- Colt Cabana, the former Scotty Goldman, spoke on his WWE release on his MySpace today:
SEEYA!!!!!

Yes. I was released by WWE. There's only two things that are on my mind right now.

1) Move back to Chicago.
2) Go to England and Professionally Wrestle Johnny Saint.
There'll be a lot more to come, but for now, sit tight.

Goodbye Scotty Goldman. Hello (again) Colt Cabana!

GOOD TIMES, GREAT MEMORIES!

Doesn't sound like he's bitter. More like he's taking it in stride. A guy can't hardly ever be on tv and expect to continue collecting a paycheck.

He doesn't seem bitter at all. He actually seems to be coping quite well.

Most guys who get snatched up from he indies and get a cup of coffee do it for two things: The money and the exposure. Did Colt make a lot of money? Probably not, but it was more than he was making in the indies most likely. Did he get a lot of exposure? Again, not really, but it's more than he got on the indies. Now, if he so chooses, he might be able to ask for a little more from the promoters for booking him. He's happy to be back on the indies, let's just be happy for him.

"*sigh* another bitter ex wwe wrestler"

I know, right?! All ex-WWE wrestlers should be ecstatic that their livelihood and means of providing for themselves and their family got jacked up because the WWE's AWESOME writers just can't think of anything to do with them. "Undercard?!? What's *THAT*?!?"

Leave the memories alone..

Colt doesn't come over as bitter at all in that statement xLx. To me he just seems like he's is gonna make some opportunities for himself now that he is able to do so. Good for him!
I have always been a big fan of the guy and his work ethic. Every time I've seen him come over to England to do some shows he seems to really relish the opportunity to work a different style, learn and get some interaction with the fans. I hope someone at IPW:UK sees this and books the guy for May 3rd on the same card as Danielson vs London. That show could really be one to remember!

How is he bitter? Because he said he wants to go back to Chicago and he said goodbye to the cornball ring name they gave him?

Posted By: Flying Dutchman (Guest)  on February 21, 2009 at 08:21 AM

He will land on his feet, and be the indy superstar we all know that he can be.

Posted By: James (Guest)  on February 21, 2009 at 08:39 AM

Woot! That's even better then catching him on ROH, I can actually go to that match.

Don't leave Colt! Someone will find something for you. Maybe we should all write the WWE and demand he get his job back?

Posted By: Colt fan (Guest)  on February 21, 2009 at 08:51 AM

The only thing he should be bitter about is how much of his brief time there WWE wasted. I think combined, he was maybe in about 4 televised matches, with the rest of his time being spent on WWE.com and commnetating for FCW. He likely knew the writing was on the wall. Pretty crazy to think that Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder still have jobs though. What do those two do anyway?

Anyway, all the best to Scotty...er...I mean Colt! He seems to be taking it in a pretty positive fashion.

Sounds like Colt couldn't give two shits less about being released by WWE. He sounds kinda happy about it, actually.

And in the horror movie, does Jericho get chased by fat, ugly fan mnsters and have to punch them to survive?

good god, the vitriol that some people reserve for specific promotions is astounding,. if u like a promotion better than all the rest, good for u, this whole thing is about enjoying yourself. there's really no need to put everything down all the time. personally i'm just happy to see Colt back where he belongs, and hopefully back in ROH :)

Mainstream America doesn't like you Goldman. Go Cena!

Posted By: Vito (Guest)  on February 21, 2009 at 05:02 PM

That blog by Heyman is absolute garbage. Even he is blowing his man-jizz for Orton. Is he sucking up to Vince for a job now that his attempt at a career in writing TV scripts has failed miserably? Heyman is a fat, worthless slug.

Ah what am I doing?!?!? This guy's never even been to Chicago

My boy Cena would squeeze the shit out of that no-name loser with his great That Submission Hold. Seriously, everybody taps to that and there's no counter to That Hold. You have just been owned!
