Rey Gonzales vs Charles Evans, BJ vs Steve Corino and new Tag Team Champions!
World Wrestling Council Results from Bayamon, PR on January 10, 2009
- "The Man-Beast" Angel defeats Achilles the Bodyguard by pinfall.
-WWC Women's Title:
Killer Kat defeats Sweet Nancy by pinfall to retain the WWC Women's Title. Kat wins with assistance from the heel ref Mr. Mac.
- El Profe defeats Little Ricky Rubio by pinfall. Profe gets out a set of brass knuckles and prepares to nail Rubio, but the ref spots him and they struggle for the knucks. Mr. X runs in with the loaded boot and nails Rubio, knocking him out cold. Profe then allowed the ref to take away the knucks and covered Rubio for the win.
- Los Aerios (Carlitos & Hiram Tua) defeat Ricky Reyes & Johnny Styles by pinfall. Reyes and Carlitos end up brawling after the bout and have to be pulled apart.
-Non-Title Match
WWC Universal Champion "Mr. Ratings" Rey Gonzales defeats "The Hammer" Charles Evans by pinfall. During the bout the masked man ran in to distract Rey, but Rey took him out of the bout and then defeated Evans. Rey then offered $5,000 to anyone who can bring him the masked man so he can take him out once and for all.
-WWC Puerto Rican Title
"The Phenomenal" BJ defeats "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino by DQ. Before the bout begins, Corino and the heel ref Mr. Mac come out. Corino is wearing civilian clothing and says the cannot compete tonight. He offers to return the title belt he stole to BJ. BJ comes out and of course, it was a trap. Corino nailed BJ with the title belt and took off his clothes to reveal he had wrestling gear underneath. He could not put BJ away and after constant interferences from heel ref Mr. Mac, the bout's official ref called for the DQ.
-WWC Tag Team Titles:
Hardcore Evolution (Rico Suave & Huracan Castillo) defeat Thunder & Lightning by pinfall to become the new WWC Tag Team Champions. Very solid brawl, the finish has Lightning spearing the ref by mistake and the heel ref Mr. Mac took his place. Mac made a fast count allowing Suave and Castillo to win the bout. Both teams where faces, but Castillo and Suave acted like heels.
