WWE Releases Tim White and Kevin Thorn
– In a decision that shocked many, WWE has released long time referee and producer/agent Tim White today. White was a referee for many years until suffering a severe shoulder injury in the 2002 HHH vs. Chris Jericho Hell in a Cell Match. Since then he has worked in the backstage role, while rehabbing the injury. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]
– Kevin Thorn, real name Kevin Fertig, was also released today. Thorn had some success on the ECW brand, but after the release of Shelly Martinez, he was sent to developmental for a makeover into a new character. During his time back in developmental, Thorn suffered a shoulder injury, which required surgery and rehab. He was recently set to return to Smackdown as a part of Vade Hansen’s group, but that was scrapped. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]
