Various News: Flair Shoot Interview, Team 3D Update, SHIMMER Wrestling School, Praise For The Wrestler, and More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 09.08.2008

- Sources in TNA have confirmed that Team 3D is now signed with the company through 2010.

- Ric Flair will conduct his first ever shoot interview this Wednesday with Highspots.com.

- The SHIMMER Women's Athlete's promotion will open up their own training school soon. They will run out of the Ring of Honor wrestling school in Bristol, Pa and Daizee Haze will be the lead trainer.

- Gail Kim will be working for Booker T's PWA on September 18th. This is probably a sign that Kim hasn't signed with WWE yet, as they likely wouldn't let her work an indie show.

- The Wrestler continues to generate a lot of buzz in Hollywood. Most expect that the film will land a distributor soon for a major theatrical release. The Hollywood Reporter has an article up on interest in the film here. The film is directed by Darren Aronofsky and stars Mickey Rourke. There has been some early talk of Rourke being nominated for an Academy Award for his role.

is Kim in TNA or WWE now or what?

I'll save everyone from having to respond

On behalf of WWE marks: Team 3D is SO STUPID for re-signing with a company that gives them a more restful schedule! Also, Gail, why haven't you re-signed with WWE yet? Don't you miss being cast aside for the diva search broads?

On behalf of the TNA marks: I'll betcha Flair doesn't say anything derogatory about WWE or Shawn or Hunter! I'll be he buries Jarrett and Steiner and other TNA guys just to keep their product at a steady 1.1!

Did I miss anything?

I usually buy nothing.

I HAVE TO HAVE THE FLAIR SHOOT

Who are you asking, Davis? The news item is explicitly clear about Gail Kim not being signed with anyone at the moment. Are you expecting some kind of personal reply from Larry or Ashish with late-breaking news on her future? Do you have no idea how the internet and real life work?

I wonder where Highspots got Flair's $50K price tag (which is still embarrassingly low).

I look forward to him going off on the IWC. Hopefully, that will be its own section.

Gail Kim is going to pull off an Abyss. She'll be on Impact again REALLY soon.

Guest#9628 you have a lot to learn about life.

That was a rhetorical question based on exasperation of not knowing what who signed her.

Forget the TNA game, forget everything! The Flair shoot interview will be absolute GOLD!

However I think he should save it for his one appearance in TNA, and we all know it's coming.

So that WAS Mickey Rourke in the pic from that Hollywood Reporter article, right? From Marv to HBK, interesting...

Gail isn't doing an Abyss. She's being pretty straight forward about things. It's the internet news sites that are confusing things.

Gail Kim was at Dragon*Con over the Labor Day weekend and answered the fans as to when she was showing up in on WWE television by saying, times to numerous to count over those four days, that you shouldn't believe everything you read on the web, nothing has been signed, nothing has been confirmed, half the "confirmed" visits with WWE officials didn't happen and she's still not made up her mind yet.

If nothing else, I think she's just trying to work out a better money deal.
