Posted by Armando Rodriguez on 02.16.2009

IWA Puerto Rico's Night of Champions from Bayamon, PR on February 14th, 2008.

-IWA Puerto Rican Title:
"Dangerous" Rick Stanley defeats "The Rebel" Chris Joel to become the new IWA Puerto Rican Champion. After the bout Team Malice (Rivera, Rondon & Rodriguez) hit the ring and welcome Stanley into Team Malice. Dennis Rivera then warns Rondon that he better win the Caribbean Title tonight or he will be kicked out of the group, since he is the only one that is title-less.

-IWA Women's Title:
Amazona vs Genesis went to no contest. The match never began because Genesis came out and said that she cannot compete because she is pregnant! Amazona congratulates her and says that she will be waiting for her to comeback. Amazona then slaps the shit ouf of Genesis and knocks her out as EMT's hurry to the scene.

-IWA Caribbean Title: Battle Royal
"Ravishing" Richard Rondon wins the Battle Royal and becomes the first IWA Caribbean Champion. Final two where Rondon and Cruzz and Rondon won by submission with the Ravishing Crossface.

-IWA Intercontinental Title:
Super Crazy defeats "The Golden Latino" Joe Bravo to become the IWA Intercontinental Champion! Finish has Bravo trying to use a set of brass knuckles, but Crazy steals them and blasts Bravo for the win and the title. This is Crazy'a 5th IWA Intercontinental Title and first since 2002.

-IWA Tag Team Titles:
L.A.X. (Homicide & Hernandez) defeat Team Malice (Dennis Rivera & Noel Rodriguez) by pinfall to become the new IWA Tag Team Champions! Homicide nails the Gringo Killer for the win.

-Panama's RXW Championship: Extreme Rules
"El Boricua" Savio Vega defeats Necro Butcher by pinfall after the Caribbean Sidekick. Great bout with both men busted open. Team Malice hits the ring and attacks Necro for not doing his job, but Savio makes the save. Savio and Dennis are left alone in the ring and their mom hurries to the ring to prevent a fight. This all ends with Dennis nailing Savio with a kick from behind and knocking him into their mother, who is then taken out by EMT's.

-IWA Undisputed World Title:
"The Illegal" Chicano defeats Samoa Joe to retain the title. The original ref was taken out when Noel Rodriguez tried to throw some powder on Chicano and it ended up on the ref instead. Joe went for the Muscle Buster, but Chicano countered into a victory roll. Pelayo Vazquez makes his return to IWA by running in and counting the pinfall.

Screw IWA... They could have made amends with America by having a memorial tournament for Bruiser Brody's beard!

Samoa Joe's stock has fallen quicker than Enron's the last four months. I was never really a fan of his, but its sad to see.
