Tag Teams and the Greatest Stars of the 90s!
- As announced by Jim Ross on his blog, WWE is working on a "Greatest Tag Teams" DVD, which will be released sometime in 2009.
- WWE will also be producing a sequel to the "Greatest Superstars of the 80s" DVD, titled "Greatest Superstars of the 90s". The DVD would feature stars of the Attitude Era, the rise of the original ECW, and the Monday Night Wars. That DVD is set for release in April.
If Aldo Montoya and Leif Cassidy aren't on this 90's DVD Im not buying it!

I agree with 5603. I hope they have some obscure stuff and not just Rock and Austin crap. They each had their own set already.
Ahmed Johnson? Ummm, yeah. The set is called Greatest Stars of the 1990's, not Greatest Stars of 1997.

"Greatest Superstars of the 90s?" It better include the greatest WCW superstars of the 90s, such as Alex Wright, PN News, Van Hammer, Big Sky, Sgt. Craig Pittman, Villano IV, Glacier, Prince Eukanuba, and Loch Ness. And don't forget La Parka!

Posted By: Mike Ockutz (Guest) on January 12, 2009 at 07:19 PM
Actually he didn't say 1990's and there are a few early experimental D.W Griffith and Edwin S. Porter reels of 1890's carnival star the Great Gargundel in existence. However they are all only about 11 seconds in length fo expect the rest of the DVD to be HHH and Gerald Brisco verbally burying the Great Gargundel
Posted By: jasonel (Guest) on January 12, 2009 at 07:22 PM
Me an' my brother Owen better be on that DVD.
Posted By: Bret Hart (Guest) on January 12, 2009 at 07:28 PM
Sweet! WWE Universe rejoice! More Attitude Era highlights for the WWE Universe! I can't get enough of the prime years of the Attitude era! Bout damn time that they realized that the majority of the WWE Universe feels the same way!
Posted By: Mark (Guest) on January 12, 2009 at 07:35 PM
So, where are the details?
Posted By: MDK (Guest) on January 12, 2009 at 08:55 PM
And once again they will omit the existance of Machman Randy Savage. So sad. Vince...let it go. Let it go.
Posted By: The Coach (Guest) on January 12, 2009 at 10:11 PM
I really hope they actually, y'know, include the greatest wrestling superstars of the 90s. Focus the DVD on Austin, Rock, Foley, Sting, Flair, Hogan, The Outsiders, HBK, Undertaker, and Bret Hart.. but make sure you give props to Yokozuna, Piper, DDP, Luger, Shamrock, Owen, Raven, RVD, Savage, Sandman, Dreamer, Sabu, Muta, Steamboat, Angle, Scott Steiner, Booker T, Vader, Jeff Jarrett, the Dudleyz/E&C/Hardyz feud, Eddie Gurrerro, Chris Benoit, and Rey Mysterio Jr. It's sad, but those guys made up most of the memorable events in wrestling in the 90's.
And before you start.. I'm well aware that Savage, Benoit, Raven, Jarrett, and Foley all have about a snowball's chance in hell of being featured... but they should have some mention of them.
Posted By: Blackbird 13 (Guest) on January 12, 2009 at 11:41 PM
Why would you want Aldo Montoya and Leif Cassidy on that DVD set?
Posted By: Dwayne (Guest) on January 13, 2009 at 01:24 AM
Yes...I'm on the DVD!
Posted By: JustinCredible (Guest) on January 13, 2009 at 02:34 AM
I'm still waiting for a "best of jobbers and squashes" dvd
Posted By: tmw (Guest) on January 13, 2009 at 07:22 AM
I like the DVD's, But what I want is a Chris Jericho DVD. He deserves one.
Posted By: psjmitch (Guest) on January 13, 2009 at 09:47 AM
That 90's DVD should contain Rick Rude, Raven, Owen Hart, Vader, Bunkhouse Buck(kidding on that one), Blacktop Bully(that one too), Sting, Shane Douglas
Posted By: Richard Thomas (Guest) on January 13, 2009 at 01:16 PM
You know who every list on the 90's DVD forgot? El Dandy!
Who are you to doubt El Dandy?
Posted By: DSJ (Guest) on January 13, 2009 at 02:24 PM
Actually Kurt angle made his WWE PPV debut against Shawn Stasiak at the November 1999 Royal Rumble. So unless his match at the December 99 PPV was a 3 hour draw against Lou Thesz which took place on top of 3 Hell in a Cell Cages on top of each other with the Great Gargundel as special referee, his legacy in the decade couldn't have been that meaningful
Posted By: Guest#0242 (Guest) on January 13, 2009 at 08:45 PM
I hope the Greatest Superstars of the 90s dvd talks about all the major superstars of that era. Pillman, Owen, Bret, and everyone else that was mention
