Rey Gonzales vs Bronco #1, Thunder & Lightning vs Team 3D, Abdullah vs Balls, Sewell vs Evans, Sabu vs Corino vs Burke, Abby retires and much more!
World Wrestling Council LockOut Results from Bayamon, PR on December 13th, 2008
Attendance: 2,000+
- "The Man-Beast" Angel defeats El Profe by pinfall. Mini-Profe helps Angel win as payback for Profe turning on him. Funny how Profe is overweight and unable to do much in the ring, but he has better psychology and draws more heat than the younger guys.
-WWC Tag Team Titles #1 Contender Elimination Match:
The four teams where Los Aerios (Carlitos & Hiram Tua), Los Adorables (Rick & Love Adonis), The Texas Outlaws (Bad Boy Bradley & Todd Dean) and the team of Huracan Castillo & Rico Suave, who call themselves Evolution Hardcore. The finish has a double pin with The Texas Outlaws and Evolution Hardcore being declared co-winners and apparently co-#1 contenders.
-WWC Puerto Rican Title: Ladder Match
"The Phenomenal" BJ defeats Tommy Diablo to become the Puerto Rican Champion in a true MOTYC for Puerto Rico. BJ seemed to hurt himself during a big fall from the ladder, but managed to continue the bout.
- Armando Alejandro Estrada comes out and offers his managerial services to Thunder & Lightning, but they refuse.
-WWC World Tag Team Titles:
Thunder & Lightning defeat Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) by DQ when Armando Alejandro Estrada gets involved. Team 3D then give Thunder a 3D through a table, possibly setting up a rematch for the next big WWC event Euphoria in January.
- Abdullah the Butcher's retirement ceremony. Various wrestlers and staff came out to honor him. He was given a plaque and then danced for the fans. Abby dancing = ELEVENTY BILLION STARS!
-Hardcore 3-Way Dance:
"The Suicidal" Sabu defeats "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino & "The Elijah Express" Elijah Burke by pinfall. Sabu & Corino where busted open during the match. Sabu is significantly slower than he was in the past, but the match was pretty good and kept the fans into it.
- "Glammour Boy" Shane Sewell defeats "The Hammer" Charles Evans by pinfall. Shane stole Chicky Starr's baseball bat and used it to knock out Evans and win. Evans and the rest of the heels then turned on Starr and beat him up.
- Carlito's Cabana: Carlito and Primo come out and goof around a bit. They bring out Fidel Sierra and Fantasy as guests. More tomfoolery. Jose Chaparro comes out and says that this is Chaparro's Cabana and brings out Orlando Colon. He demands that Orlando grands permission to reinstate Bronco #1, but Orlando refuses. Fidel then rips Chaparro's pants off, Carlito spits the apple on his face and Primo throws him outside.
NOTE: In storyline terms, Bronco is retired after loosing the retirement vs retirement match vs Orlando Colon earlier in the year. But due to his actions against Rey Gonzales, the Puerto Rican Wrestling Representatives granted him a special "one match" license. So technically he will be back retired after that match unless the person that retired him, Orlando, grants permission for Bronco to be reinstated in full.
-Special Referee: Carlos Colon
Abdullah the Butcher defeats Balls Mahoney/with Armando Alejandro Estrada by DQ. Estrada attacks Abby which leads to Carlos calling for the DQ. Carlos and Abby almost got into it because Abby felt he could have continued. Nothing happens, Abby's manager thanks the fans, except Carlos. Soooooo.....no big "Carlos and Abby bury the hatchet moment". The 30 year plus feud never ended then.
- Bronco #1 defeats "Mr. Ratings" Rey Gonzales by pinfall. Rey steals a bat, knocks out the ref and then Bronco. A masked man runs out and nails Rey with a chair, which leads to Bronco getting the pinfall win. Bronco says that he beat the Universal Champion clean in the middle of the ring and thus, even "retired" he deserves a shot at the belt. He demands that Rey gives him a title shot in January.
Wow that actually sounds fun. Seems like there are a lot of shenanigans, but fun nonetheless.

From what I understand, Thunder and Lighting have been in the game for a while...how are they in the ring these days?
BTW, have you found any online matches of theirs?

Actually, this is NOT the same Thunder & Lightning from WCW, this are two Puerto Rican wrestlers who debuted around 9-10 years ago. I don't think there is anything online, but if there is, I will post links here.

So Elijah Burke isn't "The Black Pope" anymore? Damn it! Good to see Sabu, Corino, Balls, and the Dudleys in the same building at the same time...
Carlito & Primo from WWE...
Team 3D & Shane Sewell from TNA...
I know the Colons are legacies in WWC, and Sewell has stronger ties to PR than TNA, but it's pretty cool to see guys from both companies on the same card.
Colons vs. Team 3D vs. Thunder & Lightning...BOOK IT!
