Ken Kennedy To Have Surgery Friday
Posted by Larry Csonka on 08.27.2008

Ken Kennedy is set to have shoulder surgery this Friday. Kennedy injured his shoulder earlier this month at a house show in a match with Shelton Benjamin. He suffered a torn labrum and damage to his rotator cuff according to Dr. James Andrews. Kennedy attempted to rehab the injury, but it was determined that it was no help to the injury. Dr. James Andrews will perform the surgery on Friday, which is expected to keep Kennedy out 4-6 months.

Back just in time to win the Royal Rumble........................... Rumble.

And then get hurt before WrestleMania.

we wish him best in his future endeavors.

Get well soon Kennedy... take your time and rest well. Maybe when you come back they'll give you a better entrance theme and put you in an actual feud!

Mrrrrrrrrrrr. Surgery.......Surgery!

This guy will be lucky to ever get a major push with him getting injured so often.

Posted By: Rob (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 11:43 AM

Kennedy = Chris Chandler

The guy is one blindside hit away from shattering into a thousand pieces.

Hopefully when he returns, he can actually have a decent career.

He needs to change his finisher jumping off the turnbuckle with midgets on your shoulders will take it's toll

LOL @ Ahmed Kennedy

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery

Posted By: Cory (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 12:19 PM

Geez is he injury prone. Sadly these injuries will just give WWE more and more reasons not to push him higher up on the card and rightfully so...he's just unreliable due to injuries.

He's feeling the pains of steroid use, the muscle is growing faster than the tendons can handle.

Ken "Maven Ahmed" Kennedy Get well soon hurry back. This hero worship shit has to stop cena has surgery Ken has surgery.

Posted By: TheOne (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 12:29 PM

Funny as it is, isn't Ahmed Kennedy not quite accurate? Ahmed was more well known for injuring other people, rather than himself, as far as I remember. Also, Kennedy doesn't sound like there's an 8-man marble tournament going on in his mouth at all times.

In future news... the wwe has come to terms on the release of ken anderson...

Which of course would mean, your winner and newww TNA champion... Mr..... Kennedy...

KENNEDY!

it was reported that he was told he should have surgery, but he chose to tough it out. that cost him an extra month of recovery time.

i like Double K Ken Kennedy a lot, but he just can't get out of his own way.

is anyone still counting how many injries this guy has had since Wrestlemania?

Posted By: Davis (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 01:03 PM

so why aren't there people in -this- threat screaming its a work or its a wellness issue ?

Kennedy its legit..
Cena its a work ?

why ?

Posted By: DumDum (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 01:14 PM

Dear Kennedy,

(1) Learn how to take bumps better. (2)Take calcium supplements to help keep your bones strong. (3) Lift weights and take natural, legal supplements to make your body stronger. (4) Stretch daily to make your body more flexible.(5) If you end up getting released by WWE, go to TNA for their lighter schedule.

With utmost regard,

Your friend,

Chico

How can you possibly think that he's on steroids?

(1)He's not buff.(2)He looks smaller than when he first started at WWE.(3) He doesn't want to get busted for another Wellness violation.

kennedy is the next william regal. he is a solid midcarder but not a main eventer. hopefully this will be a sign not to push him to the moon anymore. let him be Us champ or even be a set up guy for future main eventers(ie jake roberts).

Posted By: jd (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 01:54 PM

Can this guy just go away...
pure jabroni never-was, never-will be.
Open a spot for someone else!

"This guy will be lucky to ever get a major push with him getting injured so often."

Like how they stopped pushing Edge, and Orton, and Taker, and Batista, and...

Posted By: Shockmaster (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 02:22 PM

I do hope to see him join TNA, he seems like he'd fit that roster better anyway.

Besides, I think he's burned all of his bridges with WWE and needs a fresh start.

Posted By: Ryder (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 02:24 PM

Damn, just when I thought Candice Michelle was the most injury prone wrestler on WWE's roster, Mr. Kennedy goes and proves me wrong. At this point, he'd probably be better off retiring and becoming a commentator.

Posted By: Cosmo (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 02:54 PM

There's a lot of glass wrestlers: Ahmed, Nowinski, Maven, Kennedy, Rey, Batista, Hulk(don't even start, he needs a new hip and knee?! From his hardcore style I guess...)
Is Kennedy even that great on the mic? He was unique when he first came up- in what 2004 or 2005? Since then he's been injured half the time and has not developed as a wrestler or a character at all.
People keep comparing Kennedy to Austin, which is an insult to Austin's ability. Maybe in ability to be damaged all the time. People forget that Austin was canned from WCW for injuries, and Kennedy must be sweating a lot these days!

Posted By: FUZEY (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 02:57 PM

Ken Kennedy by now should have been a World Champion. He would have defeated the Undertaker and cashed in the Money in the Bank last May if it wasn't for his what feels like hundredth injury. I hope for the best. However, I don't think he will be a WWE champion until 2010 at the earliest, and that's if they even decide to do that. 2009 is going to be his build momentum year.

Posted By: Batista IS better than Cena (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 03:01 PM

The body falls apart from steroid abuse.

Posted By: RedVexx (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 03:29 PM

Kennedy always get injured...or suspended whenever the show he is on, Smackdown or Raw is coming to Green Bay. Smackdown is coming to Green Bay in September. It must be a curse or something.

Maybe Kennedy pulls a Cena in the 09 Rumble and takes it.Dude is good,so I hope he heals well.

Posted By: garyyear (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 04:11 PM

Also why is FUZEY such a jerk about injuries, just makes him look like a BIGGER PIECE OF CRAP.

Posted By: gary year (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 04:14 PM

I've had labrum surgery before. His shoulder will never feel the same after this surgery.

Posted By: John (Guest)  on August 27, 2008 at 05:18 PM

HMMMMM, Kennedy has shoulder surgery and will be out 4-6 months.

CENA has MAJOR neck surgery and is walking around the same day? Expected to be back IN RING within THREE MONTHS?

Its either a MAJOR work, or John Cena has more steroids and HGH in him than the NFL, MLB and all the disqualified Olympians COMBINED. Either way, I dont buy it and Cena has lost EVERY bit of the respect he earned.

"kennedy is the next william regal."

Only difference is Regal has talent and could pull a good match out of a broom

Poor bastard.

good on the mic but pretty crappy in the ring....

he suffers alot of injuries this man... hopefully when he returns he is heel, cause he's a lame face

get well KK

'Kennedy Injured' doesn't even seem like news these days. It's almost a cliche, like "you either love it or hate it", or "it's a shame there could only be one winner", or "stop hitting me, Tamar". Cena and Orton could learn a thing or two from Kennedy if they truly want to dethrone him as the 'glass man' of WWE.

Here's to another full recovery, followed promptly by some creative direction.
