Well that's not too bad, the normal RAW 2 hours did better than recently.

Wow! Thought it would have done better than that. WWE is and should be worried because RAW was actually pretty good.

Posted By: Susan (Guest)  on November 04, 2008 at 06:19 PM

It probably scored it because Stephanie was there and in charge besides Shane. Everybody turns to Stephanie as a Goddess of Beauty. She is kinky, but knows how to fire someone if she has too...No offense Tripple HHH, but she is in tunnne.

So if you pretend it was only a two hour RAW, it actually scored a 3.25 which isn't great, but it's way better than a 2.9

This should be positive news for WWE that they were able to get that many people to tune in for the first hour, then grow their rating from last week in the next two hours.

But over all its still shit. Just more positive shit than last week.

Show had a nice flow to it, but nothing that made me gave any emotion to the product. Two things:

1. only interesting thing on RAW was the development of the Orton/Priceless angle...could be interesting.

2. Jericho carried Batista in the cage match. Batista was horrible in all spots around the cage door and Jericho worked his ass off to make it look somewhat passable.

I honestly think they deserve lower. That was the worst 3 hour Raw in a long time.

Only good think about it were the Orton segments, everything else sucked.

I think they should be scared, there not getting new audiences. They're barely retaining current viewers.

I swear to god WWE is on some kiddy bullshit.

I don't want to see two forty year old men perform childish humor for seven minutes.

MNF Pittsburgh has a huge number of viewers.

Makes sense that the first hour ratings weren't that good. I barely remembered it was on. No matter how much they advertise it, the first hour of these three hour shows are going to be low unless they do it at least more regularly, which I don't think they should IMO.

Posted By: Super Dragon (Guest)  on November 04, 2008 at 07:23 PM

holy crap that was a three hour show? i hope it wasn't as bad for you all who watched it as it was on paper.

How quickly everyone forgets that WCW was considered a failure when they used to get these ratings. Yet its ok when WWE pulls the same numbers? Sorry WWE nutswingers it's the truth.

Man i think they should get fresh meat they should get AJ Styles...FUCK! can u imagine him in WWE fuck i would wet myself in so many ways....:)

Well it's better than last weeks rating so thats good, especially as the 1st hour of the "super-shows" always draws a lower rating than the regular time slot.
overall it was an OK show with some good stuff here & there, cage match was very good considering Batista was in it, probably his best match since moving back to Raw.

Glad to see Adamle gone & they put the belt back on Jericho. I think they shouldn't have given Punk vs Orton away on free TV, this was Orton's big return so they should have given him a couple of warm-up matches, have Punk keep trying to attack him each week but Orton manages to escape so Shane sets up a first time ever: RKO vs Punk at Survivor Series in some kind of stip. match for Punk to get his revenge. I just think it could have helped sell the PPV a bit better

"How quickly everyone forgets that WCW was considered a failure when they used to get these ratings. Yet its ok when WWE pulls the same numbers? Sorry WWE nutswingers it's the truth."

These numbers didn't translate to as many viewers as they do today, either.

Last night's Raw had around 4.5 million viewers. WCW at the end was peaking at just over 3 million viewers on a great week.

"Wow! Thought it would have done better than that. WWE is and should be worried because RAW was actually pretty good."

The fact that RAW "was actually pretty good" would be not reflected in the rating at all. That's not the way TV ratings work. You don't have a good show one week and get more viewers that very same week.

What does that say to the TNA "nutswingers" when they can't get half that rating?

While some may disagree, I thought the dancing segment was the worst thing WWE has produced since the Katie Vick angle. DAMN!!

Mae Young almost killing herself in the ring was pretty sad in a hilarious way.

Why the fuck are you bringing TNA into the equation? Are you forgetting that WWE would still be in the shitter if TNA weren't around?

Posted By: Dog (Guest)  on November 04, 2008 at 10:18 PM

That is an amazing number considering the crap RAW has been putting out. I am sure it will fall after watching Batista blow spot after spot in that main event.

If it wasnt for Orton & Jericho, RAW would have been unwatchable.

funny, i was thinking the same thing about everyone who keeps bringing up the past ratings as if they actually were better.

there isn't much difference between a 3.0 now, and a 4.5 - 5.0 then, other than the way that ratings are calculated, and the de-evolution of most of the people on the internet who comment on them.

I hope the ratings continue to drop.

heh, you DO realise that drop means to descend, and not to ascend as these ratings have done over the last week's episode, right?

or are you just another product of the american education system?

Let's hope the ratings continue to tank.

"Why the fuck are you bringing TNA into the equation? Are you forgetting that WWE would still be in the shitter if TNA weren't around?"

Well, when someone on this site uses a term like 'WWE nutswinger' they are clearly a TNA guy coming into a WWE forum to tell everyone that WWE is on their way out of business. I was just pointing out that while he would call a 3.0 a "failure," he would be falling all over himself if TNA managed a 1.3, showing how much higher Jarrett and Co. have to climb before they will ever be considered number one and WWE will be considered a "failure."

And stop kidding yourself. TNA has absolutely no impact on the product WWE puts out, at this point in time. They're still a small band of performers compared to Vince McMahon's crew.

Posted By: Homie (Guest)  on November 05, 2008 at 09:34 AM

Well, at least the ratings increased on every hour.

Posted By: Oh yeah (Guest)  on November 05, 2008 at 01:57 PM

"there isn't much difference between a 3.0 now, and a 4.5 - 5.0 then"

No no difference except that a 3.0 still means 3% of the audience and a 5.0 still means 5%, and that MILLIONS of people make up the difference. Other than that, no difference at all sir.

Posted By: Guest#7881 (Guest)  on November 05, 2008 at 02:04 PM

"How quickly everyone forgets that WCW was considered a failure when they used to get these ratings. Yet its ok when WWE pulls the same numbers? Sorry WWE nutswingers it's the truth."

Thats because WWE don't have competition ratings wise. WCW did.
