a contract that must make their opponents job to them so they can get a nice pay-check and keep their empire-state building sized ego's in check. TNA used to be like the smarter, cleaner ECW well the original one because this one is full of shit but that's not the case well not for now. What happened to what made TNA unique the X-Division is becoming as boring and lazy as the WWF and WCW cruiserweight divisions before it I always thought that the X in X-division stood for Xtreme now i finally know that it stands for Xtremely boring they keep sucking has-beens like Vince Russo and Jim Cornette's dicks TNA should consider changing their name to TNB-Total Nonstop Blowjobs why don't they make a A.J Styles versus Sting Ladder Match for The World Title oh I almost forgot the reason that people compare TNA to WCW is because it's just another company using the big gold belt as a world title so fuck Foley And TNA until they stop using that cross the line shit what is this copying wwe when it used the get the f out catch phrase
