TNA News: Shannon Moore, TNA Video Game Commercial, Spoiler, More
Posted by Ashish on 08.27.2008
Wednesday TNA news update...
- Shannon Moore was not backstage at the Impact taping last night as some have reported.
- TNA will debut the TNA Impact video game commercial on their website today. The commercial features AJ Styles and Kurt Angle brawling in a video game store.
- There are still some upset people internally in TNA over the entire fiasco with Ticketmaster and the 9/6 NYC show. Ticketmaster had listed the event as canceled for several days and were telling fans that the problem was on TNA's side even though it seems as if the issue was on Ticketmaster's side.
SPOILER WARNING!
- Tomko, who returned at the Impact taping on Monday, has not signed a contract yet with TNA. He isn't expected to work fulltime with TNA. Tomko had planned on working regularly for IGF in Japan but they have canceled many of their upcoming shows. He will be used semi-regularly by TNA.
So Tomko left because he felt underused and hated the storylines, but since he doesn't have a paycheck. He is coming back? Makes sense...but why did TNA accept him back so easily?

anyone seen the playstation downloadable trailers for this tna game... CRAPTASTIC. It looks horrid, just like wrestlemania arcade. Truly a terrible looking game. In the trailer the first move completed is a swinging DDT to start the match, so obviously there is little intuitiveness built in about which moves can be used and when. crap...crap...crap...

Oh crap, how come I get the feeling that we're about to see another TNA deal where a guy who is unsigned gets face time and leaves the company high and dry?
Monty Brown would be the perfect person to bring back for this New Blood angle but he's got more important things to do with his family.

They should show an ad of someone using the game disc as a coaster. This game sucks harder than Jeremy Borash! They dont even have submission finishers. No ankle lock or Samoan choke! WTF? SvR2009 is gonna sink this one faster than Salina's boob job.

"Makes sense...but why did TNA accept him back so easily?"
Because TNA always try bring back people, even if the screw them (Hall, Nash) or sue them (Konnan)

So TNA is even copying old WWE commercials, when will the insanity stop

Geez it's about time the TNA game is actually coming out. It's been so long that they dropped some of the original formats. No more PS1 or Sega Genisis.

Holy shit it that for real? No submission finishers??? I'm out. How in the hell do you make the game with Kurt, Joe and Sting and not have a fuckin submission finisher?!?!? Tell me that is a lie.
I have always been one of the most outspoken about how illiterate ppl sound when they say this, but this time is the first time it really fits.
After two years of dragging your asses on this game, no submissions?
EPIC FAIL

Because Tomko is a good hand to have around of course! While his new arrangement might not be as lucrative, he WILL be working. Tomko isnt just a meathead, the younger guys have LEARNED from the Jake Roberts' of the past. While he might not have Hogan levels of money in the bank, you can BET he has some decent investments for his retirement years.

Apparently, there are only seven grapple moves as well. I mean I'm not calling the game crap, but I'm not getting hyped...

There is no reason not to take Tomko back. If they have learned anything from Vince McMahons dominance of wrestling it is to not to hold a grudge over things that are business based decisions. The only people he ever closed the door on were ones that he had very personal problems with (Randy Savage for instance). If it's business that caused a split (creative differences counts as business) then business can mend it.
TNA should look at bringing back any past guys that were good in TNA regardless of if they went to WWE or not. No doubt Vince would take Angle back in a heartbeat if he thought there was a dollar in it.
TNA have a recognizable character with Tomko and one that fits in well. He won't get any big pushes while he's not fully committed but of course they'll use him.

this one is espcially for you......http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TNA_Impact!_(video_game)
go to that link and see where it says LESS EMPHASIS will be put on submissions, which means that there WILL be submissions on the game, now as for how many, let's wait and see til the game comes out before you criticize it.

TNA's signature Full Metal Mayhem, Monster's Ball, and Ultimate X, will be playable match types; alongside the more standard Singles, Tag team and Fatal Four Way matches.Submission and Falls Count Anywhere matches will also be included. There will not, however, be a Six Sides of Steel match.

Ummm a wrestling game with no steel cage match? Didn't Legends even have a cage and that is widely regarded as the biggest bust in the buiz? I was all about the 12 days and counting but now I am going to be doing some serious waiting before I drop $50.00 on this one. I have a feeling it will be in a discount bin at Game Trader in about a month.

They brought him back so you can't bitch about them having released him before the game came out

Tomko shold push to re-sign Tomko. That man was on fire during his minnie push and, if booked properly, could become a future TNA World Champion... oh yeah, TNA don't book anyone properly... why do I bother watching TNA anymore?

How the hell can you have FULL METAL MAYHEM when the only weapon in the game is a frickin' steel chair??
