Even More Various News: Christian & Team 3D TNA Contract Updates, Candice's Return, RVD TV, More
Posted by Ashish on 09.02.2008
Even more news on a busy day...
- Rob Van Dam has a new episode of RVD TV at robvandam.com where he talks with Jon Heidenreich and Chris Masters about government.
- Smackdown will be moved to 8-10PM locally in St. Louis from now until it moves to MyNetworkTV as the station will now air an hourlong news broadcast at 7PM.
- Candice Michelle returned to the ring prior to the RAW taping on Sunday. Many in the company are really rooting for her to stay healthy this time as she has put a lot of work into improving as a wrestler.
- Christian Cage is in talks with TNA about a new contract.
- Team 3D's deal with TNA is expected to expire within the next week. Discussions are ongoing about a new deal but unless one is worked out, their final appearances with TNA may be at the NYC shows this weekend.
"Many in the company are really rooting for her to stay healthy this time as she has put a lot of work into improving as a wrestler."
As opposed to the folks who everyone wants to see get injured.

c'mon christian! defect! i want Edge v Christian for wrestlemania!

The WWE treated Christian like a red-headed stepchild...he should never go back.

I am the great iwc hope! My ideas and thought are
So cutting edge some might think I'm crazy. I feel uncomfortable watching candice michelle. She's sloppy. Like her b-porn movies. Just all window dressing with out any penetration. "wow, anymore heat and ZHarvest's chickens will come home to roost"

Put a lot of work into improving as a wrestler????? She almost broke Beth's Neck and can't go one match without almost or seriously hurting herself or someone else. Bikini models/porn stars are NOT WRESTLERS.

Christian's last days as a WWE star were demoralizing when despite garnering the fan reaction to seriously start considering him for a hw title program, he was denied by the most insecure multi champ in recent Wrestling history.

I do hope the Christian and Team 3D move back to the WWE. TNA has done a great job in building up Christian and his charisma is definitely missing on WWE broadcasts. As for the Dudleys, it's about time they leave TNA as their act is too overbearing for the smaller company and they overshadow some of the main event singles teams. TNA needs to build more local talent and push guys like MCMG. Both of these high-priced talents moving back to WWE is a win for everyone involved.

Team 3D has nowhere else to go. They will stay with TNA. TNA needs to keep Christian in a bad way.
Posted By: Ben Dayho (Guest) on September 02, 2008 at 02:53 PM
unfortunately we'd never see Edge vs Christian in a wrestlemania main event as WWE would never push a TNA main eventer as an equal in their promotion (for fear of TNA being considered their equal).

Tna sent out an alert last year around this time that Cage signed a new multi year contract.
Konnan also said in an interview that before he left, Cage signed a new deal.
So doubt there is any truth to this.

I agree, Christian come back to wwe. The fans will go nuts. Its been three years since you left, its time to come back home for the peeps.

I'd like to see the Dudleys come back to WWE for a short stint...Dudleys vs E&C vs Hardys in another TLC match =D

I'm curious as to what did she do with that work, since none of it shows.

"D-Von!............Get The WWE CONTRACT!"

remember a more simple time when all it took was a cool set of sideburns to get over?

Actually, it did show. Maybe not last night, but before her injury, she was noticeably better in the ring.

Then again, you are using Konnan as a reference.

Jeff Hardy says hi.

I hope that Christian Cage sticks with TNA for a while. The WWE made him look like a chump in his last days there despite his growing popularity.
Team 3D, I just don't know. They're a great team, one of the best ever really.
They've held the tag team titles in 3 of the 4 major US companies of the last 20 years. (WCW doesn't count, they weren't there).
But what else is there for them to do?

candace michelle's face looked freaky.. her body was tanned and her face was white. the glamazon should not be ascared of that anorexic chick.
Posted By: squirrel master (Guest) on September 02, 2008 at 05:36 PM
i agree that candice has improved, but the real credit should go to beth phoenix who still managed to sell her botched head scissor and made it look BROOTAL! i didnt realize she f'd up until the replay...i was like "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT AWESOME MOVE!?"
Posted By: hellboysetsfire (Guest) on September 02, 2008 at 05:38 PM
Since the WWE doesn't put as much stock in tag teams the way they used to, I don't think they would take back the Dudleys, especially after the way they blasted ECW.
Christian should stay in TNA. They made him into the star that he is, and even if he does go back to the WWE do you really think he'd get a World Title push with HHH and Super Cena/ Batista/Orton ruling the roost?
Posted By: Orlando (Guest) on September 02, 2008 at 05:43 PM
You obviously didn't watch the same match I did. I unfortunately had to see her match from raw live.

Dudley's vs. Cryme Time @ Cyber Sunday.
Posted By: Guest#5445 (Guest) on September 02, 2008 at 07:04 PM
I do not want to see the Dudley Boyz back in the WWE. NO FN WAY!!! Christian... if he does come back, I hope it's not to Raw. Go to Smackdown (or hell) so I don't have to watch you >:)

Superstars screw up in their first matches back from injury all the time. Rey had a couple hiccups later on that night, including a botched huracaranna. Give Candice a break she works way more hard then most of the Divas.

I feel if the WWE keeps blowing their angles, pushes, and jobbing based out of decisions full of pride, then eventually that balloon will pop, and not the kind of pop they're looking for...However, I like the idea of experienced wrestlers getting some control on the creative, within reason. Proven entertainers actually in or near the ring, past and present would have the direct time and experience with audience, much over some writer(s) they use now...(Like when almost ALL commentators were former wrestlers).Just makes more sense to me, because they have the in ring feel for the what the audience would want if they're good enough mentally. Could make for much more compelling shows...Just my opinion

People, Christian is the biggest no talent, no carisma guy in the business. The fact that he has a contract at all is still astonishing to me.
Did he get burried in the WWE? Sure. He was leaving. That's what happens. You job out and everyone knows that.
This is not Hulk Hogan. He never headlined a house show that sold out. He never sold a ticket as TNA champion either. He is just plain boring.

Why do you idiots thinks peopel like Christian left vinnie - they would not suck him off like you morons!

Yup, the alert was sent on May 28th, 2007 stating Christian signed a 2-yr contract. Which means Christian still has 9-months left on his current contract.
