More Friday news...
- Jeff Hardy required six stitches after his match with Vladimir Koslov in Barcelona. [WrestlingObserver.com]
- FCW will resume TV tapings for actual TV next month. The last few tapings have been for their own purposes and not for TV since no TV deal is in place. The belief is that now a deal has been reached. [PWInsider.com]
- Tonight's Smackdown will not air in Philadelphia as their local CW station is starting their new schedule tonight, replacing Smackdown which will move to MyNetworkTV next week.
- ROH sent out this statement today.
The 10/10 Coral Springs and 10/11 Orlando events have been postponed and will be rescheduled for early 2009. All tickets purchased for these events will be honored on the new dates. We hope to have a new dates announced next week. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your support. There's no word yet on the 10/12 Full Impact Pro event scheduled for that weekend that would have featured some of the same talents. I believe, but do not have confirmed, that light pre-sales for the ROH shows led to the postponement.

WTF ROH? Light advance sales? You had almost NO advance sales last time and you sold out two nights in a row! I was looking forward to this since last time ya'll came out here!
Better not make a habbit of this if you don't want to shoot yourselves in the foot.

Light preorders for the first Orlando shows weren't as dissappointing, if they were indeed light, because it was Wrestlemania Weekend, and I'm sure they promoted the hell out of that.
And those shows were amazing, by the way, but even with MCMGs, the lineups for both nights might not look as enticing as Dragon Gate Challenge II and Supercard of Honor III to the more casual ROH fans in that area.
Not that it's my call whatsoever, but I would run the shows there and if it doesn't turn out to be a success, damn and too bad. But a pair of shows, even if they get terrible attendance, won't kill a promotion.
Plus they'll never know what a "regular" non-Wrestlemania Weekend attendance would be. I know they rescheduled it, but then you might not be able to get MCMGs, which would be a HUGE loss for that weekend. They're the two most wrestling main streamy wrestlers they've got.
Shit they went to Vegas and unless my memory is completely gone, it was one of, if not THE worst attendance for a show. Which was to be excpected, it was their first real shows on the west coast (Unless you count those San Fransisco shows where they were a part of a much bigger event than themselves) but they still took the chance, and I'd wager to bet that Vegas is farther than Florida for them.
But like I said, not my choice, just some observations.

Wouldn't ROH know how their ticket sales were going?
