WWE News: WrestleMania Special, WWE vs. Fighting Spirit Magazine and More

September 23, 2008 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– The original plan for the October 2nd WrestleMania special that will air on MyNetworkTV was for a special airing the main matches from Wrestlemania, and the idea was to make it like a movie, airing the matches with music in the background. No word if that has changed at this time.

– There were some issues between WWE and Fighting Spirit Magazine in the UK last week. The magazine printed a memo that was sent to them by WWE to members of the gaming press covering the new Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 videogame. In this memo WWE stated that the press could not use any screenshots of superstars (not to be called wrestlers) bleeding or of weapons being used, likely due to the company pushing the PG image lately. The other interesting tidbit was that there were to be no screens of HHH “in a defenseless or vulnerable position.” WWE was furious that this memo was published. The magazine then published a screenshot of a character that looked like HHH on his back with Kane hovering over him.

– AM Raw made a graphics error the past week, when the showed a graphic that said Mark Henry won the ECW Championship Scramble.
