Killer Kowalski lives on through first his family and secondly his wrestling "family". Countless "sons and daughters" that were on the receiving end of his wisdom inside the squared circle.
A true legend from a time when wrestlers were not "superstars" and it all seemed so real.
You will be missed but not forgotten.

Well, it seemed inevitable after all the recent health reports. At least he lived to a ripe age. Rest in peace.

81 years old, that's really good for a wrestler. This guy took care of himself and should be an example for these young guys dying in their 40s.

Kowalski seems to have gone out in a way befitting him: Fighting tooth and nail every inch of the way. Two weeks off life support, hell most people wouldn't have lasted two days. The man was legit tough and its always sad when a pioneer passes away.. RIP Killer Kowalski, and God Bless to his family and friends.

Posted By: Black Scorpion (Guest)  on August 31, 2008 at 01:36 AM

I highly doubt that Killer WANTED to go out fighting tooth & nail, but it certainly does seem fitting. I wish his loved ones all the best in their grieving.

Heaven needed another great teacher, friend and angel. May your claw fly across the skies forever! You will be missed.

My condolences to the entire Kowalski family. Now my dad can see his matches in person! Enjoy the view Killer!

If you go on msn.com, Killer Kowalski's passing made Top Headlines. Just goes to show how much of a legend he is when a wrestler's passing makes top headline news on one of the internet's top news websites in the world.

R.I.P Killer, The Game shall keep your legacy alive and strong for many more years to come.

I watched him wrestle on TV in the 60's and saw him live once in Australia in 1966. I loved hating him. Now headlining in a better place.

We love you Killer, enjoy heaven, but man you will be missed here! RIP!

almost forty two years ago to the day, my dad took me to my first pro wrestling show at the old expo hall in wheeling, ev, headlined by a wwwf title match between bruno sammartino and a perpetual motion machine named killer kowalski.
though i rooted against him that night and countless others with all the fervor an eight year old bruno fan could muster, it was always obvious what a talented performer kowalski was.
his passing leaves a void, and makes all who remember spending a significant portion of their childhoods watching killer slap on the stomach claw feel a little older, and a lot sadder.
