TNA News: Suicide on Hold, Karen Angle and More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 10.20.2008

- The Suicide character has now officially been put on hold due to Frankie Kazarian having surgery to repair his triceps. Due to the surgery he will likely be out until early 2009. The character was originally going to be debuting either with a run-in at Bound for Glory or shortly after.

- The door is open for Karen Angle to return to the company at some point, but as for now she is done. With the couple divorcing and their personal problems becoming public, the call was made to release her and keep Kurt, who is far more valuable. Kurt never asked the company to release her, and it was felt that it would make the work environment better if she wasn't around. Also there really wasn't anything they could come up with for her to do, as the Karen's Angle segments were considered by most as, "bad TV."

- When promoting Bound for Glory, Mick Foley said in a radio interview that he had mixed feelings at first about going to TNA, but now believes it was the right move and also says that he couldn't be happier.

Translation: Dixie and Jeff don't yell at me like big meanies.

Emo Foley is emo.

Cue the comments about Impact being bad TV in general. Not that I disagree or anything...

Whats the point of binging Suicide that late? They were gonna use him to promote the game(which they haven't done since its been out)why would you promote the game months after its been out.

Beat me to it thus guy. Proper marketing and advertising means having suicide before the game was released, not AFTER the game is released.

are they gonna have suicide and homicide team up

Posted By: Dan (Guest)  on October 20, 2008 at 01:56 AM

Hopefully they will release a DVD containing the other 38 Karen's Angle segments which were taped but never aired. However that would actually be more enjoyable than 3 DVDs equalling 9 hours worth of Kane matches

great idea dan then we can bring in Sabu because he is the homicidal, genocidal, suicidial, masochist.
they can be known as the TNAidals

Having a wrestler named suicide is rediculous. Once this wrestler(kaz) hits the tna ring, the authorities will be against

You guys should read WrestleView, they reported most of this stuff like 2 days ago. That's almost as bad as Larry & Ashish posting the same news right after each other. Right hand, meet left hand!

Can they be managed by infanticide?

Posted By: Dubya (Guest)  on October 20, 2008 at 04:30 AM

Karen has nice tits

"Suicide on hold" should be worded differently.

Posted By: Darren (Guest)  on October 20, 2008 at 04:40 AM

Yeah Suicide and Homicide, with Genocide joining them shortly after with Sabu as manager.....

"are they gonna have suicide and homicide team up

And managed by Sabu, please.

They could have just had Karen play Suicide until Kaz comes back.

Posted By: EZMark (Guest)  on October 20, 2008 at 09:03 AM

they should make a triple tag team and have sabu put on a costume and call him genocide.

Posted By: guest (Guest)  on October 20, 2008 at 09:38 AM

Homicide, Suicide, and soon to be Genocide. Together they form the Triangle of Death. Book it!

Or the Observer, where the news comes from in the first place. At least 411 credits their source.

The Suicide character was a mess of an idea !

It was only to promote the failed game...all of which is was also stated Frankie K was injured and undoubtedly would need surgery anyway !

Posted By: Guest#0829 (Guest)  on October 20, 2008 at 11:15 AM

Mick must apprecaite the better working conditions - you don't have to a slave to kiss-my-ass vinnie anymore! Good for you!

Short of Rey Mysterio, Makind, Abyss and Kane, has a masked character ever gotten over in the US in modern times? WCW cruiserweights don't count, they weren't over. I give less than a rats ass about Suicide, I want to see Kaz. And why would a character that I don't know make me want to buy a video game? Just a dumb idea all around. When Kaz is healthy, just bring him back, nobody will remember he quit, and if people do remember, after 3 weeks they won't care.

As for this statement "as the Karen's Angle segments were considered by most as, "bad TV." " That isn't Karen's fault, that is the fault of the writers, how about firing them.

MOST people thought it was "bad tv" ?
Whats the bet that Russo was the odd one out?

Posted By: SirCrudNoodles (Guest)  on October 20, 2008 at 04:38 PM

I almost thought it said "TNA: Suicide on hold" meaning we have to wait till 2009 till they kill themselves as a company, bugger.
