IWA Puerto Rico Results for January 24th 2009 from Toa Alta, PR
- El Niche defeats El Escorpion by pinfall at 9:21. The Dominican Revolution run in to attack Niche until Chicano makes the save.
-Clash of Champions: Non-Title Match
IWA Intercontinental Champion "The Golden Latino" Joe Bravo defeats IWA Puerto Rican Champion "The Rebel" Chris Joel by pinfall at 12:34 after nailing Joel with a set of brass knuckles.
-Open Challenge: Non-Title Match
IWA Women's Champion Amazona defeats Latin Boy (a male jobber) by pinfall at 10:47.
-Grudge Match:
"Ravishing" Richard Rondon defeats "Dangerous" Rick Stanley by pinfall at 11:59 by using the ropes for leverage. Stanley tries to explain to the ref that Richard cheated and Richard attacks him from behind. Stanley fights back and takes control, but Noel Rodriguez runs in to help Rondon and the heels beat Stanley down. Chris Joel makes the save.
-Ladder Match: #1 Contenders at the IWA Tag Team Titles
La Cruz del Diablo (Diabolico & Cruzz) vs The Arabians (Hardam Kadaffi & Zaer Arafat) finishes in No-Contest at 15:12 due to interferences from Iman Ali, "Mr. Pleasure" Raymond Zales, "The Mysterious Masked Man" and the team of Spectro & Ramstein.
-Handicap Match:
"The Illegal" Chicano defeats El Bacano, Balbuena & Eli Rodriguez of Dominican Revolution by pinfall at 14:25. After the bout, Joe Bravo comes out and he and Chicano face-off and trade insults to build up to their title match next week. The promoter Edwin Vazquez Ortega comes out and assigns a special referee: Dennis Rivera!
-IWA Tag Team Titles:
Team Malice (Dennis Rivera & Noel Rodriguez) defeat "Buffalo" Bison Smith & "El Boricua" Miguel Perez by pinfall at 16:38 to win the IWA Tag Team Titles. During the match "The Mysterious Masked Man" and Ravishing Richard interfered on behalf of Team Malice.
