WWE Releases Referee Mickey Henson and Matt Cappotelli
According to Pwinsider.com , WWE has released referee Mickey Henson and wrestler Matt Cappotelli. Mickey Henson also worked as worked as Mickey Jay in WCW, and had been refereeing for over 20-years. He had recently been on a medical leave from the company. Matt Cappotelli won a contract on the WWE show Tough Enough during the show’s third season, the same season that John Hennigan (now John Morrison) won. While working in OVW, Cappotelli was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had successful surgery in 2007. He was hoping for a return to the ring eventually, and WWE had kept him under contract the entire time.
