Damn, not one single Eddie-Benoit match. What a shame too, they've had many great matches w/ one another.
Catch me every night on Nick@Nite

damn you vince, no benoit matches?
its been a year already, let it rest
Posted By: BL4L (Registered) on September 26, 2008 at 05:52 PM
Drool worthy....Just missing some Japan matches, but I don't know if the WWE has the rights to those.
Posted By: Mike (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 05:54 PM
He had some of his best matches with Benoit and none of them are on here. While I understand what Benoit did was wrong, why hold off some of the arguably best matches in history because of that. And someone should come out with a 3 disc Benoit DVD simply because he was one of the greatest wrestlers ever period.

EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE

Looks Awesome plan to buy it!!!
Posted By: Austin (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 05:57 PM
Shame there is no Benoit match.
Posted By: G-Man (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 05:59 PM
RIP Eddie.
Posted By: FUZEY (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:00 PM
That looks like a great DVD but I really wish Benoit hadn't killed himself and his family....Eddy has had so many good matches involving Benoit.
Posted By: Mike (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:02 PM
wow; this one is loaded
Posted By: Bernie (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:03 PM
I've been trying forever to get a hold of the Starrcade match with Otani, I hear that it was a major MOTYC of 1995.
Posted By: Guest#4150 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:04 PM
finally some ECW eddie matches i actually might get this
Posted By: Guest#1936 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:06 PM
I guess they found a way around all of the Chris Benoit Matches..
Posted By: Aftergone (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:15 PM
Holy cow! What a great line-up! This looks to be one of the best WWE DVD sets in a long time.
Posted By: Wesgr81 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:15 PM
Shame no Benoit stuff... But, I understand
Posted By: Justin (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:15 PM
Wow, this DVD is full of the awesome
Posted By: Kent Baker (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:16 PM
its a shame theres none of his matches with you know who. not a shocker though.
Posted By: Litas Biggest Fan (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:18 PM
Looks like a no-brainer buy to me.
Posted By: Ryan (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:19 PM
DO WANT
Posted By: Guest#8211 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:20 PM
Very good list...but what about a Wrestle Mania...or even something with Benoit.....Even though Benoit was tragic...before his brain damage he was on top and him and Eddie were Best Friends....said to see he is being forgotten
Posted By: Untamespirit (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:23 PM
his last match really aucked.
Posted By: Guest#9701 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:24 PM
DO WANT BADLY.
Posted By: Anonymous Smart Mark (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:25 PM
Just to get it out of the way...OH NOES NO BENOIT MATCHES!!!!!!
Seriously, I know why they do it and am over it for as long as I need to be.
Posted By: James (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:27 PM
silvervision states that as a silvervision exclusive (wal mart as well normally is it not?) that there is a 4th disc featuring the eddie raw and smackdowns
chavo vs jbl has been promoted to main event on smackdown
Posted By: zhukov (Registered) on September 26, 2008 at 06:29 PM
That's an awesome lineup. A definite must-have. It's too bad though none of his matches with Benoit are on there. I liked their US title match in WWE to crown a new champ where Eddie won. And the post-match celebration at WM XX was nice too. But Benoit's been erased by WWE, and it's not like I can't understand why. It's a shame though.
Posted By: Joey Gladstone (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:31 PM
Holy fucking shit!
That could just about be the best lineup of matches on a DVD I've ever seen. I NEED this!
Posted By: Col (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:31 PM
i sense a distinct lack of benoit...
Posted By: Guest#8278 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:41 PM
isn't the brock match on the other guerrero dvd already?
Posted By: anon (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:45 PM
What no Benoit matches, Some of Eddie's greatest matches were with Benoit. No while agreed what Benoit was wrong the E don't have to hold beack what could be looked at as some of the greatest matches because of it. Bernoit had a natural talent and it should be recognized still!
Posted By: Sample Night (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:46 PM
Wow, looks awesome.
Posted By: Foolio (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 06:52 PM
epic~..... you know the rest.
joking aside, i would actually buy this dvd, glad its got the no dq match with edge, i think that match and the benoit/angle/mysterio match they had the same night was what kicked off the smackdown six
Posted By: DaJ (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 07:02 PM
Eddie's over rated
Posted By: black man (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 07:04 PM
Worth if for disc one alone.
Posted By: Ken B. (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 07:04 PM
too bad they wouldn't have him v.s Benoit. its a damn shame.
i do hope one day WWE lifts the ban on Benoit. if they did it probably won't be in my lifetime.
Posted By: g (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 07:15 PM
26 Eddie Guerrero matches and not one with Benoit. But it does have Haas and Benjamin so maybe I'll get it.
Posted By: Joe (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 07:23 PM
lame they have absolutely nothing with eddie and benoit
Posted By: Guest#5413 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 07:24 PM
amazing...im def. getting it when it first comes out..but no chris benoit matches does suck...

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No matches with He Who Shall Not Be Named! I will definitely be buying this DVD now!
Posted By: YouStayClassy (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 07:42 PM
Hey if not for the crap Benoit did, then WWE might not be as "family friendly"...the whole Benoit thing RUINED the WWE in my opinion, and while he was great, may he and the footage of him burn in hell

It makes perfect sense. One man(Guerrero) only hurt himself. The other(Benoit) killed his wife and young son. Do I need to spell it out for you? I know your a disabled piece of canadian trash but slurpees don't kill brain cells do they?

You are of course, absolutely correct. I swear, one little double murder/suicide and people act like there was something wrong with Benoit. I blame it on that damned political correctness BS. *ptui!*

his drugs were painkillers dammit

Pretty shitty of WWE not to include the Texas Bullrope Match.
Posted By: Propagandhi (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 07:57 PM
Both Benoit's and Guerrero's stories have the shittiest endings possible. It is a shame that the WWE has erased 1 of the top 5 best WRESTLERS we have ever seen. Maybe 1 day they will get over it and allow his HUGE body of work to be remembered. Not just his last sad couple days. That aside. More ECW would of been nice. God bless them both and they're families.
Posted By: BobbyZ (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 08:06 PM
benoit would come back and challenge for the title.
Posted By: iWish (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 08:10 PM

but seriously, this looks like a damn good DvD set.

Seriously Darth Mortis?I see you on here all the time with your horrible comments. Are you truly an idiot or just playing devil's advocate?
You can't honestly be comparing somebody who MURDERED two people to someone who had substance abuse problems.
I personally don't agree with the omission of Benoit from history but I can see that argument more than yours.
Posted By: Guest#6664 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 09:02 PM
No Benoit vs Guerrrerp is so stupid.. Thats not right that they can show the matches because Benoit supposely killed his family..Thats not far to Eddie or anybody else. The shi is wrong. Its old WWE get over it
Posted By: Temothe (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 09:06 PM
It blows my mind how people can care about seeing great matches featuring a murderer.
Posted By: Guest#6863 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 09:28 PM
Yeah, I agree. I wish Benoit did not kill his family and himself.
Posted By: homoslavia (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 09:51 PM
Here's what they (WWE) should do...make a 3 disc, end all, be all, Benoit DVD...but donate a portion of the proceedings to the whole concussion research thing. There, everyone's happy.

go figure, one of the few times mcmahon actually shows decency and good taste in not trying to make a dollar off of someone like chris benoit, and you guys bitch over it? that's fucking disgusting from all you guys whining about no benoit. matter of fact is mcmahon has grandchildren now, which along with his grown children that are at or older than chris was when he did what he did, so maybe he can understand by being a HUMAN BEING for a change what it'd be like to just say no. besides, from a PR perspective, it'll never be good enough time to use the footage of benoit for making a buck, because to paraphrase samuel l jackson in a time to kill, after killing nancy and daniel, yes, that motherfucker deserved to die, and i hope he burns in hell.

Eddie Guerrero is probably my favourite wrestler ever. I've been watching wrestling since 1990 and for sentimental value alone Eddie-Brock is one of my favourite matches and moments as a wrestling fan. Through hard work, determination and ability he worked through his problems and reached arguably the pinnacle of the business, and was always much more charismatic and entertaining than Benoit ever was. I don't care how good his Benoit matches were, this is a DVD about Eddie, and if it were the first product a publicly traded company released since ----->BENOIT KILLED HIS WIFE, FAMILY AND HIMSELF

You are such a dick wad. Yeah, society is funny that way. Commit a double murder/suicide and they tend to not think of you in a positive way.
As for the many others that want to cry for Vince to "let it go already," yeah, that will happen.
he cancelled the Machoman DVD and he just pissed Vince off. Benoit created this fire storm of drug testing and regulating wrestling as a result of his actions, not to mention Vince ended up with egg on his face for the tribute on RAW before the facts were in.
Hard Knocks is still available if you need Benoit matches that badly. I have a hard time watching him myself.
Posted By: The Coach (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 10:37 PM
If Eddie's getting a 3-disc set to follow up the 2-disc one from a few years ago, maybe there are no Benoit matches because they're preparing a 3-disc Benoit tribute. Did you think about that?!
Posted By: Guest#0498 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 10:52 PM
Personally I think the matches that they chose make up for the lack of Benoit. I always liked Dean and Eddie matches more than Eddie and Benoit. It isnt like it is a bad set. And from what I can tell only one match is a repeat from the other Eddie DVD (Lesnar one)

I'd buy a 20 disc Eddie set with or without Benoit matches.

I'd like to remind the Yanks that one is innocent until proven guilty in the US of A and there is reasonable doubt that he mentally incompetent to stand trial for murder.
If he was charged and convicted of a lesser crime (ie: not murder) then he wouldnt be a murderer, if he hasnt been charged with a crime then he isnt a murderer.
Show some respect for your Constitution and laws.

I for one am glad to see that this set has no Benoit.I used to be a fan of the Crippler but not anymore. The man killed is wife and CHILD!!I don't care how great he was HE IS A MURDERER!!I can't watch that sicko's matches anymore.I hope WWE keeps ingoring that he ever laced up a pair of boots!

damn, due to benoit, no smackdown six matches.

sorry, i thought that the wwe pushed gurrero as a role model for children just as they did with benoit and the rest of their talent.
so, as a role model, how many children were potentially influenced by gurrero's years of drug and alcohol abuse, and how many have killed their families.
if you think that benoit's aborhent and isolated concussion induced crime was more influential than gurrero's open drug and alcohol abuse then i do feel even more sorry for you than i already do.
(btw, as a canadian, no one here has to work in 7-11's...we have a growing economy, not one in a nose dive. MP, i will probably see you living on the streets of calgary soon, begging for work.
remind me to piss on you when i do.)

Two things. Firstly, Darth Mortis, shut the fuck up. You're a piece of shit and everyone hates you. Secondly, it wouldn't be wrong to have Benoit matches on this particular DVD set. The tragedy doesn't make him any less of a great wrestler, IMO. Although I do respect most everyone's opinions on the matter. Except Darth Mortis, because he's a pussy.
Posted By: Crazy8 (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 11:35 PM
While it is regrettable that there aren't any matches with Benoit from 2002, it is understandable given the situation. I imagine it will be many years before we see Benoit make it to DVD (if ever).
However the matches they have included more than make up. It's great to see them have a 3 DVD set that serves as a companion piece to the 3 DVD set released in 2004. In fact, only one of the matches was on both, the one where Eddie won the title.
There are a few exclusions that I would liked to have seen, such as the ladder match with Syxx from Souled Out, or the classic WMXX encounter, but this is a fine lineup. Furthermore, I am ecstatic that this is including the SD no DQ match with Edge, as I've never seen that one before and I've always wanted to see if it matches up to the hype.
Posted By: Michael L (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 11:36 PM
I think the Lesnar match is the only repeat from the dvd. 3rd disc is everything after the events of "cheating death stealing life".
Posted By: K. Bett (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 11:41 PM
Remember guys that as far as matches from the legendary "Smackdown Six" go, Edge has a DVD coming out in December. So I guarentee their will be more "SD6" matches on his DVD. No benoit I'm sure, but should be matches with Angle and maybe even another with Eddie on his DVD. The No DQ match was Edge/Eddie's most famous match with each other from back then, but it wasn't their only one.
As far as this Eddie set goes. All I can say is....THIS SET WILL OWN ALL! VIVA LA RAZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Concussion induced crime"-LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Good one Darth

eddie guerrero might have been a crackhead, but he didn't kill his wife and son, and if you don't remeber Vince said himself that the wwe would never mention chris benoit again and i don't know about you but i would rather do crack than kill my family.
Benoit was a great wrestler and so was Eddie so why are you hating,it's not eddies fault he didn't kill his family too, maybe we would be talking about this differntly.
Posted By: eddie fan (Guest) on September 26, 2008 at 11:58 PM
What a fantastic set
Posted By: Dwayne (Guest) on September 27, 2008 at 01:11 AM
So there will probably not even be a single mention of The Radicals and how they jumped ship from WCW to WWE, since it would involve mentioning Benoit.
Posted By: Scott B (Guest) on September 27, 2008 at 01:22 AM
SOLD!! This is a can't miss, could be one of the best DVD-sets ever.
Agreed it sucks none of the Eddie/Benoit matches are there but it'd be a PR disaster if they put them in, I don't agree with Benoit being wiped from history but I understand it from a business perspective.
Posted By: PJ (Guest) on September 27, 2008 at 01:56 AM
NICE list. They even included a match versus Shinjiro Ohtani on there. I'm impressed.

Say no more, I'm buying.

Mysterio/Guerrero from Smackdown in June of 05 should have gotten the nod.
Posted By: JP Nichols (Guest) on September 27, 2008 at 03:52 AM
While this set sounds totally awesome there is no way that a dvd about eddie guerrero can have no benoit matches they were so good. BTW im so glad they put the No DQ against Edge on that match is a classic
Posted By: Jim (Guest) on September 27, 2008 at 04:04 AM
You know what? Even Eddie would have been pissed there are no matches against Benoit on his best of dvd. I'm willing to bet he would have insisted there were before he gave his concesion to release it.
Posted By: Guest#5071 (Guest) on September 27, 2008 at 04:14 AM
"sorry, i thought that the wwe pushed gurrero as a role model for children just as they did with benoit and the rest of their talent."
what kind of twisted logic is this? um hello, eddie was put forward to us as cleaned up for his title run. by pushing eddie the E werent saying "abuse drugs and youll become wwe champion".
and btw, eddies gimmick was "lyin cheatin n stealin", how is that being a role model?
get stuffed mortis, so because eddie used to abuse recreational drugs your gonna make benoit out to be some angel?
granted benoit probably wasnt in his own mind when he MURDERED his FAMILY because his head was messed up but is that supposed to make it ok?

Was Eddie really a big enough star too warrant yet another 3 disk set or has the fact he killed himself? Outside of the 'OMG! Workrate' fans I dont see this selling well. Especially when a certain other person has many most of his best stuff cant be shown.

you guys bitching about benoit are so dumb.
benoit decided to erase his family and himself, why shouldnt the wwe do the same?

Respectively, NO ONE should be surprised that there are no Benoit matches included on this set.

One question WWE why the hell do you put in crappy JBl Eddie matches and leave out the only time Eddie had a WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania? Come to think of it where the hell is the freaking Documentary?

Fantastic set of matches, yeah so there no benoit matches but just look at that list, so many impressive matches & people still find something to complain about.
Theres a couple of matches against Benoit on other dvds, watch them & download the others for gods sake.
This could be the best dvd yet.

This DVD is a must-buy. The first two discs alone look superb. And if you want a DVD with Eddie-Benoit on it, buy Eddie's other DVD, there's a couple of Benoit appearances on there. I can still watch Benoit matches, but I can't for anything understand why people are so desperate for WWE to put more of his matches on DVD. You've obviously got the internet - do a search if you're that desperate!

"so a crackhead alcoholic like gurerro gets a 3 dvd set, and benoit is erased from wwe history.
yea...that makes sense."
Wait a minute. So a crackhead addict that finally beat his demons and a guy who murdered his wife and kid are on the same level?
I mean, I know Eddie still died as a result of his many, many years as an addict and it was 100% absolutely his fault, but how the fuck do you compare the end of Eddie's life to the end of Benoit's?
And shit, I'm even one of those people who can atleast watch a Benoit match now, but how do you justify a statement like yours?

Hey Wooder: Are you fucking serious?!?!? It is hard to stand trial for the murders you committed when everyone is dead!
Here's how it works, you strangle your wife and small child until they are no longer alive, you are an alleged murderer. You stand trial and a jury decides if you are in fact, a murderer.
When you do the same act but then kill yourself (thankfully saving us the time and cost of another high profile trial we do not need in our system) and you are deemed by the legal system to be a murderer.
I am sure Nancy and Daniel would share your concerns about Chris having his day in court, IF THEY WERE ALIVE.
