World Wrestling Council Results for January 24th 2009 from Bayamon, PR
- "El Aerio" Hiram Tua defeats "The Stylish Man" Johnny Styles by pinfall. Good opener from the two juniors, crowd was very into the match.
-WWC Women's Title:
Sweet Nancy defeats Killer Kat to become the new WWC Women's Champion.
- Little Ricky Rubio defeats Mr. X by pinfall
- Ricky Reyes defeats "El Aerio" Carlitos by pinfall
- "The Phenomenal" BJ defeats "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino by DQ when Charles Evans runs in. The heels do the 2 on 1 beatdown until Rey Gonzales and Chicky Starr run in for the save.
-Non-Title Match:
WWC Universal Champion "Mr. Ratings" Rey Gonzales defeats "The Hammer" Charles Evans by pinfall. Very overbooked. The masked man that has been stalking Rey, now called "La Pesadilla" (The Nightmare) tried to run in, but Chicky Starr threatened him with his baseball bat and Pesadilla stopped cold on his tracks. This was a distraction for Steve Corino to run in, but Rey disposed of him. As the ref was distracted with the Rey-Corino fracas, Starr nailed Evans with a series of baseball bat shots, leaving him ready for Rey to beat.
-Grudge Match:
"The Man-Beast" Angel vs "Mr. Puerto Rico" Tommy Diablo went to double count-out.
-Hardcore Match: WWC Tag Team Titles:
Hardcore Evolution (Huracan Castillo & Rico Suave) defeat Thunder & Lightning to retain the belts. Rico had set-up a table, but Lightning put Rico through it. Castillo came in with the ring bell and knocked out Lightning, then put Suave on top for the pinfall win. Match of the night by far.
